Lin Xiaoxiao stepped forward, intending to see what was inside. As soon as she opened the box, she smelled a very faint and elegant sandalwood scent.
Once the box was fully opened, a colorful porcelain vase lay quietly on a soft cushion. The vase was quite long, and its body was decorated with exquisite flower and bird patterns. The birds on it were very lifelike, with each feather clearly defined, and the petals on them looked almost real.
It was clearly an antique, but even after so many years, the colors were still vibrant and eye-catching. Even though Lin Xiaoxiao didn't know much about antiques, she knew that this bottle must be a very good item, and quite valuable.
Han Qiushi opened the box next to them, and the two of them gasped in surprise. Inside, they found several wrapped bronze artifacts, including a small ding (a type of ancient Chinese cooking vessel) and two other large bronze vessels. The vessels were very grand in design, and mysterious runes were engraved on them, showing the solemnity and weight of these bronzes.
Both of them frowned and opened another box. This box was full of paintings and calligraphy. Lin Xiaoxiao reached out and gently opened one of the paintings inside, which turned out to be a painting from the Ming Dynasty.
It was only after Han Qiushi's introduction that I learned that this was the Ming Dynasty painting "Spring Morning in the Han Palace". Although the edges of the scroll were somewhat damaged, with some repairs, it would surely amaze those who love calligraphy and painting in later generations.
Han Qiushi looked at these things, his fists clenching tighter and tighter.
Eighteen boxes in total! Eighteen boxes of treasures!! These are all national treasures. The thought that if they hadn't discovered them, they would have soon fallen into the hands of outsiders made both of them look terrible.
"That bastard Liu Hai, breaking one of his legs was too lenient," Lin Xiaoxiao said through gritted teeth in a low voice.
Han Qiushi: "What did you say?"
Lin Xiaoxiao shook her head: "It's nothing. I just wanted to say that I'll put these things away first."
Han Qiushi: "Okay." After saying that, he took a step back, giving Lin Xiaoxiao room to maneuver.
When Han Qiushi first heard Lin Xiaoxiao say that she could take the things away, he found it unbelievable. But when he actually saw all eighteen boxes of things disappear in an instant, he was still deeply shocked.
Even he himself couldn't help but marvel at how lucky he was to have found such a wonderful wife. Her disappearance and reappearance had shattered his understanding of the world.

"Xiaoxiao, I need to go back and deal with these things right now. I need to investigate Liu Hai and Wanli and hold a meeting. I probably won't be able to rest tonight. If you can't hold on, sleep in the car for a while and I'll wake you up."
"Okay." Lin Xiaoxiao nodded in agreement. After several hours of this, she was really tired. She slept the whole way on the way to the army base in Han Qiushi's car.
Once they arrived at the military base, Han Qiushi summoned Ren Jianguo and the others, and dragged all the men who had been on the boat to the base's interrogation room.
Lin Xiaoxiao went to make a phone call. Bai Hehua and the others must be worried about them, since they had rushed out in the middle of the night.
Just as Lin Xiaoxiao had expected, Bai Hehua and Han's father hadn't rested and were waiting for news from the two of them. She didn't say much on the phone, just let them know they were safe and then hung up.
Not long after Han Qiushi and the others entered the interrogation room, Lin Xiaoxiao saw cars driving in from outside while Han Qiushi was in the lounge. The lights in the conference room stayed on all night.
When the two returned home, it was just dawn. Bai Hehua, who had been on tenterhooks all night, was relieved to see that they had returned unharmed. She quickly went to the kitchen to bring out the porridge she had cooked for them before going back to her room to rest.
The two, who had been busy all night, got a fairly comfortable sleep at home.
When Lin Xiaoxiao got up and was eating, she learned that Han Qiushi had already gone to work in the army.
Bai Hehua sat at the dining table with Lin Xiaoxiao, and couldn't help but say to Lin Xiaoxiao, "Old Han just called and said that you two did a good job yesterday and that you will be commended soon."
Lin Xiaoxiao smiled upon hearing this, without much reaction. Although it was a bit like Versailles, she really wanted to say that she had received such praise several times before, so it was nothing special.
However, it's always nice to receive recognition. "After working so hard for so long, we finally have some good news."
