When Xia Enruo returned home, Yuan Qiang was already inside chatting with Gu Shaoxuan.
Gu Shaoxuan's task, assigned early in the morning, was to look after the clothes in the yard to prevent them from being blown to the ground by the wind.
He was truly dedicated to the tasks his wife assigned him; when Xia Enruo returned home, not a single piece of clothing fell off the clothesline.
"Sister-in-law, you're back."
Yuan Qiang greeted Xia Enruo as she entered the house.

Xia Enruo went inside and busied herself making lunch. She had taken the meat out of the refrigerator to thaw before leaving in the morning. Today she planned to make beef stew with potatoes, steam some steamed cakes, and mix some bitter chrysanthemum to cool her body.
Looking at the car full of clothes, Yuan Qiang truly admired Xia Enruo.
"Old Gu, your wife is getting more and more capable. Look at that whole car full of clothes, and there are so many more drying in the yard. Most women really can't do this kind of heavy work."

“Yuan Qiang, come over whenever you have time. I’ll cook you a few more dishes, including many that you haven’t tried before.”
"That's right, Enruo is a good cook, let her show you a few more of her skills."
Yuan Qiang watched the two of them chatting and laughing, suppressing a smile to himself. Wasn't this just how a married couple should act?
"By the way, I heard that Ding Haotian and Qiao Huizhen got divorced."
Xia Enruo's eyes widened as she listened.
Are you serious?
Gu Shaoxuan also didn't believe it; Ding Haotian loved his wife so much, how could he easily let go?
"It's true. The political commissar said that Ding Haotian personally drafted the divorce report."
I heard that Ding Haotian was recuperating at home, but Qiao Huizhen not only refused to cook for him, but also kept running away from home and never came back. Gu Shaoxuan looked at Xia Enruo, his eyes slightly moist. If he had been with Qiao Huizhen, he probably would have been crippled long ago.
Xia Enruo folded and wrapped Mao Xiangling's clothes, putting them in her pocket. She first asked Yuan Qiang to take her shopping, and then they would go to the medical university in the afternoon.
"Sister-in-law, is it true that Old Gu said you're going to sell boxed lunches?"
