Flames raged wildly against the roof beams, crackling and popping loudly from time to time, which was terrifying. But a shrill scream suddenly erupted from inside the house, making everyone even more panicked.
"ah......"
Lin Xiaoxiao stopped abruptly, glancing uncertainly at Bai Hehua: "Is someone inside the factory?"
Bai Hehua also looked incredulous. "It seems like someone is there."
"Didn't they say they all went to eat?! How come there are still people inside?" Lin Xiaoxiao's heart jumped into her throat. It's one thing for the food to burn, but if there were people inside, the situation would be very different.
Lin Xiaoxiao didn't care about anything else. She told Bai Hehua to go check on the comrades who were injured while fighting the fire, and then rushed to Han Qiushi's side to fight the fire together.
As soon as Lin Xiaoxiao arrived, her teammates who were fighting the fire in other positions came over one by one. They were focused and quickly passed the water buckets around, each handover was exceptionally efficient.
While she was getting water, she noticed that many people's clothes and hands were burned red by the fire, and their skin was wrinkled.
"Everyone back off!" Han Qiushi suddenly shouted, and everyone who heard him did so quickly moved to the sides.
Just as they stepped aside, they saw the factory's load-bearing beam finally give way and collapse, instantly raising a cloud of dust and flying sparks.
Seeing this, Han Qiushi rushed in without hesitation, and Lin Xiaoxiao followed behind him without thinking.
"What are you doing in here? Get out now, I'll go in." Han Qiushi said to Lin Xiaoxiao, then added to the person behind him, "No one is allowed to come in now!"
After shouting, Han Qiushi was about to push Lin Xiaoxiao out when Lin Xiaoxiao suddenly appeared out of nowhere and put on a piece of clothing, covering her entire head. She then threw another piece of clothing to Han Qiushi.
"Put them on first, we'll talk about the rest later." After giving them the items, Lin Xiaoxiao took out two upgraded fire extinguishers from her space, one for herself and one for Han Qiushi.
Lin Xiaoxiao took the fire extinguisher and demonstrated it to Han Qiushi: "Let's spray that place together." As she spoke, the two of them took the fire extinguishers and sprayed them in the direction they wanted to go.
While fire extinguishers are not as effective as water trucks at putting out fires, they at least clear a path in front of you. This was the first time Han Qiushi had ever seen something so convenient, and the fire extinguisher alone broadened his understanding of fire safety.
Even the clothes he was wearing surprised him. Before he put on the clothes, he felt the fire burning while fighting the fire, but now that he was in the fire and wearing the clothes, he only felt warm and not hot at all.
What exactly are these things? How were they made? Could they be foreign high technology? But he dismissed the thought as soon as it crossed his mind.
The country is backward now, but that doesn't mean they know nothing. If it were something from abroad, they couldn't possibly be completely unaware of it. How could Lin Xiaoxiao have such advanced stuff? Where did she get it from?
Han Qiushi turned his head and glanced at Lin Xiaoxiao. He saw her frowning and focusing on putting out the fire. Instantly, he cleared his mind of all distractions. Lin Xiaoxiao trusted him, which was why she only took out these things in front of him.
This person is his wife, and he trusts her completely. He believes everything she says, and all he has to do is protect his wife and the secrets Lin Xiaoxiao doesn't want others to know.
After thinking all this through, Han Qiushi became even more proactive in standing in front of Lin Xiaoxiao to put out the fire. Amidst the sparks, in a corner, a section resembling an iron bucket was revealed.
Without hesitation, Lin Xiaoxiao put on the night vision goggles. After putting them on, Lin Xiaoxiao could clearly see the two red characters "Special Supply" on the iron bucket.
The two characters were gradually melting and deforming due to the high temperature.
A bad feeling welled up in Lin Xiaoxiao's heart. She made a gesture to Han Qiushi and immediately turned around to put out the fire in the direction of the iron barrel.
Fortunately, the two people came in in time. The person trapped inside had already fainted, but the situation was not optimistic. He had burns of varying degrees on his face and feet.
The only saving grace is that he was still breathing; if it had been any later, the situation would have been unimaginable.
Human life is of utmost importance, so Han Qiushi sent the person out first, planning to come back in to find Lin Xiaoxiao later.
Just as they were about to leave, Lin Xiaoxiao suddenly darted out, quickly put away her protective suit and Han Qiushi's protective suit, and then escorted them out together.
It took about twenty minutes to bring the fire under control.
The fire was brought under control, but some things that shouldn't have been inside were still burned away.
None of Han Qiushi and the others went home. They stayed at the military base all night to handle the aftermath. Lin Xiaoxiao first wrote down all the orders that needed to be delivered urgently.
If the quantity is small, she will continue to source goods and rush to produce them in the capital. If the quantity is large, she will need to go back to Wangji Village, partly to gather the goods and partly to ensure better delivery. After all, she is not at ease if there are so many things and no one comes with her.
Han Qiushi and his father went to the home of the military leader that night to discuss the sudden events that had occurred.
Bai Hehua and Han Qiulin went to the military hospital to take care of their wounded comrades.
Around midnight, a group of people from the army arrived. They were investigators specially summoned by the division commander. It was snowing lightly when they arrived, on their way here.
Han Qiushi, looking haggard, squatted in the snow beside the factory. He only got up when he saw Lin Xiaoxiao coming over with breakfast.
