Chapter 20 "Who are you looking at through me?"

"you--"

Why don't you clean my room?

The butler stood there, stunned. He had just apologized to the master for this, but he never expected it to be brought up again.

At this point, the Duke of Russell also looked over.

The butler's mind raced, and he immediately lowered his head.

“Young Master, I am deeply sorry for this. Since you chose to stay at the dormitory, I thought you would not return home until the end of this semester, so I scheduled the cleaning for then.”

"I hadn't received any notice about the school being closed for the holidays, so I wasn't prepared. That was my mistake."

"What a master!" the system exclaimed in Vili's mind.

"Host, he's secretly complaining to Duke Russell that you're skipping school!"

Sure enough, Duke Russell frowned and looked over when he heard this.

Ryan stood in the corner, silently observing everything. Today, he was once again certain that his brother had truly changed a great deal.

Renn was stunned by Vili's identity.

Vili understood what the system was saying, but he had no interest in putting on a show of fair trial; he just wanted to flip the table.

If he wanted to win the Duke of Russell's favor, he wouldn't have acted that way yesterday.

Just as he was about to speak, he was interrupted by someone.

“Father.” The man stepped forward, nodded to Duke Russell, and then to Vili, “Brother.”

Renn looked over in horror.

He never imagined he would hear that title from Ryan's mouth.

Vili glanced at him, crossed his arms, and stood aside, ready to see what he was going to do.

“In fact, my brother has already obtained permission from the academy not to participate in regular classes.”

"He is currently studying under Professor Eero Greenwood as an all-elemental mage."

"I came home because it's more convenient for me to study, since my brother mostly conducts experiments outside of the academy."

When did you become so familiar with Willy/me?

At this moment, Ryan and Willy's thoughts were in unison.

The Duke of Russell was stunned by the news.

"A...a mage with all attributes?"

He repeated it as if he couldn't believe his ears.

Ryan nodded.

"Ero Greenwood?"

Ryan nodded again.

Just an hour after being discharged from the hospital, the Duke of Russell was sent back to the hospital due to fainting.

"..."

Willie gave Ryan, who was politely smiling, a deep look, snorted, and turned to leave.

What he didn't notice was that Ryan twitched his nose noticeably as he passed by the other person.

-

Willy paid the price for his petty revenge, which is why he was still awake at three in the morning, instead enjoying the breeze on the balcony.

He must have overdone it; he tossed and turned in bed, too hot to sleep, and finally threw off the covers and stormed outside.

By the way, he's still sleeping in the master bedroom of the Russell mansion; after all, the bed here is indeed the biggest, softest, and most luxurious. Every time he lies on his back and sees the magnificent crystal chandelier sparkling on the ceiling, it puts Willy in an incredibly good mood.

Unfortunately, now, even the most dazzling gems cannot soothe the restlessness in his heart.

Ryan appeared at this time.

His room was next to the master bedroom, where there was also a balcony. He stood there, his deep gaze seemingly melting into the night, looking at Willy across the distance.

Willie ignored him and did a pole vault without hesitation, jumping onto the edge of the balcony. Then she closed her eyes, opened her arms, and let the wind mess up her hair.

Like a free bird.

His legs were still swaying slightly, seemingly oblivious to his precarious situation.

"What you're doing is dangerous."

Ryan appeared beside him like a gust of wind, looking up at him.

Willie glanced back at him, a carefree smile on his face, but his words were utterly merciless.

"What does this have to do with you?"

In the quiet night, the world seemed to be divided into separate little spaces, leaving only the two of them.

Ryan chuckled softly. When he stopped putting on that aloof and unapproachable demeanor, he looked no different from Ryan.

He extended a hand to Willy.

"Come down."

He suppressed all his aggression, appearing as devout as if in submission.

Willie tilted his head and looked at him for a while.

Because of what they had done on the bed earlier, his collar was open quite a bit, and a few playful strands of hair brushed against his snow-white skin, making Ryan gasp for breath.

In the end, he didn't choose to take that hand, but instead jumped down on his own.

Unexpectedly, at the same moment, Ryan also stepped forward and opened his arms wide.

—I've got you.

In Willy's stunned eyes, only his own reflection was visible.

The next second, as if Ryan couldn't bear the weight of the person in his arms, he fell backward with him to the ground with a heavy thud.

"Hmm..."

Because of the person beneath him cushioning the fall, it had no effect on Vili at all. He simply rubbed his eyes, still groggy, and looked down at Ryan.

"...Are you sick too?"

Ryan keenly noticed the "also" in his words, but refused to think about the deeper meaning behind it.

He just lay there on the ground, his forearms covering his eyes, his chest heaving as he let out muffled laughter, which grew louder and louder.

"..."

Wei used him for support to slowly get up, but before she could stand up, she was pulled again and fell onto Ryan once more.
