Chapter 84: A good man never suffers a loss in front of him
The next morning, when Jiang Lan brought the soup to the Marquis' Mansion, she saw two people being stopped at the door.
One is Pei Qian and the other is Gu Jincheng.
Pei Qian was still arguing with Ling Feng, saying that Jiang Shen was his brother-in-law, so why couldn't he go in and visit him?
Gu Jincheng nudged his arm and nodded in the direction of the carriage. Pei Qian also noticed the carriage and straightened his clothes.
After the carriage stopped, Pei Qian was about to go over when Ling Feng stopped him. He wanted to go around to the side, but just as he raised his foot, Ling Feng stopped him with his other hand.
Gu Jincheng bumped his arm again to remind others to come out.

"I have to go in today. Let's see what they can do to me!" Pei Qian was about to rush in when the black-armored guards whipped out their swords. This startled not only Pei Qian but also Gu Jincheng. He pulled Pei Qian aside and whispered, "A wise man never suffers a loss right now. Let's retreat first."
Pei Qian was furious, but he could do nothing about it. After getting into the carriage, Gu Jincheng smiled and advised, "I think you should just stop making such a fuss. The girl doesn't want to bother with you at all."
