Chapter 125 Hungry Wolves Sharing Food

After Mu Wanyu fainted, blood flowed freely beneath her. Entering the consciousness space, Mu Wanyu (in ancient times) clutched her trembling body in agony and fear, looking around, unable to escape.

Another consciousness was asleep, seemingly unaware of anything. She rubbed herself, walked barefoot cautiously forward, and nudged Mu Wanyu (the transmigrator) who was sleeping in the corner: "Hey, hey! Wake up!"

But no matter how she called out, there was no response from that consciousness. Dejected, she sat down on the other side to rest. Her unconsciousness temporarily relieved her of the pain, and she finally felt much better.

She sat with her eyes closed, resting quietly. She was extremely tired, and her spirits were not much better.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through her body and continued. She screamed, clutching her head and rolling on the ground in agony. Then, she frantically groped her body with her hands, her long fingernails scratching bloody marks onto her skin.

She felt itchy, burning, and painful all over, and her stomach started to cramp uncontrollably. She didn't know what was happening and screamed frantically.

Mu Wanyu (time travel) had actually woken up when she was called. She had been asleep for a long time, and had not woken up since she fainted after the abortion pill incident. When she woke up again today, she opened her eyes to see Mu Wanyu (ancient time travel) writhing on the ground in agony.

What's going on? She got up and walked over, her expression confused and tinged with worry. Before she even reached Mu Wanyu's side, she saw the woman who had been suffering terribly on the ground slowly disappear, turning into smoke and finally dissipating.

She leaned against the wall, covering her mouth which was agape in surprise, her eyes wide open, the scream from before fading into the dim space.

What on earth happened?! She ran over and stood where Mu Wanyu (in ancient times) was, looking up at the endless sky above, where a sliver of light shone down, like a modern stage light, silent and still.

A bad premonition flashed through her mind, and her face showed a hint of anxiety: "Mu Wanyu! Mu Wanyu!"

But there was no response. Her intuition told her that Mu Wanyu (in ancient times) might never come back. After standing there for a while, she walked back to her original spot, sat down, hugged her knees, and stared at the sky, feeling utterly alone.

In the dark cell, Cheng San stood with his arms crossed, looking at the woman convulsing before him. She was unrecognizable, and the child had likely died in the womb.

The guard carrying the wooden bucket remained unmoved. Cheng San's thin lips parted slightly: "Is it cruel?"

The two guards knelt down on one knee in unison: "Reporting to your Excellency, it was not cruel."

"I think it's cruel, but there's always a reason why someone is pitiful. Remember that principle."

"yes!"

Mu Wanyu's convulsing body slowly went still. Steam still rose from her body, and water droplets dripped from her disheveled hair. Her head was tilted to one side, and the whites of her eyes were eerie. Her bluish-purple lips were stiffly parted, and her head was tilted back in pain. Her bony hands were frighteningly white, gripping the floor tightly, her fingernails filled with filth... Her chest, which had been rising and falling, was now completely still. She had died tragically, taking two lives with her.

A guard stepped forward and examined him carefully: "Sir, he has already passed away."

"Okay. You all go back and continue to keep an eye on Li Li and the others, especially that one from Bei Xiang."

"Yes!" The two guards left, and Cheng San looked at the gruesome corpse and clicked his tongue.

Two quarters of an hour after Di Jingcheng returned, he had just finished bathing when Zheng He'er hurriedly ran over from the backyard and whispered a few words to him.

He sneered, "It's cheap to die like that. Throw them into the animal park and let those wolf cubs have a taste of meat."

Upon hearing this, Zheng He Er shuddered and felt a pang of sorrow. The once glorious Consort Xian had fallen to such a state, not even able to have a complete corpse after death.

Di Jingcheng glared at him with displeasure: "What are you thinking about? Hurry up and go!"

"Your Majesty, this servant is worried about how to explain this to the Grand Secretary and Lord Li."

Di Jingcheng gave him a cold look: "Who knows where the Mu family went? Perhaps they offended someone."

Upon hearing this, Zheng He felt a pang of self-reproach. When had it ever been his place to question the emperor's actions? He immediately turned and took care of the matter himself. When he saw Mu Wanyu's corpse, he forced himself to suppress his nausea.

"Cheng San, wrap it in a cloth and carry it." He jumped behind with disgust, gently covering his mouth and nose with his hand and turning his face away.

Cheng San's lips curled slightly as he teased, "How come even the Grand Eunuch Zheng has never seen such a scene before?"

"What nonsense are you talking about? Hurry up, the Emperor is waiting for my reply!" Zheng He'er pulled a sack from a storage box and threw it over.

"Use this one, hurry up, I'll wait for you at the door!" Zheng He Er said and ran out of the dark cell, finally breathing in some fresh air.

In the dark night, in the animal park, the wolves, who had been sleeping, opened their glowing eyes because of the delicious food, their pupils shining even brighter.

Zheng He didn't dare to look at it even once, but Cheng San seemed to be enjoying it quite a bit.

Azi had another nightmare tonight, but this time it wasn't as painful as the one during the day. She saw a pack of hungry wolves pouncing on a pregnant woman. Although she was terrified and trembling uncontrollably, she recognized the woman's face as Mu Wanyu, the one who had humiliated and abused her in her previous dream. Surprised, she forgot her fear.

The wolves were gnawing on Mu Wanyu's flesh with satiated hunger, while Azi stood dumbfounded to the side, clutching her chest. She looked down at her stomach, letting out a slight sigh of relief, then looked up to find a wolf with bloodthirsty red eyes, greedily devouring her flesh…

Ah Zi screamed in fear, "Ah!"

The wolf in front of her disappeared. She opened her eyes and saw the worried face of her beloved: "Baby, did you have another nightmare?" The man held her and asked gently.
