Before Adrian could even plead his case, another voice came from beside him.
"Didn't you hear him? He told you to get lost."
He and Vili looked in the direction of the sound at the same time. The person strode closer, but when their eyes met, he suddenly blushed and froze on the spot.
"Excuse me, who are you?"
Adrian seemed unaffected by his previous rudeness, and politely stood up to block the newcomer's view of Vili.
After their eye contact was interrupted, the boy reverted to his arrogant self, walked to the other side and approached Vili, glancing sideways at Adrian.
Who do you care who I am?
"Villie doesn't want to see you, didn't you hear me?"
Willy's thoughts were disturbed by this sudden event. He propped his head up with his hand and watched the two argue with great interest.
I even wanted some more fruit and melon seeds.
Unexpectedly, the two of them shifted all their attention to him the next second.
"Vili, do you know him?"
"Vili, don't be afraid, I will protect you."
They spoke at the same time and looked at each other simultaneously.
"How could Vili not recognize me! We grew up together!"
"Do you think I would hurt Vili? This is a serious accusation. Why don't we go to the church and ask God for judgment?"
Their argument grew louder, mainly driven by the later-arriving teenagers, while Adrian remained calm throughout. However, his clenched hands suggested that his feelings were not as nonchalant as they appeared.
All eyes turned to them, and Willie, who had been idly tapping his plate to provide background music, stopped what he was doing.
He wanted to watch the excitement, but he didn't want to be the one being watched.
"You guys are too noisy."
He finally spoke, his voice not loud, but it was as if a switch had been flipped, and the argument came to an abrupt halt.
"I'm sorry to have put you in such a difficult position."
Adrian was the first to apologize.
The boy next to him, not expecting to be beaten to it, thought it was despicable and immediately followed suit.
"I'm sorry, please don't be angry. I will never argue with this kind of person again."
He also subtly criticized Adrian in his words.
Before Adrian could speak again, he continued:
“Vili, you may have forgotten, but the other day you saved someone in the garden, and that person was…”
Before he could even finish saying "I," he was interrupted by Vili.
The latter raised an eyebrow: "Are you Ryan?"
Why has your personality changed so much? You've become irritable after just one day apart.
Renn seemed frozen in place, his expression shifting between anger and anxiety, which even stunned Adrian.
He quietly approached Vili and whispered:
"I think he might be mentally unstable. We should stay away from people like him."
Before Vili could reply, Ryan seemed to have made up his mind and gritted his teeth.
"Yes! I'm Ryan!"
Unfortunately, he was mentally prepared, but he didn't expect the other person to be uncooperative.
"—Raine, don't do anything stupid in front of your brother."
Another boy who looked exactly like him walked over, carrying an ordinary-looking box.
He ignored the blushing face of Ryan, pushed past Adrian, stood next to Vili, and handed him the box.
"elder brother."
Only after Vili took it did he continue speaking.
“This is a lunchbox I brought from Russell’s house. I think you’d prefer home-cooked food.”
"After all, the food outside is very dirty, and I don't know if it's safe to eat."
As he said this, his gaze swept over Adrian, whose expression was inscrutable, and he emphasized the word "dirty."
Willy's eyes lit up. When he left Russell's mansion, what he missed most was the food there. He didn't expect such a pleasant surprise.
Thanks.
He put the lunchbox away in a light voice.
I'll save it for lunch.
"you--"
No wonder he saw Ryan dawdling on his way to school today; he was secretly doing this kind of trick!
"I can bring this kind of thing to Vili too!"
You're not the only one living at Russell Mansion!
Ryan ignored him and calmly sat down opposite Willie, but unfortunately the seat next to him was taken by that annoying guy.
So what if Rennes can bring it too?
My brother will only remember the first person who did that.
As a result, Willy became kinder to him and even casually asked him a question.
"How did you get the injury on your face?"
Ryan had a scar on the corner of his mouth, which stood out against his flawless face, especially when he spoke, and it looked painful.
"My brother is..."
Are you concerned about me?
Before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by the oblivious Ryan standing to the side.
"Vili, I'm injured too!"
He tried to bring his face closer, his tone aggrieved.
Why don't you care about me at all?
Vili looked at him and saw a bruise at the corner of his eye, but it did not ruin his appearance; instead, it looked more like a mark of unruliness.
Just then, Adrian, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke up, but he did not interrupt the conversation between the three of them. Instead, he seemed to be talking to himself.
"Rebekah, what brings you here?"
Rebekah!
Before Vili could speak, Il screamed, followed by a series of clattering sounds.
Vili suspected that it had knocked over the water glass on its table.
However, his attention was indeed diverted as a result, and he followed Adrian's gaze.
Sure enough, a slender calico cat walked over. Even by human standards, it was an extremely beautiful cat.
With bright cat-like eyes and naturally occurring black eyeliner that resembles eyelashes, it adds to its cuteness.
Hearing its owner call, it ignored him and instead went straight under the chair to Willy's side.
It rubbed its soft cheek against Willy's calf, causing a ticklish sensation, and held its tail high, as if it were very happy.
Willy was somewhat flattered. He tentatively extended a hand, and Rebecca immediately brought her small, moist, pink nose close and rubbed it haphazardly against his hand.
Vili thought to himself that he finally understood why Il was so excited.
Even he couldn't resist touching the kitten's head with his fingers.
"Good boy/girl."
He called it that with a smile, his eyes brimming with affection.
Although this was an effect he had deliberately wanted to achieve, Adrian had to admit it.
He was even a little jealous.
Not to mention Ryan and Ryan standing to the side; the enemy only sent a pet, yet it completely diverted Vili's attention!
The twins looked at each other and instantly understood each other's feelings.
Put aside our differences and unite against the enemy.
"Brother, Professor Greenwood is teaching our grade today. Would you like to audit the class?"
