Chapter 207 Tasting

Rainwater still clung to the petals, so heavy they seemed to droop, dripping slowly along the faint veins.

Zephyr looked down and suddenly felt a little thirsty.

As a prince who was familiar with Leisen, he did not live in the guest room, but had his own room, which was fully equipped with a bedroom, a reception room, a bathroom, a kitchen and so on.

There was even a storage room connected to the kitchen, where he kept the red wine he often drank.

Human food is bland and tasteless to vampires, but alcohol is different.

A keen palate can detect complex flavors. When alcohol combines with the blood, it creates a wonderful chemical reaction that amplifies even the most indifferent emotions, producing a unique symphony.

Red wine, in particular, is favored by them because of its color, which is similar to that of blood.

Zephyr wasn't a heavy drinker, only occasionally having a small glass, but at this moment, his dry throat seemed to be screaming, urging him unconsciously to walk towards the storage room.

But as soon as he got to the kitchen, he discovered that someone had already gotten there first.

The small door to the storage room was opened, and the air was filled with the rich aroma of red wine, which was intoxicating just by smelling it.

Her rounded, delicate toes stretched out naturally, dangling slightly in the air, revealing a faint pink hue. Looking up from her exquisite ankles, one sees legs that are dazzlingly white, like a flawless oil painting, yet incredibly vivid.

His thighs were pressed against the dining table, and the view above was hidden by his large white shirt. His wet hair was still dripping water, which meandered into transparent water streaks before disappearing into his snow-white neck.

Upon seeing the person in front of her clearly, Zephyr seemed to catch his breath.

A crisp clinking sound rang out, the sound of a wine bottle colliding with a stemmed glass. The boy seemed completely unaware of his arrival, tilting his head back and downing the red wine in one gulp.

"...Why are you wearing this outfit?"

Although it was just an unremarkable white shirt, Zephyr, regaining his senses, recognized it as his own, judging from the size...

He actually had more questions he wanted to ask, such as—

Was the boy only wearing this one piece of clothing?

But such an image flashed through his mind and turned his thoughts into a jumbled mess.

Even though he wasn't the one drinking, he seemed to be drunk.

Vili was still savoring the taste of his food, and his reply was somewhat nonchalant.

"This is the only piece of clothing I found."

The servant kindly placed it aside; the trousers were too long for him, almost dragging on the ground.

Vili poured himself another glass of wine, held it up to his eyes to observe its vibrant red color, and then looked through it at Zephyr, who was slightly turning his head in front of him.

He suddenly spoke.

Would you like to try some?

Time seemed to slow down, but it also seemed like just his illusion. The silver-haired prince paused for two seconds, then stepped forward.

Their eyes met for the second time.

It's unclear who started it, but the wine glass suddenly fell to the ground, the red liquid staining the white shirt and landing at the man's feet. All that Vili could hear were soft, ambiguous sounds, his lips being licked by a tongue, bringing a tingling shiver.

The cold dining table compensated for the height difference between the two. He didn't need to look up. His thin, pale hand pressed against the man's vulnerable nape, but it didn't arouse any vigilance. It was like sinking into a swamp, where the more he struggled, the deeper he sank.

Zephyr never considered resisting.

The air seemed to be ignited by tiny flames as he finally tasted the red wine he had been craving, a taste that was hundreds of times better than he remembered.

But the thirst that arises from the bottom of one's heart is like a bottomless pit; the more one gets, the more insatiable one becomes.

It was a slightly awkward kiss, but only at the very beginning.

Willy's parted lips were like pressing an invisible button, causing everything to gradually spiral out of control, becoming entangled and inescapable.

The vampire's body temperature was extremely low, but he felt like he was being melted by the person in front of him. Even his waist went limp, and before he knew it, he was lying on the dining table.

Her watery eyes gazed dreamily at the man who had completely blocked her view, like a silent invitation.

Zephyr had already released Vili's lips, letting him breathe softly, and then couldn't resist kissing his delicate neck, slowly moving down his collarbone.

Willy tried to grab onto something for leverage, but the servants were so diligent, having cleaned the table spotlessly, that it seemed as if he would slip if he let his guard down.

Finally, he could only cover his wet eyes with his forearm, his cheeks burning.

But Zephyr was unwilling to let him go. His well-defined knuckles gripped his wrist, and he met Willy's gaze with a gentle yet firm intensity.

A deep voice sounded as he wiped away the tears from the boy's eyes.

"If you want to escape, this is your last chance."

Willie's response was to grab his collar and then bite his cold earlobe in retaliation.

"This is what I wanted to say to you."

"If you want to regret it, do it now."

As if she had removed a mask she had long worn, desire flickered in her usually indifferent eyes. Zephyr slowly tidied her silver hair, which was damp with sweat, and tied it behind her head.

"To say something like that at a time like this..."

"Can I take this as a provocation against a prince?"

He said this, but his movements were very slow, with a gentle, cautious air.

His fingertips brushed against the trembling rose petals, gently parting them to reveal glistening nectar, which he tasted with his lips. He continued:

"I will do well."

“You did a much better job than your unfaithful husband.”
