Chapter 79 Another Unknown Creature

After Mo Yucheng and the others returned, some people went to scout the last place first. Once they arrived at the designated place and everything was safe, they waited there.

After replenishing their energy, Mo Yucheng and Mo Chenzhi continued towards the last destination.

They hadn't encountered the people from the Cherry Blossom Country yet, and they hadn't reached the final destination; they were constantly observing their surroundings.

The terrain in the mountains is quite complex, and no one can guarantee what might happen.

They remained vigilant throughout the journey, which was very quiet. There were few living creatures in both places, and the fog obscured the view ahead.

As they approached the last spot where the explosives would be placed, Mo Yucheng and his nephew walked ahead on their own.

Although it was daytime, it was still foggy, and the two of them were very careful.

We haven't found any trace of those people; they must be lying in ambush nearby.

The two of them didn't overlook any source of sound, but after their previous adventure in the cave, they weren't sure if they could really pass through unimpeded this time.

Deep in the misty mountains, with no trees visible on either side, the uncle and nephew continued walking forward through the fog.

When they reached the end of the mist, they saw a cave surrounded by thorns, and the cave entrance was also covered with thorns, which could be seen to have been cut open.

Judging from the broken marks on the thorns, it shouldn't have been long ago.

The uncle and nephew looked at each other but didn't go in to listen to what was happening inside.

It was obvious that no one had been inside the cave, and we had no idea what was going on.

The two kept listening for any sound from inside. It was almost evening, and they had been there for nearly an hour, but there was still no movement.

Mo Yucheng and Mo Chenzhi decided to go in and take a look; sitting and waiting for death was not a solution.

They're only a few days away from blasting the mountain, and if they don't find the last spot, they'll still be in danger.

After checking their equipment, the two decided to go in and see what was going on inside, and whether the people had come out yet.

They had taken precautions, but the stench emanating from their mouths and noses was extremely strong, and they had no idea what was inside.

In order to retrieve the bomb, they went inside with a spirit of self-sacrifice.

I've seen those snake-like creatures before, so the scent emanating from here might not be anything special either.

The cave entrance was quite large, about three meters wide, but it seemed narrow because of the dense thorns outside. The two of them went in one after the other, and the smell inside became stronger and stronger.

Inside the cave, there were also unknown vines growing, clinging to the stone walls, looking like countless tongues staring at them.

The two walked cautiously, looking around carefully, as the cave was very quiet.

Only their footsteps echoed inside. As you slowly walked a few meters closer, you could hear the sound of water dripping.

The two then determined that there was a pool of water inside, which explained the fishy stench they could smell from the outside.

The dark and damp pond never sees sunlight, and all sorts of things washed in by rainwater will ferment and rot over time, emitting a very unpleasant smell.

The two moved forward slowly, not daring to go too fast, and kept looking around.

The cave was only twenty meters from the outside to the inside, and it was so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. The two of them walked for almost ten minutes, their nerves on edge.

The sound of dripping water grew closer, and the beam of their flashlights shone ahead, revealing a deep pool that they estimated to be seven or eight meters wide.

A sliver of light shone down from a corner, making the interior less dark.

Using that sliver of light, the two searched the cave for any trace of explosives.

The cave was very large, filled with vines and leaves washed down by the rain, giving the impression that no one had ever been there.

However, it's still possible to see from outside the cave that people have come here regularly, and we don't know if they've come in or not.

They searched the cave but still couldn't find it. Mo Chenzhi was a little suspicious, wondering if they were using a trick.

The bomb wasn't placed here. Feeling there was nothing in the cave, he unintentionally kicked a pebble under his feet.

The pebble fell to the bottom of the water, and something seemed to appear beneath the surface, causing large waves to rise to the surface.

A huge creature appeared in the water amidst the splashing water. It was much larger than the one they had seen in the cave over there, and it had large scales all over its body.

It looked like fish scales, and had a particularly strong fishy smell. I felt a little dissatisfied as the two of them stared at the thing in the water.

Looking at the two people on the shore, it was very impatient. It had been disturbed many times today, and its patience had been completely worn out.

Seeing the two people opposite him, he went over, thinking he might as well eat them up; he hadn't come up from underwater for a long time.

Without saying a word, it tried to rush towards the two people, but as it was about to charge, something seemed to restrain it.

It got angry and annoyed, looking at the two people and wanting to eat them, but it couldn't.

As it angrily pounded the water, Mo Yucheng saw the bomb on the vines on the shore. They were too close to it to retrieve it.

They remained deadlocked for a very long time, until finally they decided to retrieve their belongings.

The big guy watched them warily. Mo Yucheng had no choice but to try a feint. He went to draw fire while Mo Chenzhi went to detonate the explosives.

But things didn't go as planned. They heard voices coming from the cave entrance. Judging from their tone, they were from the group from the Sakura Kingdom. They couldn't believe that even though they had been so careful, they had still been discovered.

When the group of people from the Sakura Country saw the two soldiers, they knew that they were the ones who had removed all the explosives.

When the enormous creature was spotted in the water, the strangely dressed man looked at it excitedly.
