Azi tilted her head back gracefully, her eyes filled with the smiling man before her.
"What is it?"
"The imperial physician reports that Jingyuan has been poisoned by the Northern Xiang Red Poison. The antidote has not yet been obtained, and his life hangs in the balance." Emperor Jingcheng carefully observed her reaction, afraid that she would be frightened, feel guilty, or upset.
Sure enough, Azi's bright smile instantly turned into worry: "How could this happen? Then... is there any other way?" After all, Di Jingyuan had blocked the poisoned hidden weapon for the two of them, and Azi still felt indebted to him. She just hoped that he would be alright.
Di Jing cupped her small face in his hands and nodded gently: "Baby, don't get excited. The imperial physician said there's a way to cure it. By the way, baby, what do you think of Jing Yuan?"
Azi was puzzled by what Acheng said. Why did Acheng suddenly change the subject? Her eyes were filled with confusion: "Prince Yuan is a gentle person. Although he seems to be very nice to me, I only regard him as a junior, just like Acheng regards him as a younger brother."
"Baby, do you think Jingyuan has a woman he loves?" Di Jingcheng asked cautiously, unsure if Azi knew Jingyuan's feelings clearly, and worried that saying it directly would scare her.
Upon hearing this, Azi opened her mouth slightly, hesitant. Moreover, the intensity and affection in his eyes when he looked at her were exactly the same as the way Acheng looked at her—how could she not notice?
Then he shielded Ah Cheng and her from a poisoned hidden weapon. Although she didn't see him fall down severely injured, she knew he must have been in a lot of pain.
Thinking of all this, Azi's heart softened. He was a very good person (although he could be a bit annoying at times).
