Chapter 362 Feeling Unwell

She didn't go anywhere else, but instead went to a secluded alley. She planned to get some vegetables from her spatial storage. For some reason, after seeing Boss Wu's underlings carrying beef and other food items in and out, she felt a little hungry.

Feeling hungry, she wanted to go home and cook something. She took out a lot of things from her space, including beef, chicken, ribs, and some vegetables and fruits, filling a cloth bag to the brim.

After arriving home by bus, I thought about how energetic Lin Xiaoxiao must be, and how she had been so busy all day. I felt a little tired and sat on the sofa to rest for half an hour. But I didn't want to move at all.

Seeing this, Bai Hehua told her to rest well and went to cook.

Bai Hehua looked at the ingredients, picked out a few, and stir-fried a plate of beef, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and spicy and sour chicken giblets. After it was done, Lin Xiaoxiao smelled the aroma and her mouth watered. She ate two bowls of white rice.

After having dinner with Bai Hehua's father, Han originally intended to wash the dishes, but after eating, he didn't want to move. "Mom, I feel a little tired today. I'm going to lie down in my room for a while."

Hearing Lin Xiaoxiao's weak voice, Bai Hehua looked at her with concern. Seeing that she looked well, she felt relieved and thought that she was probably too overworked and stressed during this period, which made her feel uncomfortable now: "Go ahead, you can sleep a little longer, there's no need to rush to get up."

"If you feel unwell, please tell us immediately. If you are still tired, we will go to the hospital to get checked out."

As Lin Xiaoxiao spoke, she took a sip of the spiritual spring water and felt slightly better, but she was still tired.

She immediately went into the room, tidied up the quilt that Han Qiushi had folded neatly on the bed, changed into her pajamas, and fell asleep quickly as soon as her head hit the pillow.

I slept straight through to 3 p.m. and woke up feeling refreshed.

I must be really tired. At noon, seeing how exhausted I was, I even wondered if I was pregnant. But then I remembered that I always used protection when I played cards with Han Qiushi, so it's probably not that likely.

Lin Xiaoxiao didn't not want children, but she was too busy during this time and it wasn't the best time to have one. Now that her health had returned to normal, she thought it was probably just a cold or something.

When I woke up, there were only white lotus flowers in the house. Seeing that Lin Xiaoxiao looked better than at noon, I smiled and said, "There's a lot going on at the factory, but you still need to take a break."

"It's better to delegate many things to others than to do everything yourself."

Lin Xiaoxiao nodded: "I've already handed over what they can do to them. Once the factory is ready and we open for business, I'll let go of everything and just focus on design."

Bai Hehua went to the kitchen and brought out a bowl of soup. "This is a prescription for nourishing the body given by an old doctor I used to know. Drinking this will be good for your health."

Lin Xiaoxiao took it and smelled the scent of ginseng: "Mom, did you get some ginseng?"

"I'm still so young, I don't need to eat this. You can keep this good stuff for yourselves."

Bai Hehua said, "Don't worry, I made more than just this bowl. When they come back, they'll get their share too." After saying that, Bai Hehua made herself a bowl and sat down in the dining room with Lin Xiaoxiao.

The two chatted over drinks, talking about the factory and recruitment.

Ginseng is inherently nourishing, and this soup was made with spring water. After finishing this bowl, Lin Xiaoxiao felt like she could now perform three sets of military boxing.

With her energy restored, Lin Xiaoxiao decided to continue cooking since she had nothing else to do. She had meat for lunch and planned to have fish for dinner. Carrying the fish she had taken out of her spatial storage, which was quite heavy and weighed about three pounds, she carried it to the sink and skillfully killed it with a knife.

She cut the fish into several pieces, cleaned it, and prepared to braise the fish meat with scallions, ginger, garlic, and a little soy sauce. She would use the head and tail to make fish head soup.

Lin Xiaoxiao was preparing the fish, and Bai Hehua was helping out on the side, preparing the ingredients and stewing it on the coal stove. After heating the oil in the pot, she fried the fish head and tail until they were golden brown on both sides. Then she added ginger and some cooking wine to the pot for seasoning. After it became fragrant, she immediately added cold water and waited for it to boil before simmering it.

Once the fish head was ready, Lin Xiaoxiao used the large pot at home to braise the fish meat.

Once the fish was cooked, the fish soup on the coal stove was almost ready too. Lifting the lid, she saw that the fish soup had turned milky white. Lin Xiaoxiao chopped some cilantro and put it in to remove some of the fishy smell.

After the fish soup was ready, Lin Xiaoxiao poured out two bowls, and she and Bai Hehua each tried one bowl first.

After a long time, Bai Hehua couldn't help but exclaim when she tasted Lin Xiaoxiao's cooking again: "This soup is so delicious, I can't stop drinking it once I start."

Bai Hehua's fondness for this daughter-in-law kept growing. She was capable, intelligent, and even her cooking skills were much better than hers. The children born to such an outstanding girl would definitely be extraordinary.

At first, Bai Hehua was really looking forward to Han Qiushi and Lin Xiaoxiao having a child, and she would mention it a few times when chatting, but lately she hasn't mentioned it at all.

With so many things happening and both of them so busy, bringing this up during this special time only adds to the burden and pressure on the child and the family. As long as the child is healthy, we will definitely have a grandchild.

They had just finished their fish soup when Han Qiushi and Han Qiulin returned.

Han Qiushi heard from Bai Hehua that Lin Xiaoxiao was not feeling well, so he quickly arranged things at the army base and returned home ahead of schedule. He knew his wife's health best; she was much stronger than most people.

Feeling unwell right now is no small matter. I originally planned to pack up and take Lin Xiaoxiao to the hospital for a check-up, but when I went into the kitchen and saw that Lin Xiaoxiao looked energetic, my worries eased a little.

Han Qiushi was still worried and moved closer to Lin Xiaoxiao, touching her forehead. "Are you still feeling unwell? If you are, just rest at home for the next couple of days. The factory is under construction, so it won't make a difference if you stay home for a couple of days."

Lin Xiaoxiao took Han Qiushi's wrist off her hand: "I was fine after a nap. I guess it was just that my body was low on energy. I just need to recharge it."

"Don't you know? I have everything here. If there's a real problem, my stuff is more effective than doctors in the hospital."

Seeing that Lin Xiaoxiao didn't have a fever and looked well, Han Qiushi felt completely relieved.
