The siblings seemed to be in good spirits, but the others were different; most of them looked listless, as if they hadn't quite settled down after getting off the bus.
The vehicles from each brigade to pick up the educated youth had arrived, and the brigade leader of Banqiao Brigade personally drove a tractor to pick them up.
Banqiao Brigade is very large and relatively densely populated. The villages are relatively wealthy, and the brigade now has tractors. Many other brigades used to just send people to be picked up by oxcarts!
The educated youth heading to Banqiao Brigade gathered together. The brigade leader said, "Wait a little longer. There's another bus that's not coming yet, and there are several of our brigade's educated youth on that bus."
At this point, the brigade leader sounded somewhat helpless. Life in their brigade was better, so the higher-ups especially liked to send educated youth over. These educated youth couldn't do anything, and they often ran home, causing trouble all day long. They were a real nuisance.
He doesn't want any of them.
These guys were all from out of town, far from home, so they couldn't go home often. But they didn't look like they knew how to work. Except for Gu Tingzhi, whom he knew, the rest were all skinny. There was even a little kid among them. The captain's face darkened a shade.
Upon seeing Gu Tingzhi, the captain was also puzzled. "Tingzhi, why are you back? Visiting relatives?"
Gu Tingzhi replied, "My job has been transferred to the county, and I will be working in the county town from now on."
The captain was taken aback. "You've become a professional?"
Gu Tingzhi nodded, "I guess so!"
The captain was silent for a moment, then sighed.
He knew that Gu Tingzhi was very capable in the army, an officer, and his biological father's family was particularly powerful. Logically, he should have continued to develop in the army, so there was no reason for him to be transferred to civilian work so quickly, especially to be assigned to their small county town.
A child without a mother is like a blade of grass!
well……
"It's good that you're back. This is where you grew up. Everyone here knows you. Work hard from now on, and things will get better."
Gu Tingzhi nodded, "Mm!"
He glanced at Meng Fuyan beside him and said to the captain, "Uncle, this is the younger sister of one of my comrades. She's new here, so please take care of her for me. If anything happens to her, please let me know immediately."
