Chapter 16: A Huge Bowl of Dog Blood

Before he could finish speaking, the person in front of him suddenly knelt down on one knee.

Vili then noticed that he was wearing a suit of armor as white as the first snow, extremely gorgeous, yet not bulky, as if it were an integral part of him.

He held a longsword inlaid with jewels, using it to support his body.

Vili's gaze unconsciously settled on the gem.

It was an emerald gem, similar in color to the man's eyes, as if it contained the purest green of nature, without any impurities.

More importantly, it is filled with magic.

The man, who had bowed his head respectfully, did not notice his gaze and spoke in a deep voice.

"Your Highness Vili, the Queen requests your presence."

Upon hearing his voice, Willy finally looked away and raised an eyebrow.

"queen?"

His words were filled with pure doubt.

"Yes."

The man still didn't look up; his blond hair was slightly disheveled from his earlier movements, leaving only a tuft of hair on Vili's head.

It looks a bit like the golden retriever in the system data...

Vili smirked and rolled his eyes, as if he had some mischievous idea.

He casually put his hands behind his back and walked up to the man. Almost simultaneously, the man's breathing suddenly became heavy.

Vili bent down slightly, and the tall man bowed to him, instantly dispelling his anger.

He gently raised his hand and, as if in a mischievous mood, pressed his hand, which had become cold again due to the failure of the heat magic, onto the man's head and rubbed it in frustration.

The man froze, his voice becoming flustered.

"Your Highness, Your Highness!"

When Vili had ruffled the man's hair so badly that it was unrecognizable, he finally stopped, satisfied, but did not answer the man's previous question.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"I am Alexander Wald, the Knight Commander of the First Knights of Seldos, and I have come to request an audience with you on the orders of the Queen."

Knight Commander...

Vili thought for a moment and tapped the system in his mind.

"Il, does this person have a role in the original work?"

The system yawned, finally it was time for the host to summon it!

It quickly accessed the system data.

"Yes! He is also one of the important male supporting characters in the original work. As a royal knight who grew up with Prince Aiden, he secretly loved Hill but never expressed it. He spent his whole life torn between his duty and love, and in the end, he never married."

Turns out, they're no different from me.

Willie shook his head sympathetically, earning a bewildered look from the golden retriever.

However, he now understood why this person had been following him all along. He was probably being monitored on Aiden's orders, fearing that he might harm his lover, Hill.

If he could put that energy into his career, he would have been king by now.

Why does the Queen want to see me?

Having vented his anger, Willy became much more agreeable. Although he had already decided to go with Alexander, he still asked a question.

“I do not know,” Alexander said honestly, shaking his head.

Vili didn't make things difficult for him.

"Let's go."

As soon as he finished speaking, Alexander did not move. Vili looked at him in confusion and saw that the tip of Alexander's ear was tinged with red.

...He had a bad feeling.

Sure enough, the next second, the man quickly approached and swept Vili up in his arms!

"Excuse me."

The light from the magic circle shone from the dark alley, and the two figures vanished without a trace.

-

Upon arrival, before Vili could even make a move, Alexander immediately put him down and then quickly left.

Despite wearing extremely heavy armor, he didn't even leave a trace.

By the time Willy came to his senses, he could only hear the words left in the air.

"Your subject will take his leave now."

"..."

Vili couldn't figure out who the kidnapped person was.

“Vili”.

A call came from afar, and with that sound, the dimly lit palace was instantly illuminated, revealing the person's face.

She was a well-maintained middle-aged woman, dressed in a magnificent palace robe, sitting regally in the main hall. Surprisingly, she was completely alone, without even a servant.

This must be the queen Alexander was referring to.

Willy looked around at his surroundings and cautiously refrained from approaching.

The atmosphere is so strange. I heard that the Queen loves her only son very much. Could it be that she is going to kill him for that scumbag's happiness?

Considering the insane logic of the NPCs in this world, Vili thought it wasn't impossible.

"Vili, my child, what's wrong? Why don't you come up and see your mother?"

"..."

ah?

Are the relationships between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law in the royal family really that good? They're already treating each other like mother and son even before they're married?

Even a fool would think this plot is completely wrong!

"Il, Il!"

Vili urgently called for backup.

"Host, I've arrived!"

As expected, the system's voice also carried a sense of bewilderment and fear.

"This scene wasn't in the original plot!"

Knowing it wouldn't be of any use, Vili silently swallowed his anger. This was already his familiar; he couldn't get angry, he couldn't get angry...

Oh well, do I really think I can mess things up here?

Even so, Vili secretly drew a magic symbol behind his back, preparing to run away if he couldn't win the fight later.

Then he obediently stepped forward, opened his mouth, and mentally prepared himself.

"...Mother Empress."
