Just then, the sound disappeared once again.
Vili glanced at Yukimura Masashi again, and slightly curled the corners of his mouth.
It seems that this strange sound is indeed like this, coming in waves.
It's not because the snow village is here that it disappeared...
He thought for a moment, then grabbed Yukimura Masashi by the collar, tiptoed slightly, and whispered in his ear:
"I suspect there are perverts in this place."
"……What?"
As he moved, Yukimura Masashi froze, his heartbeat growing clearer in the silence. But the moment he heard Willy's words, he stood frozen in place.
A few seconds passed before his blood seemed to flow again. His first reaction was to look at Vili in a panic, sizing him up from head to toe:
"Are you alright? Did that person... hurt you?"
"I was clearly standing guard outside the whole time, and I didn't see anyone approach."
"you……"
He spoke more than ever before, but seeing him like this calmed Vili down and even laughed.
"It's not that serious."
"But I can't really explain this either."
He stroked his chin: "You have more experience than me, can you sense whether there are any supernatural beings in this place?"
Upon hearing this, Masashi Yukimura finally calmed down and stopped asking questions. Instead, he quickly scanned his surroundings.
Finally, he shook his head, looking dejected.
"No... I didn't notice."
"Actually, there are special instruments for detecting supernatural phenomena, but those things are quite large, so I didn't bring them this time."
After all, this is not within the scope of Xijianshi's work. Generally, when a strange tale arises, there are professional staff members to take care of these matters.
Willie felt a little better after not hearing that annoying sound for the time being.
"I don't think it's dangerous..."
It's just that I really hate it.
Before he could finish speaking, a loud bang came from a room with lights on not far away.
The two exchanged a quick glance and rushed forward simultaneously.
The sound of their rapid footsteps echoed inside the guesthouse, but the people inside were completely unaware of their arrival.
Vili looked into the room and saw the four young men he had just seen on the stairs earlier that day.
At that moment, a woman with curly blonde hair was straddling another man, her hand gripping his neck tightly, and the loud thud was probably the sound of the man falling to the ground.
Beside them, two other people stood bewildered, wanting to step forward to stop them, but were frightened by the blonde woman's sudden outburst of cries.
"Ryosuke, how could you do this to me?!"
Her voice was shrill, almost a scream.
She seemed oblivious to the man's pained expression and flushed, bruised face beneath her, lost in her own thoughts. Tears fell onto Ryosuke's shirt, blurring into a hazy stain.
When you confessed your love to me, you clearly said you would love me forever!
"But tell me, why is that..."
She sobbed.
"What did I do wrong? I love you so much, no one in this world can compare to my love for you!"
As she spoke, her grip loosened for a moment due to her emotional state, and Ryosuke seized the opportunity to regain his breath, suddenly sat up, and shoved her aside violently!
Caiwei's head hit the low coffee table, but she seemed oblivious, only sobbing as she fell down, curling up into a ball, letting her long hair cover her face.
"Aiwei!"
Tomoya exclaimed in surprise and quickly ran over, half-hugging her upper body and carefully parting her hair with one hand. He finally breathed a sigh of relief after finding no blood.
Then, he glared angrily at Ryosuke, who was still catching his breath: "What are you doing? She's your girlfriend!"
Ryosuke touched his neck and felt a sharp pain. He opened his mouth to speak, but coughed a few times first. Mio silently handed him a glass of water.
He finally felt a little better after drinking it all in one gulp, and let out a cold snort.
"My girlfriend?" Ryosuke's voice was still a little hoarse. "I bet you'd love for her to be your girlfriend, wouldn't you?"
"Or are you two already sleeping together behind my back?"
His gaze shifted downwards and landed on the arm that Tomoya was using to support Ayami's shoulder. Ayami instinctively flinched as if she had been burned.
The next second, Tomoya gritted his teeth and retorted:
"Don't assume everyone else is as despicable as you!"
At this moment, Ayami seemed to have calmed down a bit. She brushed aside her tear-dampened hair, looked up at Ryosuke and Mio standing together, her eyes cold, and said nothing.
Her behavior seemed particularly unusual, and Ryosuke couldn't help but frown and take a step back.
Unexpectedly, Caiwei gave a cold laugh, shifted her gaze to the faded wooden floor, and, lost in thought, spoke slowly and deliberately:
"Judging from everyone's behavior, we're all the same, aren't we?"
"I can hear that strange sound ringing in my ears—"
“The voices of desire and malice directed at each other.”
Ryosuke and Mio froze on the spot. Judging from their reactions, Ayami had guessed correctly. Tomoya, however, just blinked blankly.
"ah?"
Outside the door, Vili pulled back Yukimura Masashi, who was about to step forward to stop their conflict, and listened with great curiosity.
In the long silence, only Tomoya's panicked voice could be heard.
"What are your thoughts?"
"What are you saying, Caiwei?"
Mio was the first to calm down; she glanced at Tomoya:
Didn't you hear anything?
