Chapter 28 Yunniang Becomes Suspicious

"Xue'er, what do you need this for?"

After giving Han Yuchen a massage, Han Luoxue knew that Han Laoba was good at woodworking, so she drew a rough model on the ground and asked Han Laoba if he could make it.

"It's a little useful. I wonder if Uncle Ba can make it?"

When thinking about hydroponics, the first thing you need is a container. In this era, there's no plastic or steel. The buckets and basins we use at home are all made of wood.

There are bamboos in the Wuling Mountains, but it's inconvenient to split them. However, we could try finding some thicker bamboos and cutting them into sections.

Of course, wooden containers are also needed.

"Uncle should be able to do this. I'll try it in a bit, and you can see if it's usable after I finish it."

Uncle Han was idle at home anyway, so having something to do would help pass the time. Besides, this little girl was someone Han Yuchen liked, so he naturally pampered her.

"Then I'll have to trouble you, Uncle Ba."

Han Luoxue smiled sweetly and turned to look at Han Yuchen: "Brother Chen, can you come with me to the mountains to cut some bamboo tomorrow?"

"Okay. Xue'er, I have some bamboo in my backyard, do you think we can use it?"

Han Luoxue excitedly wanted to go out and see, and Han Yuchen hurriedly followed. Han Laoba smiled helplessly and muttered, "It's so good to be young."

However, the little girl said Han Yuchen's leg could be saved; it's uncertain whether he'll live to see that day. If the young master's leg could fully recover, it would be truly remarkable. The old general would be overjoyed to know, and the world in the capital would change dramatically.

Why did those people relentlessly hunt down Han Yuchen? Even though he was crippled and disfigured, they never gave up. Wasn't it because they feared his abilities?

"These are all land cleared last year."

Pointing to the bamboo behind the house, Han Yuchen went over and picked up a stalk: "It's quite thick, and it's been growing for several years."

Han Luoxue looked at it and saw that the bamboo was indeed not thin; it had been cut down last year and was quite sturdy.

"Sure, Brother Chen, can I have it?"

"Well, I have no use for it."

Han Luoxue smiled gratefully. Her eyes crinkled when she smiled, revealing two small dimples, which made Han Yuchen's heart skip a beat.

Han Yuchen didn't stand on ceremony and simply took some and carried them away.

"Deliver it to your home?"

"Okay, let's put it in the backyard."

She can't just put all these things away now, can she?

Han Yuchen nodded, his steps steady and powerful, except for a slight limp.

It's a pity, but she will help her get better.

Han Luoxue also picked up a few and carried them away. Just as she was about to leave, Han Yuchen saw her and quickly said:

"You take a break, I'll do it."

"Brother Chen, I'm fine too, let's go together."

She wasn't some delicate young lady. Although the original owner of this body was beautiful, she could do all the housework and farm work.

Back home, Han Luoxue went to the kitchen, took out a dozen or so sticks, and asked her younger sister to start cooking them.

The two made three trips back and forth before finally moving everything to the backyard. Looking at the robust bamboo stalks, Yunniang curiously took Han Luoxue's hand:

"Xue'er, what are you going to do with all this?"

"Mother, it's a secret."

Han Luoxue wanted to secretly store the items into her spatial storage at night, but making them into bamboo tubes would require cutting them down section by section, which was too troublesome.

She wanted to see if the space could be intelligently processed.

"Alright, my daughter's all grown up now, she even has secrets from her mother."

Yunniang sighed, and Han Luoxue hugged her arm and rubbed against her:

Even with secrets, she's still your daughter, your sweet little darling.

"You little brat."

Yunniang affectionately tapped Han Luoxue's nose and went to help in the kitchen.

Han Luoxue woke up in the middle of the night and saw that everyone in her family was sleeping soundly. She secretly got up and tiptoed out.

Afraid of waking her family, Han Luoxue deliberately walked lightly, and even when closing the door, she didn't close it completely. Little did she know that the moment she stood up, Yunniang also opened her eyes.

By the moonlight, Han Luoxue walked to the backyard and looked at the pile of bamboo that had just been moved there that day. Her expression tightened, and she silently muttered, "Put it away!"

The bamboo in the courtyard had long since disappeared, but a pile of bamboo had appeared in her space. Her head was spinning, and her brain throbbed with pain. Han Luoxue squatted on the ground, closing her eyes to calm herself for a while.

Once she felt less dizzy, she looked into the space, thinking about making the bamboo into the shape of a bamboo tube.

Sure enough, the space began processing the bamboo, but her head spun even more. It seemed she needed to be more careful when operating the space in the future. It wouldn't be fun if she overdid it and passed out.

Now that it's late at night, she can lie down and work on it slowly, which is much faster than polishing it bit by bit with a cleaver, right? With that in mind, Han Luoxue turned around and went back to sleep.

Yunniang, who had run back to her room first, was already in a state of utter shock. Was this really her daughter? When did her daughter become so capable?

Thinking back to when they first moved here, on that day, Han Luoxue gave her, Yuan Ge, and their youngest daughter water. It was then that she noticed the water tasted unusually sweet, and she immediately sensed something was wrong. Later, both her youngest daughter and Yuan Ge's legs improved, which even Dr. Xu found incredible.

Was it really luck? She never believed in luck; rather than luck, she should believe it was her daughter's doing.

As for the food at home, the meager grain given to them by the village head and villagers was simply not enough to last them this long, given their eating habits. And the daughter's claim of finding an old ginseng root was even more absurd.

Their village, Hutouya, has always been close to the Wuling Mountains. They don't recognize all the medicinal herbs in the village, but they do recognize ginseng.
