The servants knelt down in fear, while he stood before the prince, facing the oppressive aura of a high-ranking adult vampire. A trace of blood seeped from his lips, but his back did not bend in the slightest.
He questioned her angrily, but Zephyr remained calm, tapping the side of the chair with his fingertips.
"The reason? Simply because it's unnecessary."
“This operation is to send a message to the other pure-blood families,” Zephyr said calmly. “The Inquisition has dared to challenge the dignity of the vampires, and we need to respond to that.”
He dismissed all the servants, leaving only Deville in the room. When he heard these words, his blood froze, and he knelt down, trembling.
