Chapter 33 The Return of Prince Yuan

Upon hearing this, Mu Wanyu (ancient) on the ground didn't want to say anything more to her, but simply said stiffly, "No matter what, it's you who caused me to fall to this state. Get out of my body immediately!"

Standing there, Mu Wanyu (the transmigrator) shook her head helplessly: "I already gave you a signal when you broke into the emperor's palace, but you insisted on going to your death. What could I do?"

She shrugged helplessly, pursed her lips, and continued, "Besides, do you think I don't want to go back to my own place? I can't get out, and I can't go back!"

After she finished speaking, she walked to a corner and sat down, her back to Mu Wanyu (from ancient times) sitting on the ground, and said nothing more. What puzzled her (the transmigrator) now was that she had never been able to sense Mu Wanyu's presence in this era before, but ever since she broke into the emperor's palace, she could clearly sense her presence and see what she was doing!

What's going on?!

Suddenly, the two turned to look at each other, as if they had thought of something.

"When did you first sense my presence?" Mu Wanyu (the transmigrator) asked, puzzled.

"I... After I fell into the water, I was trapped here. I could feel my body being controlled by a force. I wanted to get out but couldn't, and I couldn't see what was happening outside. Until that day, I suddenly regained control of my body. I didn't expect so much time to have passed! Also, when I entered the Emperor's palace, I kept hearing your voice. My head was throbbing!" Mu Wanyu (ancient) said angrily.

"I'm sorry, I don't know how I got here," Mu Wanyu (the transmigrator) said apologetically.

Mentioning this, Mu Wanyu (in ancient times) seemed to become agitated again: "Hmph! What's the use of apologizing now! What exactly did you do?"

Mu Wanyu (transmigrated) quickly waved her hand and said with an embarrassed smile, "It's nothing, it's nothing. The most important thing right now is to save our lives! Let's put these trivial matters aside for now, we can't argue anymore!"

Mu Wanyu (ancient time) pouted and glared at her irritably: "Then what do you suggest? I have no idea how you angered the Emperor!"

"Hmm... Is it possible that, in the current situation, Your Highness, you have trespassed into the Emperor's bedchamber and angered him?" Mu Wanyu said cautiously.

Upon hearing this, Mu Wanyu (ancient) felt no remorse whatsoever, but her arrogance was tinged with impatience: "I don't care. Now that we share one body, if something happens to me, you might just be scattered to the winds."

Mu Wanyu (time travel) nodded. She was right: "Then I'll go out and deal with it later. You can rest here."

Mu Wanyu (ancient) asked suspiciously, "You...can you do it? I don't want to die with you." As she spoke, she looked the girl opposite her up and down, who looked exactly like her but had a different personality.

Mu Wanyu pursed her lips (in ancient times). Although she didn't have any good ideas, she wouldn't go out and do something foolish. She was under someone else's roof, so she cried and begged the emperor, especially her beloved, to save her life first.

"I'll do my best." Mu Wanyu (the transmigrator) didn't dare to guarantee 100%, so she sighed and uttered three words.

On the other side, Mu Wanyu (in ancient times) was at a loss for how to react. Her two delicate white hands frantically stroked her long hair, full of anxiety.

The space fell silent for a moment.

The courtyard of Qianyuan Hall was already covered in snow, and the sky was gradually darkening...

Mu Wanyu (transmigrated) slowly opened her eyes. The biting cold hit her, making her tremble uncontrollably. Snowflakes still clung to her long eyelashes.

She stiffly moved her limbs and found that they were completely numb and she had no feeling. She was barely clinging to life.

She felt utterly powerless. She struggled for a while but still couldn't get up. She could only lie there, conserving her strength... But she knew that if no one came to her rescue, she would freeze to death!

The concubines, still kneeling in the courtyard, were shivering despite wearing thick cotton-padded coats. They were being supported by their palace maids to keep their feet upright.

They were covered in a thick layer of snow, but none of them dared to get up. They had lost the spirit they had when they first arrived; they felt they were likely to die there today.

With herself barely able to protect herself, Consort Shu had no interest in caring about others, and Mu Wanyu in the snow was clearly unnoticed.

The palace servants in Qianyuan Hall had already put on warm cotton-padded clothes and were holding umbrellas to block the snowflakes, quietly standing guard on the side.

Mu Wanyu looked around carefully, thinking that this was probably the emperor's palace. All the concubines were kneeling here, so it seemed that she wasn't the only one suffering. That meant her chances of survival were greater! But the emperor wasn't here right now!

She breathed heavily, her limbs bound and stiff, unable to move. Taiyang looked at the two tall guards standing beside her and weakly said, "Guards... Guards, please... please... please... see... the Emperor!"

It took her almost all her strength to say those words.

The guard was highly skilled in martial arts and had excellent hearing. Although her voice was very weak, he could still hear it clearly.

The two looked at Zheng San in the corridor with difficulty. This person was about to freeze to death. After all, he was the daughter of a Grand Secretary. The Emperor should not put him to death.

Zheng San had naturally considered this as well. He glanced at the dying Mu Wanyu, then at the group of palace concubines whose faces were pale and purplish, pursed his lips, and decided to consult his master. He whispered a few words in the ear of a young eunuch, who then nimbly disappeared into the corridor.

Zheng San looked up at the heavy snow falling in the darkening sky. It was getting heavier and heavier. He tightened his cotton coat and continued to keep watch.
