Chapter 26 You are the disciple chosen by Heaven for me
"Master Wen."
Yue Qiran stood in front of Sect Master Wen.
Sect Master Wen flipped through the account book and said gently, "Have you thought it through?"
Her eyes were clear and her expression was firmer. “Yes, but before that, I think I need to explain something.”
"But it's okay."
Yue Qiran looked directly at Sect Master Wen and said word by word, "I have an enemy."
"So what?"
Seeing Master Wen's nonchalant attitude, she was stunned.
The old man, who always acted as if his life was hanging by a thread, smiled and shook his head, saying, "Once you enter my sect, the past is no longer important."
She decided to speak more bluntly: "Master Wen, my enemies are not something that the Yisan Sect can deal with."
"Will you seek revenge then?"
Yue Qiran shook her head and said, "I won't, but if they find out about my existence, they won't let me go."
Master Wen nodded: "That's fine."
She hesitated again and again, but continued, "My enemies are everywhere."
Yue Qiran smiled bitterly as she said this. Few of the top sects in the entire world of immortal cultivation would let her go. If it weren't for this, she wouldn't have chosen to go to the No Man's Land.
Master Wen smiled and comforted him, "It's okay, just don't run around."
Yue Qiran never expected that he would have this attitude, as if this matter was insignificant.
"Girl, do you have any other questions?"
She took a deep breath and said, "Yes, Master Wen, there is a problem with my spiritual veins. Cultivation is difficult for me."
Clan Master Wen was not surprised at all. He stood up and looked outside. "Young lady, life on earth lasts for thousands of years, or only a few decades at the shortest. There is no point in looking back and forth."
"Aren't you surprised?"
"To be honest, I noticed it as early as when you just came here." He turned around and looked at her, his eyes complicated for a moment, but she didn't notice.
Yue Qiran fell silent. What happened was far beyond her expectations.
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why did you accept me as your disciple?"
Master Wen knocked on the window sill and asked, "Young lady, do you believe in fate?"
"If my fate is good, I believe it; if my fate is bad, I don't accept it."
He smiled and nodded: "Me too. Girl, everything has its own will."
Yue Qiran was stunned and looked at him in surprise.
He laughed and said, "I had my fortune told a long time ago, and the fortune teller said that I would only have one disciple in my life."
"It seems that the calculation is not accurate."
Sect Master Wen shook his head. The sound of wind could be heard faintly from the window. "Very accurate. To this day, the Heavenly Dao has never acknowledged Yue Shan and the other two as my disciples."
Yue Qiran looked at him in astonishment. Immortal cultivators had a set of procedures for accepting disciples, and the most important point was to obtain the approval of the Heavenly Dao, but she had never heard of anyone being blocked at this point.
"Young lady, the first time I saw you, I knew you were the disciple chosen by Heaven for me." Master Wen paused and added, "After observing you for some time, I think I can trust in fate."
She remained silent. Sect Master Wen sighed, his expression showing a hint of helplessness. He said, "Miss, I know you're doubting what I'm saying. That's perfectly normal, because I can't figure it out either. Speaking of which, I'm just an ordinary cultivator, yet the Heavenly Dao is paying attention to me and wanting to recruit a disciple. Who would believe me if I told anyone about this?"
Hearing this, Yue Qiran's expression was uncertain. After all, she was once a cultivator in the Golden Core Stage, and her understanding of the Way of Heaven was still much higher than that of Sect Master Wen. If what he said was true, then she seemed to have glimpsed something extraordinary, but it was too unbelievable.
"Girl, can I ask you a few questions?"
She forced herself to collect her thoughts and said, "Of course."
"In a sense, the fact that you and I became master and disciple is due to Heaven's will. If one day Heaven told you to turn your sword against us, would you do it?"
Yue Qiran answered without hesitation: "When I don't want to believe in fate, I don't believe in it."
Sect Master Wen laughed and said, "Then I'm relieved."
"Master Wen, if I become a burden to you in the future..."
He said shockingly, "Nothing. If anything does happen to us, blame Heaven, not yourself. All of this is Heaven's arrangement."
No one noticed that the sky outside darkened at that moment and then quickly returned to normal.
When Yue Qiran thought the matter was settled, he added, "There's just one thing I need to remind you of, young lady."
"You say."
"There must be a reason why Heaven arranged this. If you choose to leave, you might still be able to have the stable life you desire. This may be your last chance."
Yue Qiran was overwhelmed with emotions and said in a complicated mood, "You can think of this. Aren't you afraid that I will destroy your current peace and stability?"
Sect Master Wen fell silent, a wry smile on his face. After a long moment, he replied, "Young lady, I'm a close friend of that fortune teller. He once said that my three unacknowledged disciples wouldn't live long."
She was shocked and said, "What?"
"Girl, you are their only chance. This is probably the reward from heaven. I was selfish before and wanted to take you in as my apprentice, but after thinking about it, I decided that I couldn't ruin the life you wanted for the sake of these three. I never expected that you would come back again."
Yue Qiran suddenly realized that her moral standards were not on the same level as the person before her. In the past, if this happened to Xu Qianjia and his group, she wouldn't even blink an eye if it destroyed not only one person, but even hundreds of people.
"Girl, will you blame me? I could have let you go again. Heaven will not force you to do anything. After all, you and I are not irreplaceable."
Yue Qiran shook his head and knelt down the next second: "Disciple greets Master. From now on, I will do my utmost to protect my three brothers and sisters."
Master Wen helped her up: "No, the first thing you have to do is protect yourself."
She looked at him with some confusion. Wasn't it just for the three of them that he accepted her as his disciple?
"Since I have decided to accept you as my disciple, then in my heart, you are the same as those three."
Yue Qiran was silent, and this time she said sincerely, "Master."
What she didn't know was that after she left, three people jumped out from the innermost part of the study. The one in the lead said excitedly, "Master, you are really good."
The previously serious Master Wen's demeanor also changed. "Hehe, after living for so many years, I have quite a bit of experience in... ahem, no, in persuading people. I might as well tell you now."
He waved his cane and said proudly, "Leave everything to fate. Heaven will make its own arrangements."
Han Yueshan nodded repeatedly: "Yes, I don't think the Heavenly Dao will mind, it's just a small matter."
