Actually, creating a separate space directly with magic would be the best option... but Vili was worried that if he displayed such power, the main god might simply abandon this body and run away.
He was far too cowardly.
Even his descent required choosing a vessel... Apart from the very beginning, the power he used afterwards was all Sesting's own. Was he afraid of attracting the attention of the world's consciousness?
It seems that the previous lesson had left a deep impression on Him.
Following the path planned by the system, Vili controlled his speed, always maintaining a distance that was neither too close nor too far from his pursuers, keeping them at arm's length.
In the darkness, his movements were swift and agile, his footsteps incredibly light, like a black cat running under the moonlight, elusive as the wind, yet stopping when the enemy slowed down, licking his furry paws, his tail tip swaying slightly.
Her crimson eyes were clear and bright, reflecting the shimmering moonlight.
So Sestin regained his hope and chased after them again.
His efforts were not in vain. The gunfire continued unabated, and finally, a stray bullet pierced the night, grazing the corner of the vampire boy's cloak and leaving a small, scorching hole.
Willy's movements paused slightly, and in the next second he transformed into a tiny bat, spreading his wings and flying away.
"Sestin," however, perked up. His empty, dark eye sockets locked onto Willy's escape location, deduced the final path, and he quickened his pace.
In a matter of moments, they had left the human town filled with Halloween spirit and entered a deserted birch forest.
Before anyone knew it, the white snowflakes began to fall, probably the first snow of the year. They landed on Vili's pale skin, bringing a moist touch, and melted little by little into transparent water droplets.
This brief respite did not last long; the moment he turned around, another gunshot rang out.
"Do you really have to chase after me on such a holiday?"
The boy turned into black mist, leaving behind a clear, crisp voice with a drawn-out, slightly complaining tone at the end, like a small hook, yet unable to touch the cold-blooded hunter in the slightest.
Sestin remained unmoved, his eyes fixed on the sparse woods, searching for Willy's whereabouts amidst the white expanse.
Click.
The crisp sound of a branch snapping rang out, and "Sester" quickly located the source, mercilessly adding a bullet as an extra blow.
Do you have enough ammunition?
A curious voice came from behind, and the cold light of the blade flashed through the air, but it missed its target.
The Supreme God seemed determined to uphold the image of "Sestin" to the end. Even though he could have confronted him head-on, he rolled awkwardly on the ground, his black robes stained with the dirt of the snow.
Since He is so dedicated, why doesn't He come and do the task himself?
Vili thought to himself, but on the surface he clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"Aren't you the god of their judgment court? Is this all you've got?"
The battle unfolded in the snow, the two figures weaving and entangled among the trees. The snow fell heavier and heavier, swirling into white vortices at incredible speed, blurring their vision.
The magic at his fingertips poured out, just like the previous alley scene. Several birch trees snapped and collapsed with a crash, and "Sester" was sent flying, crashing into the thick tree trunks.
This time, however, he only spat out blood and foam from his mouth before standing up, leaning against a nearby tree, his eyes swirling with black mist.
Willy frowned slightly, his figure disappeared again, only to be forced back out by "Sestin's" bullet in an instant.
After repeated maneuvers, the former's speed gradually decreased, and the intervals between dodges became longer and longer. And what's worse...
Vili looked up at the sky.
The moon is setting in the west, and the sun is about to rise.
"Sestin" clearly noticed this as well; his attacks remained calm and precise, but now carried a stronger sense of determination.
Finally, in yet another confrontation—
The moment the gun was pointed at him, his magic was depleted, and Vili's figure failed to turn into black mist, leaving only a bewildered and trembling look in his eyes.
For the first time since its arrival, "Sestin" moved the corner of its mouth and smiled.
But things did not develop as "he" had predicted.
—Click.
At the same moment, his magazine was completely empty.
Time seemed to freeze at that moment, and the next second came the boy's uncontrollable laughter, which made the snow piled on the birch branches fall down in a flurry.
"Hahahahahahahahaha..."
In the cold, Vili clutched his stomach, his body involuntarily hunching forward, his nose slightly pink, and clear tears welling in the corners of his eyes.
"What...?"
"I thought I was going to die this time."
In the silence of "Sestin", he laughed for a long time before finally straightening up, rubbing his stiff and cold cheeks, and speaking from behind the tree.
"Admit it, you can't kill me."
Feeling the magic power within him returning slightly, he didn't intend to say anything more, but quietly retreated.
"But the next time we meet, I will kill you."
As soon as he finished speaking, his figure disappeared—
Bang!
As the physical entity transformed into the black mist, a blinding beam of light suddenly erupted from the location of "Sestin," even distorting the air itself, and its target was none other than Vili.
"--Host!!"
At that moment, the world seemed to stand still. After the deafening explosion, there was a dizzying ringing in my ears, and the world was a vast expanse of white.
Next came a vibrant orange-red.
Gazing at the sea of fire formed by the trees, after a thoughtless shout, Il lost all words.
It couldn't help but want to activate the program to travel through worlds, but scenes of its interactions with Vili flashed through its memory storage: their first meeting, their initial probing, their doubts, their honesty...
In the end, only two words remained.
trust.
It ultimately did not move.
And Vili did not disappoint it.
Amidst the thick black smoke, and before the incredulous eyes of the supreme god, a perfectly unharmed figure landed gracefully before Him.
As dawn broke and the boy's vampire attire disappeared, he was replaced by a magician's robe, with a star hanging from his wide hat, swaying gently as he spoke.
The sun rose behind him, casting a warm, yellow glow around him, but it was too bright for the god, causing even the dark mist flowing in his eyes to fade.
Having probably exhausted the power he had drawn from the people in the courtroom, Sestin's body gradually returned to its previous state, with the injuries on his upper body reappearing, staining the white snow red.
"The Supreme God".
With a light laugh, Vili called out the name, looked down at the person who had completely collapsed to the ground, and flipped his wrist upward to reveal his spotless palm.
Halloween was over by daybreak.
but--
"Trick or treat?"
