He picked up the folding fan that had fallen to the ground without saying a word.
Masashi Yukimura nodded to the two of them in greeting, then looked at Vili.
"Wei Li, I have something I want to tell you."
Vili blinked, but before he could reply, Kii Kanade stood up first.
He didn't look at Yukimura Masashi, but instead smiled at Vili. Apart from his overly pale lips, he seemed no different from usual.
"Then I'll be going now."
Just as he brushed past Masashi Yukimura, the latter, maintaining his usual indifferent expression, spoke:
"Kii, I'll need to talk to you about something later."
Kii Kanade did not answer, but simply nodded slightly, and then left without looking back.
After he left, the atmosphere froze for a moment, as if even the wind had stopped flowing, until the boy's oblivious words broke the stillness.
"Yas, what do you want to tell me?"
Masashi Yukimura lowered his head to meet Vili's gaze. He was already much taller than Vili, who was currently sitting. After a moment's thought, he knelt down on one knee, looking him in the eye, before finally speaking.
"I wanted to ask you about your plans after graduation."
"Is this also a student council survey?" Willie joked.
In the past, countless times, Yukimura Masashi had spoken to him under the guise of the student council, and had tricked him out of countless benefits.
However, the cold-faced boy shook his head in denial for the first time.
"No."
"This is my personal request."
"Unresolved, I want to know—"
