On her way home, Chen Shuting encountered a gang war.
The sky was overcast today, so Chen Shuting thought about buying some desserts.
She never expected to encounter a gang fight at the alley entrance, which wasn't far from where she lived.
Grabbing his things, he hurried back home, enduring a perilous journey.
She lives in a typical small courtyard, and the surrounding area is quite safe.
I never expected that after living here for more than half a year, gang errand boys would still appear.
Back in the yard, he quickly closed the door and anxiously checked the surrounding area to make sure it was safe.
Fortunately, the walls were surrounded by broken glass, which made it a bit safer.
My cousin also comes over often. Her home isn't far from here, and she runs a small shop.
Chen Shuting gradually learned the Hong Kong accent over the course of a year and recently got a job as a sales clerk at Parkway Company.
The once aloof and arrogant Miss Chen would never have looked down on this kind of job.
I have to bow my head to make a living. I got off work late today and this happened.
Back home, I closed the bedroom door, quickly washed up, grabbed the desserts I'd bought, and started eating slowly this time.
She was happy to be able to sleep in tomorrow, so she picked up the newspaper and started looking for a better job.
Time passed little by little, and it was already eleven o'clock. My eyes were so sleepy that I could barely keep them open.
In her sleep, Chen Shuting heard a "bang".
He muttered to himself, "So noisy," and then went back to sleep, clutching his blanket.
Su Chen, who was in the courtyard, was exhausted. It had been a very dangerous situation, but luckily he ran fast.
It's been very safe here, and Su Chen is now starving.
There was no other way but to find something to eat. After fighting with those people all night, my stomach was so full of acid that I was hoping for some relief.
Thinking it was my own yard, I quickly went to open the gate and go in, only to find that the gate was locked.
He stared at the gate with a puzzled expression, muttering to himself.
Why can't he get into his own yard? Did he forget to leave through the back door?
At this point, he stopped thinking and quickly grabbed the tweezers in his hand to open the door.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened when he lives alone; he sometimes forgets and just opens the door like this.
Once inside, it was dark and the lights weren't on. I felt around and found some desserts on the table.
He picked it up and quickly fed it to his internal organs.
After eating and drinking to their hearts' content, they easily took off their clothes and hastily washed up in the yard.
I went into the bedroom and it smelled nice. I was so tired that I crawled into bed.
He was overcome with drowsiness and didn't notice that there was a woman sleeping in the bed.
Chen Shuting is sleeping soundly because she hasn't stayed up late in the past year.
Neither of them noticed that they were both on the bed, and they slept until noon the next day.
Chen Shuting slowly rubbed her eyes, still sleepy, and felt the breathing of another person in her room.
She jolted awake and sat up abruptly, only to see a man sleeping on her bed.
In an instant, the thought that came to mind was to kick him, and Su Chen was kicked off the bed.
Su Chen was still asleep when he was stepped under the bed.
Completely bewildered, Su Chen woke up in a huff and immediately opened his eyes to see the woman on the bed.
Chen Shuting looked at the man, too frightened to utter a sound.
She looked at the man with a terrified expression, pulling the blanket over herself.
"Who are you, and what are you doing in my bed?"
Su Chen was also completely bewildered. He hadn't gone back to his own home, so how did he end up in someone else's bed?
He quickly sat up, looked around the house, and went outside into the yard before he was sure he had gone to the wrong place.
Looking at Chen Shuting apologetically, he said, "I'm sorry, I went home last night!"
Miss, I absolutely did not offend you. I just went to the wrong house last night. My house is right next door.
The two courtyards have the same layout, so I went to the wrong one.
Chen Shuting was also frightened and quickly told him to leave.
"Okay, you should leave now. I hope this doesn't happen again."
That's how the two met. Su Chen came from the other side, and both of them spoke with a non-standard Hong Kong accent.
They would often meet, intentionally or unintentionally, but each time it was a fleeting encounter, and they never crossed paths again.
One evening, after returning from her night shift, Chen Shuting walked to the alleyway where the fight had taken place.
They were being watched by a group of idle thugs, and sensing someone behind them, they quickly knocked on the door of the neighbor's yard.
She didn't choose to go back to her own home. Su Chen was at home at the time and heard a knock on the door.
He came out looking furious. Look who's been knocking on the door incessantly.
When I saw that it was the girl next door, I also saw a dark figure following behind.
He then grabbed Chen Shuting, saying with a helpless expression, "I told you to come back earlier, look at the time! Hurry up and come in, I'm waiting."
Chen Shuting was desperate and grasped at straws when she heard Su Chen come to her rescue.
He quickly stepped inside, and Su Chen immediately closed the door without paying any attention.
Chen Shuting sat in Su Chen's house with a look of relief, only then noticing that her house had the same layout as Su Chen's.
"Was someone following you just now? You'd better come back sooner; things haven't been peaceful around here lately."
Chen Shuting sat there, still shaken, completely at a loss.
Su Chen could only quickly pour her a cup of hot water; he could tell from her accent that she must be from inland China.
"You came from across the street by yourself, and you live alone, so you should be careful."
"Could I stay here tonight? I'm afraid those people will come back." Chen Shuting didn't dare go back.
She looked at Su Chen with a pleading expression, and he felt a strange sense of security.
Although the two slept together that night, she slept very peacefully.
I haven't felt that way for many nights; I've been on edge ever since I came here.
Su Chen looked at the girl helplessly and had no choice but to give her his bed.
"Okay, you can sleep in my bed first." She looked on helplessly as he took his clothes and headed towards the sofa.
Chen Shuting took the dessert she had bought and shared some with Su Chen.
Su Chen couldn't refuse their hospitality, so he started eating too.
The two did not speak, and the room was silent except for the sound of chewing.
After they finished eating, the two of them slept fully clothed. As night fell, they heard sobbing from the bed.
Su Chen got up with a troubled expression and walked to the bedside to pat Chen Shuting's back.
Chen Shuting felt a sense of comfort and came directly to find that feeling.
Su Chen was pulled onto the bed and spent the whole night being held by a woman.
The sweet fragrance emanating from the woman's clothes caused him endless suffering throughout the night.
The woman's legs were like an octopus, completely enveloping him.
Su Chen thought about waking the woman, but then he remembered how frightened he had been the night before, and now he was too attached to wake her.
