Chapter 160 Writing a Letter: The First Batch of Returned Supplies

Meng Weiguang's face stiffened.

Indeed, it's not time to completely break ties with Meng Suqin. He still doesn't know how Meng Fuyan managed to get to the United States!

He would absolutely not give up the assets under Meng Suqin's name easily!

“Alright, I’ll write it. It’s just a letter. I’m willing but unable to do it. He’s just a junior, he shouldn’t make things so difficult for his uncle.”

In the end, Meng Weiguang did write a letter to Xu Aihua. Of course, he wouldn't write about his own cold-bloodedness. Instead, he mentioned many of his difficulties, expressed his willingness but inability to help, and finally, he even confessed that he would have no complaints even if Xu Aihua didn't acknowledge him as her uncle in the future.

Having received the letter, Meng Suqin and Meng Fuyan left without lingering.

Meng Weiguang wanted to keep Meng Suqin to discuss business matters, but Meng Suqin didn't want to talk to him for the time being, so she left with her daughter.

After leaving the Meng family home, the mother and daughter sat in the car on their way home. Meng Fuyan asked Meng Suqin, "Mom, should we contact Uncle Xu Zhenyi next? He shouldn't just abandon his own brother, right?"

Xu Zhenyi is Xu Aihua's younger brother, the one who went abroad to study and never returned to China.

In fact, Xu Aihua is Meng Suqin's cousin, and Meng Fuyan should call him uncle. However, because Xu Aihua has temporarily severed ties with the Meng family, she has always called him uncle in Changning City, and it has become a habit.

Meng Suqin pondered for a moment and said, "We definitely need to tell him, but he's a researcher and a scholar. I don't think he has any way to help, so we'll have to take action ourselves."

Thinking of this person, Meng Fuyan felt a little worried because she had never met him in her previous life, and even when Meng Weiguang and others returned to China to invest, they didn't mention him much.

She even asked him specifically, and the Meng family told her that he had died in an accident, but now, Xu Zhenyi is still alive.

She didn't know what danger Xu Zhenyi had encountered in his previous life, nor when he died, nor whether his death was accidental or murdered by the Meng or Su families.

Since he was still alive, she had to find a way to save him.

"Uncle Xu is a scholar and a talented person. If he were to return to China, he would be of great help to the country. However, I am not sure whether his return would be a help or a disaster for Uncle Xu Aihua."

Meng Suqin sighed; she wasn't sure either.

"When Tingzhi comes back, ask him."

Meng Fuyan nodded, "Mm!"

The matter concerning the Meng family has been temporarily resolved, and Meng Suqin's health is gradually recovering so she can return to work.

Although both families wanted to cooperate with her, she was no longer the sickly, easily controlled person she used to be. Now, with Chen Ying and a group of others around, the Meng and Su families could only watch helplessly.

Gu Tingzhi, however, became increasingly busy.

Inland, southern border.

Gu Tingzhi personally escorted a group of people to Hong Kong to meet with Xu Jing. Then, Xu Jing arranged for someone to bring the people back to the mainland.

The mainland liaison had already made arrangements. Xu Jing made contact with them, handed the person over, and went straight back to Hong Kong without saying another word.

The team leader immediately led his people away without hesitation.

An hour later, at the foot of the mountain along another road, the team leader arrived at the agreed location, and Gu Tingzhi appeared as soon as he arrived.

The two sides exchanged secret signals and confirmed their identities.

“I’ve checked, this place is safe,” Gu Tingzhi said.

His voice changed, his appearance was disguised, and he even covered his face. Standing in the shadows, the team leader couldn't see his figure or appearance at all.

Gu Tingzhi was very decisive and said directly, "The stuff is in that valley over there, and there's quite a lot of it!"

After saying that, he left. It was a dark night, and although the moonlight was not bright, as a soldier, his eyesight was excellent. However, the team leader stared for a while and then disappeared, as if he had never been there.

If his superiors hadn't given him the task of meeting a comrade here and saying he needed to bring some supplies, he would have doubted whether the person he just met was even real.

They always obeyed the orders of the organization, so he climbed up the mountain alone, looked into the valley, and was immediately stunned!

Later, he brought his men over as quickly as possible, and when they saw what was in the valley, they were all stunned!

"My God! What are all these?"

"Tanks? Those are tanks? Where did these tanks come from in this deep mountain forest? Are they war relics?"

"Scraps shouldn't be found here, right? And no one has noticed them before?"

As everyone was talking, suddenly someone screamed, "Wow! An airplane! I saw an airplane!"

With a loud slap, the team leader struck him on the head. "What are you yelling about? You think you're so loud? Hurry up, make the most of the time, and take everything back before it gets dark, quietly!"

There were two roads in the valley. The operation was planned in advance. Everyone rushed over immediately, some to stand guard, some to move goods. They even brought military vehicles.

We drove over thirty cars, but it seemed like that wasn't enough.

This valley is quite large. It was a place that Gu Tingzhi had arranged with his superiors long ago. Now it has been cleared in advance, with large thorns and bushes removed, making it relatively easy for people to move around inside. Moreover, a cave has been dug here. However, his superiors clearly underestimated Gu Tingzhi's abilities. The cave is indeed well hidden, but it is a bit small.

So Gu Tingzhi simply threw him into the valley.

He figured he might as well use the space; there was so much lacking in China, so he wasn't too picky and just took whatever he came across. As a result, the valley was a bit cluttered with all sorts of things at that time.
