Chapter 47 Awarding Ceremony

When they parted, Atheran walked hurriedly, seemingly eager to begin preparing for his "wedding ceremony" with Vili.

Vili wasn't in a hurry at all. The crown on his head was made of some unknown material and was very heavy. He wore it for a while and then put it into his system space.

As he looked down at the ring on his hand, watching it shimmer in the sunlight, he slowly walked toward the banquet hall.

My own storyline is complete, but I wonder how Aiden's preparations are going?

Don't let him down.

"Host! You're confused!"

If the system's cat form were here right now, it would probably be jumping up and down in frustration.

"What do you mean?"

"How could you sell yourself for a single gem! If you want, I... I can buy you plenty from the system shop!"

“I don’t think you understand,” Vili scoffed. “If I don’t give him some incentives, who will handle all these pre-coronation chores for me?”

The central processing unit stopped working and began to emit blue smoke.

"Think about it. Before this, all those noble ministers assumed that Aiden would rightfully ascend the throne. Suddenly, an unknown nobody appeared and climbed over their heads. How could they possibly be willing to accept that?"

"If I were in charge, they would probably either rebel or treat me with sarcasm. Just thinking about it is annoying."

"Although I could turn them all into puppets... wouldn't that mean I'd be the only one handling all the political affairs?"

As if recalling that scene, Willy quickly shook his head, still feeling lingering fear.

"But Atheran is different."

Willie proudly raised his hand, admiring the ring on his hand in the sunlight.

"His name is a guarantee."

"Besides, he's been king for so many years, he's experienced."

"According to the information in your database... I'm using him as a tool, do you understand?"

"After I ascend the throne, I'll have him handle my work every day, and he'll have to thank me."

"Now I finally understand why I allowed him to mark my soul during that time travel..."

"Otherwise, where would you find such a useful tool willingly delivered to your door?"

If he didn't understand his own personality, he would have wondered if he was deliberately seducing Aetheran in the future...

"I'm so smart!"

Vili couldn't help but praise himself.

"Now is the time for a satisfying slap in the face..."

Vili had already reached the entrance of the banquet hall, just one step away from blending into the bustling crowd.

But from the darkness beside him, an iron arm suddenly stretched out, tightly gripping his neck and dragging him into the corner.

Vili could feel the man's solid chest heaving violently, his hot breath spraying onto the top of his head, like an agitated wild beast.

He remained calm, though his tone carried a hint of confusion.

"Alexander, what are you doing?"

The knight commander, whose name was called, remained unmoved, tightly embracing the boy from behind, like a drowning person clinging to a piece of driftwood.

"...Your Highness."

He didn't want Willy to see his expression.

"Duke Russell has already sent people to search for you everywhere."

It seemed their plan was going smoothly. Vili subconsciously wanted to nod, but Alexander mistook it for him trying to escape and pressed his arm down even tighter.

Vili reached out and tugged uncomfortably, which made the Knight Commander realize what was happening and hurriedly gave him some freedom.

"……sorry."

If Vili had turned his head to look at that moment, he would have seen that Alexander's eyes, which were like a green lake in summer, had been tinged with a shadow, revealing only pain and confusion.

Vili began to sense something was wrong. He remained calm, but the magic within him was already gathering momentum.

Alexander had no intention of harming him; it was just that in the quiet night, he couldn't help but want to open up.

During those agonizing days, he wanted to say these words countless times, but he swallowed them back because of the other person's identity. Like swallowing shards of glass, he let those emotions pierce his internal organs, causing them to bleed profusely.

His hands remained firm, but were trembling slightly.

“Your Highness Vili… I cannot stand idly by and watch all this happen. You should not be treated like this.”

“I know that I shouldn’t be saying these things to you in my position… Please forgive my selfishness.”

A drop of water fell on Willy's hair; it was Alexander's tear.

"Actually, I have already fallen in love with you."

“During the days and nights when His Highness Aiden ordered me to monitor you, I was moved by you.”

"I'm not saying this in the hope of getting a response from you, I just want to tell you..."

“The honors, loyalty and faith of the past, Alexander Wald will abandon them all today and dedicate my life to your feet.”

He released Vili and knelt down. He took off the sword he never parted with and presented it to Vili with both hands.

He was requesting an "award ceremony" to demonstrate his resolve to Willy.

Even though he didn't know the boy's true identity at the moment, no one but the two of them would acknowledge such a ritual.

Vili slowly turned around, looked down at the knight who had "willingly fallen into depravity," and sighed softly.

The magic within him subsided, and he stroked the ring on his hand, pondering his next move.

Perhaps due to the tension he had just been experiencing, a trace of magic unconsciously seeped from his fingertips as he pondered, causing a strange reaction as it came into contact with the black and silver gemstone on the ring.

Before he could react, a vortex of spacetime formed rapidly like a storm, and then swept him into it.

Hearing the commotion before him, Alexander looked up abruptly, only to see a black cloak hem and a swirling vortex that was about to disappear.

His pupils dilated, and he pounced like a predator, rushing forward at the last moment to enter another unknown space-time with Vili.

A gentle breeze rustled through the bushes, and the corner where the wall had been was now empty, as if nothing had ever happened.

For Vili, time travel was nothing to be alarmed about, after all, he had even traveled through different worlds.

But he never imagined that this would happen when he was completely unprepared.

So the magic contained within that gem was actually a rare power of spacetime...

Even with his head spinning, he still had the mind to think about this.

The system's voice in his mind began to distort and become blurred. Vili tried to balance his body until the moment when spacetime stabilized.

Now!

Vili bit his tongue to clear his head, then stared at a crack and leaped into the air.

Bang!

The enormous sound reverberated through the sky. Because he had used magic to protect himself beforehand, only the innocent roof was smashed, while Vili himself was completely unharmed.

At this moment, he was sitting on a luxurious and soft bed, facing a king who was slowly waking up.
