In the middle of the night, Yang Mingyue had drunk too much and went to bed early. Only two palace servants from the imperial palace were guarding the door, as all the people he had brought with him had gone to rest.
Cheng Yi emerged from the Grand Secretary's residence, carrying something on his back. Liu Xinqi, who had secretly investigated the residence at night, saw Mu Wanyu being led away by a masked man in black. He felt a pang of worry; it was strange, what did this woman's comfort have to do with him!
After thinking it over, Liu Xinqi turned to leave.

Liu Xinqi quickly flew after him. Cheng Yi had noticed someone following him long ago, but he didn't care. After all, the Emperor of Dongyang was known for his womanizing ways; what was wrong with him helping him out?
Cheng Yi carried Mu Wanyu to Yang Mingyue's bedside, where Yang Mingyue was sleeping like a log. Cheng Yi placed Mu Wanyu on the inside of Yang Mingyue's bed. Then he stripped Mu Wanyu naked, removing her outer garment, and finally lit aphrodisiac incense in the room.
After doing all this, he picked up the teapot on the table, splashed the tea on the faces of the two people on the bed, and then slipped away.
Cheng Yi stood on the rooftop, watching Liu Xinqi with great interest. Liu Xinqi was sneaking around Yang Mingyue's room, and Cheng Yi couldn't let him ruin it!
He leaped down and landed steadily in the courtyard.
Liu Xinqi turned around, saw the man in black, and looked at him warily: "Who are you!"
