Chapter 1 Extra Chapter: The Enthronement Ceremony

The coronation ceremony of Vili Russell was the grandest in the history of the State of Seldos.

For three whole days, the sound of cannons was almost constant during the day, and at night, dazzling fireworks would always rise into the sky. Bands played their instruments, and colorful ribbons hung all over the streets.

The people, dressed in their finest attire, relished the legendary experiences of their new monarch. Books even remotely related to his name were quickly sold out in the corner bookstores.

Despite the ministers' advice to do their best to uphold the dignity of the royal family, he made no attempt to conceal his own shady past, nor did he bother to offer Serdos a false fig leaf.

He displayed the demeanor of a "tyrant" from the very beginning of his reign, yet no one dared to voice any objection.

After all, the real tyrant was standing leisurely behind the throne, offering his full support to his monarch.

To Willy's surprise, his actions did not provoke public discontent. Polls showed his approval rating reached an astonishing 90%.

Incidentally, after his image was leaked, the new investigation results have been updated to 99.9%.

That 0.1 percent was probably the bet by Hill and Aiden, who were homeless and living together in the slums.

In addition, another major event occurred within the kingdom.

On the same day as the new king's coronation ceremony, he also announced his marriage.

This should have been a double celebration, and it would have been even better if the recipient wasn't the ancestor of the Seldos royal family.

On that day, three ministers in the hall fainted on the spot.

His Majesty the Holy Son lodged a strong protest, while the Greenwood family, who had always been loyal to the reigning monarch, remained silent, and the scene descended into chaos.

Willie initially just wanted to keep his promise, but seeing this scene made him find it amusing.

"My little feather, what kind of decorations do you think we should have for our wedding?"

Aetheran walked to the throne and handed the black gem in his hand to Vili.

Anyway, they'll get new wedding rings.

Although he was already somewhat wary of this thing, Vili still took the gem and quickly threw it into the system space.

Only then did he turn his head with a smile.

"Have you forgotten that I haven't graduated yet?"

"..."

"To my recollection, I don't recall ever setting a rule for Aetheran Academy that prohibits students from getting married, did I?"

"In my rules, students should do what students are supposed to do."

"You still have six months left, so you need to work hard!"

After offering a half-hearted word of encouragement, Vili jumped off the throne and happily ran towards the palace kitchen.

Effort? Effort in what?

Aetheran looked into the hall and met Adrian's gaze.

At this moment, those golden eyes flashed with an inhumanly cold light, and they did not restrain themselves even though they were being seen.

Faced with such provocation, Aetheran merely chuckled and then turned around to follow her beloved.

Ha, what a callow brat.

At the same time, Adrian also snorted coldly.

An old relic with one foot in the grave.

Beside him, Renn squatted on the ground without any regard for his image, his whole body looking as dark as if he had sprouted mushrooms.

"What are we going to do? Vili is getting married..."

After failing to trap Adrian in a sack and instead ending up fighting with him, Renn suddenly changed his impression of His Holiness the Holy Son, feeling that he seemed to be of higher character than his twin brother. It could be considered a case of becoming friends after a fight.

Therefore, the two would occasionally exchange a few words, and of course, the topic was always about Willy.

Ryan made no comment on this.

While that fool Renn was oblivious, he, as an observer, saw it all clearly. His Holiness the Holy Son was no good person; his words were impeccable, yet he was subtly trying to extract information about Vili's past from Renn.

Fortunately, Renn didn't know much more than outsiders.

If Adrian allies with him, he'll likely face many more misfortunes.

Hearing Raine's wails, Adrian spoke up.

“Atheran is so much older than Vili, he’ll definitely die young too, no need to worry.”

It must be said that His Holiness the Son, as the future Pope, has long served the duty of listening to the prayers of believers and comforting them. His voice naturally carries an inexplicable charm, being calm and gentle, and his words are unconsciously convincing.

Renn even showed a look of sudden realization.

"That makes sense."

As he spoke, he stood up, turned his head to look at the person next to him, and seemed to be deep in thought.

"Speaking of which, you're a few years older than me, so you probably died young too."

Adrian: ?

"Greenwood is probably the same, Ryan..."

“Although we are the same age, he spends all day reading books and doesn’t get much exercise, so he will definitely not live as long as me.”

"Ha, wait until you're all dead..."

Ryan was already lost in his own wonderful fantasy.

Adrian began to doubt himself, wondering if it was really necessary to consider this guy as one of his rivals.

However, he was unaware that he actually had far more rivals than he imagined.

Alexander had retrieved his sword and was patrolling to ensure order and security during the coronation ceremony, but he became visibly restless after the new king left.

"Captain, are you alright?"

One of the patrol knights, seeing this, asked a question.

But as soon as he finished speaking, his teammate next to him elbowed him hard in the chest.
