Mo Chenzhi took the note and sent people to that courtyard. Once there, they searched the courtyard thoroughly and found the burial objects covered in soil.
They don't need Liu Tianheng to tell them where these items are.
Liu Tianheng was disheartened to find that place and his people.
The moment Liu Tianheng learned that the radio in his home had been discovered, his arrogance, which had been growing ever since, was completely shattered.
Knowing that everything in his house had vanished, he had completely given up hope.
I've been busy with the house issue lately. Liu E and Yang Chuhong have both been sentenced and will have to go to the southwest to tap rubber trees for the rest of their lives.
The two families knew there was nothing to say, so they didn't see them off when they left.
Grandma Yang stayed at home with her younger siblings. Since losing his mother, Yang Erge's son has become extremely attached to his younger sister and no longer plays with her.
She spent almost all her time by her sister's side, helping her great-grandmother look after her, which also allowed the elderly woman to take care of some household chores.
He didn't feel envious watching his two older brothers finish playing; he still looked at his younger sister with reluctance.
Grandma Yang sometimes encouraged him to go out and play, but he was determined to stay with his chubby little sister.
Ever since his mother cruelly abandoned them, his father had told him that he should help his great-grandmother take care of his younger sister so that his great-grandmother wouldn't be so tired.
Xiaxia's child is very sensible. Every day, he only goes out to play for a while after his younger sister falls asleep, and when he feels it's almost time, he hurrys home.
My younger sister wakes up within ten minutes of me getting home.
Grandma Yang also teased him, "You child, if you want to play, go out and play. Great-Grandma is watching your little sister. Don't do this again. I love you. If I'm too busy, I'll tell you."
The little guy stubbornly insisted on doing things his own way, and Grandma Yang just went along with it.
Grandma Yang smiled contentedly at the children and then fiddled with the shoe pattern in her hands.
Song Yining and Shen Junjie chatted and laughed all the way, only seeing the three little ones watching their little sister suck her fingers, so focused that they didn't even see them enter the house.
Grandma Yang was a little confused when she saw Song Yining return, and she looked at the man following behind her, wondering what was going on.
Song Yining called out first, "Grandma Yang, my uncle has come to see me."
Grandma Yang was still puzzled, but then she thought about how the Shen family had adopted many orphans, and then she understood.
Shen Junjie quickly got up and invited the person in front of him to sit down, putting down his things as he did so.
"Hello, ma'am. You may not recognize me, but I know you. Brother Zhiming has seen you around me quite often, and it's only today that I get to meet you in person."
Grandma Yang was very touched by the kindness of the child she had taken care of back then, and how he knew that the family was not well-off, so he had been sending money to her in various ways over the years to help her improve her family's life.
After exchanging pleasantries, Shen Junjie stayed in Yang Erge's room again, and they spent the next two days tidying up Song Yining's new courtyard.
We moved there back then, and thankfully two rooms were built so that we would have a place to stay when we came to visit her.
The day before Song Yining's housewarming party, Shen Junjie went up the mountain to hunt three pheasants and two rabbits. He also found a pond in the mountains and caught several large grass carp.
The harvest was quite plentiful. Looking at the prey that Shen Junjie was holding, Song Yining, who was in the new house, was thinking about what to do.
On that day, the team leader's family and the Party Secretary were invited over. The plan was to have one table for the men and another for the women and children, so that everyone could enjoy the meal.
Shen Junjie went to the commune early in the morning to buy five catties of meat, intending to let everyone eat their fill today.
After buying meat at the commune and preparing to return to Yangjia Village, he saw a jeep approaching. As he was about to give way, he saw his friend's face appear inside the jeep window.
Mo Yucheng said to Shen Junjie, "Get in the car, I'm going to Yangjia Village too, to see that girl, and to pick up my things while I'm at it."
He opened the passenger door and got in. The two had been comrades-in-arms for many years, but now they were in different positions.
They rarely had time to be together, and in the car they talked about what had happened recently, learning about his continued absence.
The people in Zhou County were also in a state of panic because of this incident, and they searched for the mastermind behind it all, who was with Liu Tianheng.
Mo Chenzhi and the others were interrogated overnight to find out that the people who helped with the transportation convoy were all from the county transportation team.
They were rewarded by their superiors for helping transport these goods out, but they would be fired if they didn't. They had no choice but to do so.
It was the comrade from the transportation team who slipped up. Knowing that the leader had been currying favor with the GW for years, he only dared to report it after seeing Liu Tianheng arrested.
Everything went smoothly after that, and Mo Chenzhi and his team finished up the work.
Mo Yucheng figured the little girl's house should be finished by now, and the boss was there to help her set up shop. He didn't expect Shen Junjie to show up too.
I thought I was seeing things, but I realized I wasn't when he made way for me, and I felt inexplicably uncomfortable.
Mo Yucheng was unaware of the changes in his own heart; he, who had always been oblivious to matters of the heart, was unaware that he was experiencing the stirrings of first love.
The two stopped the car at Song Yining's house, a settlement for educated youth, carrying their respective purchases. Behind them followed children who were looking at the jeep, touching and manipulating it.
The two carried their things into the house. Song Yining was stunned when she saw Mo Yucheng come in. Mo Yucheng saw the confused girl and couldn't help but pat her hair with amusement.
Song Yining then belatedly realized that this was Mo Yucheng.
Seeing the little girl's bewildered expression, Mo Yucheng chuckled and said, "What's wrong? You don't recognize me after just a few days?"
