Chapter 51 I Really Don’t Want to Leave

Chapter 51 I Really Don’t Want to Leave

The master hurried to the clinic and pushed the door open. He saw Zhao Xue dozing off against the wall, Xi Jing sleeping on the bed, Xu Jia still in a coma, and where were A Zi and Widow Li?

Xi Jing was awakened by the sound of the door opening. She rubbed her eyes and looked over, asking in surprise, "Master?"

"Well, where's your senior sister?"

"Returning to the sect."

The master frowned and asked, "Why did you go back so suddenly?"

She briefly explained the situation and added, "Not long after Senior Sister left, Sister Li remembered that she had something to do and left as well."

Zhao Xue saw that his master's expression was getting worse and worse, so he couldn't help but ask, "Master, what's wrong?"

"Xi Jing, are you sure you saw the face of the senior sister?"

She nodded, hesitated for a moment, and answered uncertainly, "I think so. I only saw her for a moment and felt that she looked a little like Senior Sister. Then Sister Li came over and said that she saw Senior Sister. The more I thought about it, the more I felt the resemblance."

The master was silent for a while and shook his head imperceptibly.

Seeing that her master had stopped talking, Xi Jing called out in confusion, "Master?"

"It's okay, just be safe."

The master casually glanced at the bright sky, then suddenly remembered something and his expression changed: "Ten today?"

Zhao Xue looked at him blankly and said, "Ten what? Oh, you asked about the time. Today is the fourteenth."

Xi Jing retorted, "No, it was the fourteenth yesterday, and today is clearly the fifteenth. Master, what's the matter... Hey, Master, where are you going?"

They looked at their master rushing out and looked at each other in confusion. What was going on?

Not long after, Han Yueshan and his good friend rushed over and asked as soon as they entered the door, "Where are Master and Senior Sister?"

Xi Jing replied uncertainly: "I don't know, should they all go back?"

The friend said, "Leave this to me, you go over first."

"Okay." He turned and left, glancing at Xu Jia before leaving.

The friend understood what he meant and turned to look at them, saying, "Can you still walk now? If you can, please return to the sect quickly. I'm afraid something might happen."

The two people who were already confused became even more confused.

"Yesterday someone came to slander your senior sister, but it turned out he was a demon. This means the demonic cultivator behind them might have targeted your senior sister."

Xi Jing panicked. She didn't know what a monster was, but she knew about demon cultivators.

Zhao Xue knew more than her, and with a nervous look on his face, he helped her out and said, "Second Brother, wait for us!"

At this time, Tao Zi was already cursing the heavens. She never got angry so early in the past, so why was she so impatient this time?

Widow Li stood opposite with a dagger stuck in her shoulder and a pale face. Of course, Tao Zi's condition was much worse than hers.

She said, "The erosion of demonic energy can be fatal. Little A Zi, stop struggling in vain."

Tao Zi was driven mad by the poison. Upon hearing this, she angrily replied, "Fuck you, you evil spirit! Widow Li, what's wrong with you? Why do you have to take my life?"

Widow Li looked at her in astonishment, almost suspecting she had been possessed by someone else. But the next second, Tao Zi returned to normal, standing up straight, another dagger in her hand, and her tone returned to normal, completely different from before: "Sister Li, if you hadn't attacked me, you would have run away by now."

"But Ah Zi, Sister Li doesn't want you to live. What's more, Taoist and demonic cultivators are mortal enemies. There's no way you'll let me go."

Tao Zi looked at her in silence. When the pain in her body eased a little, she tried to control her voice and said gently, "Sister Li, you don't understand me. I don't hate demons."

"oh?"

She smiled and said, "I have always only valued the people around me. Those whom I consider enemies are those who stand on the opposite side of me. Whether they are demon cultivators, Taoist cultivators, or Buddhist cultivators, it doesn't matter."

Widow Li sneered, "I don't believe it. How you treat us, everyone wants to kill us."

Tao Zi maintained a smile on her face: "A demon cultivator who kills people like grass is naturally condemned by everyone. Sister Li, is that you?"

She listened to these words, looked at her coldly, and couldn't help but smile. She said, "Little Ah Zi, your hands are very steady. It's just a pity that the sweat on your face can't be stopped. You are in pain now, right? If so, why bother saying these words to buy time? Sister Li will send you to paradise right now."

She pulled the dagger off her shoulder, ignored the blood, and rushed straight towards Tao Zi.

Tao Zi watched her rushing towards him, but was powerless to dodge, and raised the dagger in his hand silently.

"How dare you!"

An angry roar was heard, and several stones were shot over, forcing Widow Li to retreat.

It was the master coming. Tao Zi relaxed and fell down, his mind a little dazed.

In a daze, she felt someone helping her to a tree and letting her lean against it to rest.

"Old Man Wen, you came so quickly."

Widow Li's voice was sometimes far away and sometimes near. She held the dagger in her hand, and the blood stained the dagger. She also regained some clarity.

The master's voice was very low and deep: "Li Xiuqin, you shouldn't have touched Ah Zi."

Widow Li laughed sweetly, as if they had just met for the first time. "Old Man Wen, I'm doing this for your own good. Little Ah Zi is ruthless and knows about monsters. She's not from an ordinary family at all. Sooner or later, she'll cause you trouble."

The master echoed her words: "More than that, this excuse is far too forced. Even at this point, are you still unwilling to reveal the real reason?"

She put away her smile, a look of astonishment on her face. "Reason? Of course, I can't bear to leave the Yisan Sect, Yueshan and the others. I've been possessed by the devil again. Even if you let me go, you won't allow me to stay here. If I can successfully frame you, maybe I can stay here longer. But I didn't expect that both Xijing and Yueshan trusted this senior sister so much. So... I have no choice but to kill her."

The master could not deny it: "You know very well that I won't believe this."

She looked sad. "What if? Even if there's only a slight possibility, I'll grab it. In my life, the most warmth has come from Yisan Sect, from Yueshan, and Old Man Wen. I really don't want to leave."

The master shook his head. "Li Xiuqin, your mind has been corrupted by evil spirits. In the past, you wouldn't have hurt Xi Jing for your own selfish reasons, you wouldn't have attacked two innocent people, and you certainly wouldn't have attempted to kill Ah Zi."

"Innocent?" Widow Li's expression was filled with resentment. "They were so close to Xu Jia, they probably swallowed my child's flesh. How can they be innocent? My child is truly innocent!"

The master looked at her steadily and said slowly, "This is your guess, not the truth."

"So what! They deserve to die just because they have a good relationship with Xu Jia!"

Tao Zi suddenly spoke up: "Sister Li, did you...did you really have the intention to kill Xi Jing?"
