Azi whimpered and stayed in his arms for a while, then instructed the man to bathe and change her clothes, and then asked him to carry her back to bed to rest.
The palace servants had already cleaned the bed. Emperor Jingcheng carefully put away the sheets from last night like a precious treasure, and fiddled with them by himself in the cabinet for a while, which puzzled Azi.
She sat up from the bed and looked over: "What are you doing there? I'm a little scared by myself."
Being far from home and having suffered repeated shocks, including being treated that way by a man last night, Azi now only trusts Di Jingcheng, and she always feels uneasy.
Like now, the man put her on the bed and covered her with a blanket, then sneaked off to the side and did nothing. She always felt very wronged.
When Di Jingcheng heard A Zi's delicate voice and heard her say she was scared, he quickly closed the cabinet and ran back to the bedside: "A Zi, don't be afraid, it's my fault."
He quickly pulled her into a tight embrace, feeling the little girl clinging to him and snuggling deeper into his arms; he felt his heart fill with joy.
"Honey, are you hungry? I've already had them prepare lunch."
After a whole morning of commotion, it really is lunchtime.
Azi shook her head listlessly: "I'm not hungry yet."
"Shall we see the imperial physician?" Di Jingcheng wanted the imperial physician to examine her body, since she had been frightened by that damned woman these past two days.
"All right."
Emperor Jingcheng called out to the outside, and Zheng He'er immediately brought in Imperial Physician Liu: "Your Majesty."
"Your Majesty, this humble subject pays his respects." Imperial Physician Liu entered carrying his medicine chest and bowed respectfully.
Di Jingcheng nodded: "Get up."
He then gently pulled the little girl out of his arms, his eyes full of tenderness: "Azi, shall we have the imperial physician take her pulse?"
Everyone watched as the emperor gently coaxed the girl in his arms, a tenderness they had never seen before. Imperial Physician Li was slightly surprised. Who was this lady?
Azi didn't look up, but she didn't resist either. She let the man take her small hand out, roll up a sleeve to reveal her slender, fair wrist, and then take a piece of fine yellow silk from Zheng He's hand and place it on top of it.
Emperor Jingcheng glanced at Physician Liu and immediately stepped forward to take his pulse.
During the time that Physician Liu was taking the emperor's pulse, he felt that the emperor was watching him closely, and he was under tremendous pressure!
"Your Majesty, His Highness is not seriously injured; he was merely frightened. I have prescribed some medicine for him, and he will be fine after taking it. However, prolonged fright is ultimately not beneficial, and His Highness should not be frightened again." After saying this, Physician Li felt a tightness in his chest.
"Go and prepare the medicine." Upon hearing this, Di Jingcheng felt much more at ease and dismissed Physician Liu with a casual remark.
Is lunch ready?
Zheng He nodded twice: "Your Majesty, lunch is ready."
"We'll have dinner here today." Di Jingcheng gently stroked the girl's hair with one hand and played with her small hand with the other.
Upon hearing this, Zheng He immediately led his men to bring in lunch.
Di Jingcheng looked helplessly at the little bundle in his arms, whose face was buried in his chest and refused to come out. He chuckled and said, "If Azi doesn't come out, I'll go eat by myself."
Having said that, he made a move to get up. Ah Zi quickly grabbed his waist with her small hands: "You dare! I want to eat, I want to eat lots of food."
Azi looked up at the man fiercely, and Di Jingcheng tapped her little nose: "Alright, alright, they're all Azi's."
Azi instantly became energetic, got up from the man's arms and started to dress herself, but she was still not very familiar with the palace attire and racked her brains!
Di Jingcheng stood aside watching her intently examine the clothes, wanting to help but being refused by her.
Finally, it took her the time it takes for an incense stick to burn to put on the clothes. The belt wasn't tied very well, and the neckline was a little crooked. After she finished dressing, she earnestly showed the clothes to Di Jingcheng: "How is it? Can you take a look?"
Di Jingcheng's nerves twitched as he looked at the little girl's happy expression. Ah Zi was so forgetful. She had been crying so much this morning and was still sulking just now, but now she could be so happy. She was such a simple little girl.
Di Jingcheng shook his head with a look of doting affection, and A Zi's face immediately fell. She turned around and started tidying her clothes in front of the mirror.
Di Jingcheng shook his head not because he thought the clothes were bad, but because he felt helpless about her emotional shift and subconsciously showed it.
Seeing that the little girl seemed a bit discouraged, he stepped forward and hugged her from behind. Looking at her youthful and charming face in the mirror, he kissed her soft cheeks a few times: "I was just kidding. Our Azi is the most beautiful girl in the world. This dress is very pretty because it's worn by Azi."
Azi blushed a little at his words. She was naturally very happy that her beloved had praised her beauty. She gently covered his hand with her small hand, and two blushes appeared on her face: "Really? But I think your concubines are also very beautiful."
"My darling is jealous again? I'm so happy, it means my darling loves me very much. But, I have no idea if they are pretty or not, I only know that my darling Azi is the most beautiful."
Azi gave her a coquettish look: "Your mouth is even sweeter than Brother Gemeng's. He's already become so smooth-talking to win over his sweetheart. Don't become like him!"
Di Jingcheng laughed heartily: "Don't worry, Azi, I won't."
Azi felt the atmosphere was too ambiguous, her cheeks were hot, and she felt like she was on fire.
"I'm hungry! Let's go eat!" Azi said, trying to leave the man's embrace. She fanned herself awkwardly with her small hand and let out a soft breath.
Di Jingcheng picked the person up in his arms: "We'll eat here today, no need to go to the dining hall."
Azi was picked up by him and quickly wrapped her arms around his neck: "Okay!"
Zheng He had already ordered his men to prepare lunch in the outer room. Upon seeing the emperor carrying someone out, he immediately led his men to step aside and said, "Greetings, Your Majesty."
"You can go out now," Di Jingcheng casually instructed, then carried the person to the table and began feeding the little girl.
Ah Zi was overjoyed to be fed by the man; her stomach was satisfied, and she was even happier.
The man was also happy to see her cheerful appearance, but he couldn't help but swallow hard as he watched her little mouth open and close.
His gaze shifted downwards, lingering on the curve of the little girl's chest. Recalling the taste from last night, a surge of heat rose within him.
"You should eat more so you can develop healthier." The man thought to himself, his eyes growing even deeper. His large hand on her waist squeezed her waist involuntarily, while his other hand diligently served her food, all of it nutritious.
Azi had no interest in any of that; she only thought the food was delicious, something she had never tasted before.
She originally thought that what she ate in the common people was already delicious, but she didn't expect that the chefs in the palace would make it even more delicious. She has eaten quite a lot of it these past two days!
Di Jingcheng felt the little girl's delicate buttocks moving in his arms, which made him distracted. He barely ate any food and just drooled over her.
The warm bedroom was harmonious and intimate, while the courtyard of Qian Yuan Palace was chilly. Mu Wanyu was bound hand and foot and gagged, and was kneeling on the cold floor tiles under the watchful eyes of two guards.
