"..."
Silence, silence is the Vili of today.
After an unknown amount of time, he finally moved his numb hands and feet and covered his face.
"I really didn't expect it to turn out like this..."
The world consciousness, however, did not blame him; instead, it was quite understanding and said:
"I know, child, it's not your fault."
In fact, even He couldn't bear to look at Him. Why were all the children in His world like this?!
If he could, He wouldn't want to tell Vili these things... it would be too shameful.
"……so."
Vili managed to calm himself down for a moment before speaking in a trembling voice.
"Do I have to stay?"
But this world isn't just about him "dying peacefully in his sleep," because this is a magical world!
Think about his own mentor...
Vili never expected that Ero would also be involved in the destruction of the world—even though the initial purpose was to find him.
So, the professor really likes this student that much?
But he didn't want to become a ghost after he died and still be bothered by these people!
Just then, a soft voice suddenly sounded; it was the system:
“Host… perhaps I have a way.”
After realizing that its firewall had been invaded by the world's consciousness, the system did its best to unblock it and finally caught up with Vili's conversation with the other party.
"What method?"
Vili asked quickly.
"Before we leave, I can use my authority to freeze this world, that is, to stop the flow of time in the entire world."
"In that case... the world won't be destroyed, right?"
The system cautiously opened its mouth.
Vili was surprised that it could actually offer a serious suggestion. While he was pondering it, the World Consciousness spoke first.
"That's a good idea."
He seemed unsure, but his speech became faster and faster.
"If I do this, I can continue to fall into slumber to recover my strength, and I won't have to worry about outsiders taking the opportunity to plunder me again... This method seems to really work!"
"However, Vili, if you have the time, I still hope you can find an opportunity to come back and take a look, to help stabilize the world..."
The world consciousness glanced at him with a guilty look.
Vili nodded.
Compared to having to stay in this world forever, just coming back occasionally to visit, like taking a trip, couldn't be more relaxing!
"Let's do it this way!"
He nodded to the system and urged it on impatiently.
If I don't leave him soon, I'm afraid I'll develop psychological trauma...
"Then I'll start the program to go to the next world!" the system replied, but then remembered something, "By the way, host, if we pause this world, all our current points might be used up..."
Willy waved his hand casually:
"Use it! I'll find you even more in the next world!"
The system's voice immediately became cheerful, with electronic beeping sounds that resembled singing.
"Supporting Role System, ID 888, is at your service."
"Travel program initiating—"
-
"Host, that person is here again."
As soon as the system finished speaking, the man's footsteps stopped at Willy's feet.
He didn't even look up, continuing to weave the grass rings in his hands. His jade-like fingers moved nimbly through the grass, like fluttering butterflies, instantly drawing attention and making it impossible to look away.
Not far away, a child was hiding behind a tree trunk, leaning forward with only his eyes showing, looking at the child longingly.
The owner of the footsteps, however, kept his eyes fixed on Vili, staring intently at his face.
Since Vili didn't speak, he also remained silent, as if enjoying the quiet atmosphere.
Suddenly, a small bird with blue feathers and a red tail descended from the sky and landed lightly on Vili's hand, pecking at the grass ring twice.
Its claws carefully nibbled at Willy's fingers, but without using force. Once it was steady, it looked around, its furry head nodding little by little, before finally settling on the man beside it.
The next second, it flapped its wings and flew to the top of the man's head, leaving a white mark before flying away quickly.
"..."
Willy finally stopped what he was doing, looked at the dark-faced man with a hint of sympathy, and was then caught by the ID above his head.
[Vili's Only Designated Husband]
His initial sympathy vanished instantly, and he said sincerely:
"Well done, Il."
Back when he had just transmigrated to this world, before he even knew what "husband" meant, this man had tricked him into calling him that...
Thinking about this, and seeing the people rushing to the river to clean it up, I suddenly felt refreshed.
In a good mood, his hands moved faster, and soon a delicate grass ring took shape in Vili's hands. He looked around and picked a red flower as an embellishment.
The man quickly rinsed his hair and ran back. His black hair was wet and clung to his face, but he didn't look disheveled. Instead, he looked rather handsome.
Vili, however, acted as if he hadn't seen him, looking around with the grass wreath in his hand.
The child in the distance had a bright look in his eyes. Hesitantly took a step forward, fidgeting and twisting the hem of his clothes.
His steps were unusually slow, almost as slow as a snail's.
Finally, he reached Willy's side.
"Brother...can I have this?"
His eyes were full of eagerness:
"It's so pretty, I want to give it to Lily next door. I hope she'll accept my confession then."
