Chapter 98 Warmth

Cheng Er helped Di Jingcheng up and lifted the curtain. Di Jingcheng quickly shook off Cheng Er's hand and ran to the bedside.

Azi was lying in bed, lost in thought, her little face full of melancholy. She would glance out the window every now and then, then at the door. This was how she had been spending her days. Suddenly, Qinghe's voice rang out. She rushed in, carrying medicine, her face full of smiles.

Hearing what Qinghe said, Azi was momentarily incredulous, fearing that Qinghe was only saying it to make her happy. Filled with uncertainty, she still excitedly tried to struggle to her feet.

A mixture of curiosity and delight appeared on her face: "Qinghe? You're not lying to me? Who did you say came?"

Qinghe put down the medicine in her hand and quickly stepped forward to help her up, placing several soft cushions behind her so that she could sit comfortably.

"Your Majesty, the Emperor is back! He's here!" Qinghe was so excited she almost cried.

Azi gripped Qinghe's hand tightly, her eyes fixed on her: "Where is she?"

No sooner had she finished speaking than Di Jingcheng's voice rang out: "Azi!" His hoarse voice was filled with endless longing and deep affection. He appeared at the door and rushed over to hug her tightly, as if he wanted to meld her into his very bones.

Di Jingcheng had shaved his beard, and although he looked a bit disheveled, he was clean-cut. Coupled with his naturally distinguished air, he didn't appear much different from normal. He figured that Azi wouldn't worry too much seeing him like this, and it wouldn't affect her health.

He buried his face in Azi's neck, inhaling her unique fragrance, and felt immense satisfaction. He felt his heart instantly fill up, bulging and bulging, and the feeling of happiness was indescribable.

Di Jingcheng's movements were so swift, showing no sign of his previous weakness. Azi was initially somewhat incredulous, but being held in the man's arms and feeling his body temperature, she realized that the person in front of her was real.

She felt his warm, firm embrace and nuzzled her head against his chest. But mindful of the wound on his back, she only dared to gently clutch his clothes with her small hands.

Qinghe smiled slightly, walked to the stunned Cheng Er's side, tugged at his sleeve, and whispered for him to leave, leaving the two of them alone.

Di Jingcheng murmured softly, gently calling Azi's name, and Azi responded to him. He called her name once, and she answered, both confirming that the other truly existed.

Di Jingcheng didn't feel A Zi hugging him, and felt a little disappointed. He said aggrievedly, "Why aren't you hugging me, baby!"

Azi nudged his chest with her forehead: "You still have a wound on your back!"

Di Jingcheng pursed his lips. Damn wound! He didn't even dare to hold his precious baby anymore! This imperial physician was really useless; he couldn't heal the wound after so many days.

However, he was still very pleased with Azi's concern for him, and felt as sweet as if he had eaten honey.

Azi gently pushed against his chest, and Di Jingcheng gently pushed back, but his arms remained wrapped around him, unwilling to let go for even a moment, his gaze greedily following her slightly pale, beautiful face. Seeing her slightly furrowed brows, he felt extremely distressed.

"Baby, what's wrong? Is your tummy hurting again?" Di Jingcheng gently stroked her flat stomach with one large hand, being extremely careful.

Ah Zi was now sitting up entirely with his support, her lower abdomen aching slightly. She nodded gently, "It does hurt a little. Please feed me my medicine."

Di Jingcheng carefully placed the person on the soft cushion to lean against. The medicine left by Qinghe was at the perfect temperature, and he gently fed it to Azi slowly.

He put down the bowl, bent down and pulled her into his arms, gently stroking the stray hairs on her forehead with tenderness in his eyes: "Baby, does it still hurt?"

Azi nodded gently, tears of grievance welling up in her eyes; she had been incredibly sad these past few days. A small hand gently poked his chest, her voice incredibly soft: "It hurts—"

Di Jingcheng held her tenderly in his arms, lowered his head to kiss her small mouth, and gently coaxed, "Okay, okay, it hurts, it's all my fault, I didn't take good care of Azi. My darling, are you feeling better?"

Emperor Jingcheng asked a question after he had been married to the emperor.

Azi answered him in a cooperative manner.

"Does it still hurt, baby?"

"pain!"

Another passionate kiss: "How about this?"

"That's...much better," Azi said with a big smile, clearly very happy.

Di Jingcheng deepened the kiss: "Is this much better?"

Azi nodded shyly: "That's even better!"

"And now?"

"Oh dear, you're so naughty!" Azi deliberately turned her head to one side, her smile deepening, and her originally pale face became much rosier.

Di Jingcheng chuckled happily, "My Azi is so cute, I'm sure our little baby will be beautiful and adorable too. I'll take good care of my two babies, my big baby and my little baby!"

Azi gave a haughty snort: "Let's see how you do!"

"Alright, alright! Don't worry, Zi. Does your baby still hurt?" Di Jingcheng was worried that she was in pain.

"It's much better now, it doesn't hurt anymore if you're here."

Di Jingcheng nodded, but was still somewhat worried. Because of the wound on his back, he carefully got up to let her examine him. Azi obediently allowed him to examine her body; she had indeed been bleeding a bit these past few days, and he wondered if she had stopped now.

Di Jingcheng saw that there was indeed some redness under her body, and his expression was not very good. Was she just going to endure it like this?

He gently tapped her lips: "Does it really not hurt anymore?"

Azi grabbed his sleeve and shook her head: "I was so emotional when I saw you come, and it really hurt. Now that you're here with me, I'm happy, and I've taken the medicine, so it doesn't hurt anymore."

Di Jingcheng was somewhat skeptical and began to change her clothes. Azi quickly said, "Really, don't worry. I've been like this for the past few days, and Grandpa said it's nothing."
