Chapter 11 Departure
Yue Qiran, who was standing by, was moved when she heard this and acted as if she wanted to say something but hesitated.
As expected, Sect Master Wen noticed and asked, "Miss, do you have anything to say?"
She stood up hesitantly and asked softly, "What is the connection between the Nanyi Sect and your sect?"
Xi Jing came forward to explain that the Nanyi Sect had once been on good terms with the Yisan Sect and had even borrowed a large sum of money from them. However, after their prosperity, they not only refused to repay the loan but also snatched away the peach orders this year.
"I wonder where the South Wing Gate is?"
Sect Master Wen replied, "Nanyi Gate is located on a mountain peak south of Xujia City. It is considered to be on the edge of Xujia Gate's sphere of influence. Is there anything I can help you with, young lady?"
Yue Qiran bowed and said, "I have an unwelcome request."
"You're welcome, young lady, but you can say whatever you want."
She said, "I am no longer in any danger. Can I go with Master Han?"
Han Yueshan looked over excitedly, jumped up and said, "Of course, of course. Why not? Master, don't you agree?"
Master Wen scolded: "Don't speak unless I ask you!"
He looked at Yue Qiran, and his tone instantly became gentle: "Miss, do you want to leave?"
She nodded and said, "Yes, I'm sorry for bothering you all these days. I really can't repay you enough, so I thought I'd go and see if I could be of help."
Zhao Xue and the others also understood what she meant. Xi Jing said worriedly, "Sister, your body isn't fully recovered yet. Can't you stay a little longer?"
She smiled and shook her head, saying, "I can't stay any longer. I have things to do."
Sect Master Wen thought about it for a moment and agreed directly without asking her what was the matter. This was within her expectations, but what surprised her was that the Yisan Sect was actually preparing to mobilize all its members.
She glanced at Master Han, who could hardly hide his disappointment, and thought that this decision had something to do with her.
Yue Qiran bowed again and went back to her room.
On the day of her departure, she chose a plain grey dress and a cloak to avoid her face bringing trouble to the Yisan Sect. After all, it was just an ordinary small sect, how could it withstand the storm?
The journey was quite fast and they soon arrived at a small town near the South Wing Gate.
Han Yueshan found an inn to stay in, and said, "I know the proprietress of this inn well, so it will cost less money."
Sect Master Wen watched his eldest disciple exchanging glances with the proprietress in gorgeous clothes, sighed helplessly, and slowly walked up the stairs of the inn.
Yue Qiran and the others followed behind. Xi Jing whispered to her, "It's a good thing that Senior Brother is behaving like this. At least it proves that he has given up on Sister."
She smiled and nodded. She had realized in the past few days that everyone in Yisan Sect was a kind person, and it was impossible for Young Master Han to force her. Therefore, whether he gave up or not did not affect her.
That afternoon, Han Yueshan and Zhao Xue went to test the Nanyimen's attitude first. If they could return it, that would be the best. If not, they would think of other ways.
Unexpectedly, the two men came back in the evening covered with wounds.
Han Yueshan's expression was unprecedentedly cold. He said, "The Nanyi Sect actually claimed they had never borrowed any money. We didn't even produce the IOU, and they beat us out. How shameless!"
Even the seemingly elegant Zhao Xue was so angry that he said "shameless" several times.
Xi Jing gritted her teeth as she applied medicine to them, her eyes red as she said, "It's my fault. I shouldn't have been so soft-hearted as to lend them the money. Master, what should we do now?"
