Chapter 128 She really hates flies

"Bang."

Lin Xiaoxiao didn't use her full strength in that kick, but Chen Hong's small frame couldn't withstand it. She was sent flying by Lin Xiaoxiao's kick.

"Bang." The sound of a body hitting the ground rang out, and the surrounding air was eerily quiet.

A crowd of onlookers had already gathered along the side.

Hearing Chen Hong scream in pain.

Lin Xiaoxiao said coldly, "Sometimes the old folks have a point. Talk less and do more."

"Don't just spout nonsense with nothing but your mouth."

Lin Xiaoxiao wasn't in a hurry to leave. She looked around the educated youth compound and said, "I've always adhered to the principle of 'I won't offend others unless they offend me.' If we can get along well, I will never make things difficult for them."

"But if anyone continues to act like a jerk in front of me, like today, and I'm ready to fight you, I won't say another word."

"I'll let it slide since it's your first time, but next time, it won't be so easy."

Lin Xiaoxiao glanced at Chen Hong, then turned and left.

Chen Hong felt a sharp pain in her stomach and buttocks, and broke out in a cold sweat. Looking at Lin Xiaoxiao's back, she felt a sense of fear.

She never expected that Lin Xiaoxiao would actually attack someone directly.

The people in the courtyard looked at each other.

Some people think Lin Xiaoxiao went too far, while others think she should have done it.

Lin Xiaoxiao didn't care at all what other people thought.

She just hoped that this time, nothing stupid would buzz around in front of her; she really hated flies.

Back home, Lin Xiaoxiao carried the package in both hands and went straight to Han Qiushi's room.

She gently handed the package to Han Qiushi, her tone filled with anticipation and curiosity: "This was sent from your home."

"Is it for you or for me?"

Han Qiushi was sitting by the window reading a book, the sunlight shining on the pages and casting a warm yellow halo around him.

Upon hearing Lin Xiaoxiao's voice, he looked up, carefully inserted the bookmark into the pages of the book, and then slowly stood up.

He walked towards Lin Xiaoxiao, his eyes filled with a tenderness that seemed to envelop her.

A warm smile, like a spring breeze, appeared on his lips, and his voice was as gentle as a whisper in your ear: "Open them, these are all things I had them sent to you."

Lin Xiaoxiao looked up at Han Qiushi. His gaze was gentle as water, as if it could drown a person.

Her expression faltered slightly for a moment, then she smiled and said, "Then I won't be polite."

After saying that, she happily began to unpack the package.

Lin Xiaoxiao took the contents of the package out to look at them.

Good heavens!

Inside were: a can of malted milk powder, two cans of fruit, a box of chocolates, a pound of brown sugar, a pound of red dates, mung bean cakes, peach crisps, ten pounds of rice, two cans of meat, and even a set of clothes, shoes, and face cream.

You can tell from the fabric of the clothes that it's a very good material just by touching it.

Lin Xiaoxiao couldn't help but say, "This is way too much..."

"Also, how did your family know my shoe size and clothing size?" Lin Xiaoxiao asked Han Qiushi.

"Compared to the life-saving grace you gave me, it's nothing at all."

"Besides, you're too thin, you should eat more."

"I talked to my family about it, and I roughly estimated whether they fit. Take a look and see if they fit. If they don't, I'll have my family get you a new pair," Han Qiushi said, gesturing to Lin Xiaoxiao as he looked at the shoes.

Upon hearing this, Lin Xiaoxiao tried on the shoes and said, "They fit perfectly. You're very perceptive."

Lin Xiaoxiao and Han Qiushi sat facing each other. During their conversation, Lin Xiaoxiao told Han Qiushi about what she had mentioned to Fang Hui that morning: "I heard it from the police officers who came to handle the case last time."

"The people in the back mountain have been caught, which means that the operation that day was quite successful."

Han Qiushi nodded, then lowered his eyes and pondered for a moment.

After a long silence, he said softly, "I feel much better today than before."

"I think I'll go to the county town tomorrow."

He knew the journey from the village to the county town was long, and his body had not yet fully recovered, but there were some things he had to do.

Lin Xiaoxiao understood immediately; she knew that Han Qiushi must have had something important to do in the county town.

"So you're planning to walk there?"

Han Qiushi: "Yes, I walked from the back of the mountain, and after arriving in the town, I took a bus to the county seat."

Lin Xiaoxiao nodded and then said, "I can ride my bicycle to Cuishan tomorrow and leave it there."

"You can just go there to get the bike and ride it, so you won't have to walk. After all, you have a gunshot wound, so it's not advisable for you to walk for so long."

A hint of surprise and emotion flashed in Han Qiushi's eyes. He looked at Lin Xiaoxiao, the corners of his mouth unconsciously turning up, and he gladly accepted the proposal.

"Okay, you've thought of everything."

The next morning, the two had breakfast together.

Lin Xiaoxiao then went to work carrying a basket on her back.

As usual, Han Qiushi first took care of all the household chores.

After confirming that no one was around, he walked steadily into the mountains.

The mountain path meandered, flanked by lush trees. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating dappled patterns of light. Han Qiushi traversed the forest, his steps slightly heavy.

About ten minutes later, he walked out of the village and immediately saw Lin Xiaoxiao's bicycle on the hilltop.

After taking the car out, I got on the bicycle, pedaled hard, and headed towards the county town.
