Gu Shaoxuan thought to himself, "This wife of mine is actually starting to dislike me because she can't help me."
"The attending physician didn't say I can't smell cooking fumes. I'll do the bellows for you."
Gu Shaoxuan muttered to himself as he moved toward the stove.
Xia Enruo couldn't understand what was wrong with him. She was trying to help him, but he didn't appreciate it. She wanted him to work the bellows all day, but she had to cook a lot of dishes herself.
She ignored him and continued cooking.
Gu Shaoxuan stayed in the kitchen, working the bellows and refusing to leave, disrupting many of Xia Enruo's cooking plans.
She originally planned to make Sichuan-style spicy pork ribs, but she was afraid that Gu Shaoxuan would be choked by the pungent fumes, so she had to change it to sweet and sour pork ribs.
They changed boiled fish to braised fish, and then simply changed stir-fried cabbage to pork stew with vermicelli.
Gu Shaoxuan was really working hard with the bellows, and he didn't seem tired at all. He probably had been lying in the hospital for too long and had no energy to use, so he used it all on the bellows.
"Is it hot?"
Xia Enruo looked at the bright fire in the stove, which made his face turn red, so he asked.
"It's not hot."
Gu Shaoxuan retorted stubbornly.
Xia Enruo took a damp towel and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"You said you weren't hot, but your forehead is sweating."
Yuan Qiang looked at Old Gu, who was covered in sweat, and laughed:

Xia Enru thought about it and realized that this would affect the taste of her cooking, as some dishes need to be simmered over low heat.
"Please leave."
Xia Enruo pushed Gu Shaoxuan to the door.
"Stay here and enjoy the breeze, stop causing trouble."
Poor Gu Shaoxuan was kicked out; who told him to make such a loud noise with the bellows!
