Chapter 453 The way they eat is too ugly

Han Qiulin dressed himself up neatly and went to the hospital with unusual joy. He had promised to take care of Li Qiutang, and tonight was the perfect opportunity to cultivate their relationship. He couldn't miss such a good chance.

Han Qiulin barely slept that night, his attention was entirely focused on Li Qiutang, and he was sent back to rest by Li Qiutang in the morning.

The men in the Han family either went to work or got divorced, leaving only Bai Hehua and Lin Xiaoxiao at home.

Such a big thing happened yesterday, it couldn't be kept secret. Aunt Li from next door brought some fruit to visit Lin Xiaoxiao. The two families have always had a good relationship. The group was chatting in the house, and they never expected that Han Qiulin would bring back an uninvited guest.

Bai Hehua heard someone calling her from the courtyard, so she went out of the house. To her surprise, she saw the Li family mother and daughter who had been at the police station the night before. She couldn't help but frown slightly.

Li's mother stood very reservedly by the city gate, while Li Jiabao was quite different. His eyes were constantly darting around, looking this way and that, with a hint of envy in them. When Bai Hehua came out, he even had a fawning smile on his face.

The two men really wanted to go inside the big house, but they were wary of the Han family's status and held back.

"Oh my, you must be Han Qiulin's mother? I saw you from afar yesterday and thought you looked young, but I didn't expect you to look like a young girl up close. You look so much younger than me, even though we're about the same age." Li's mother greeted her with a smile. She was very polite in front of certain people.

Bai Hehua glanced at them and nodded politely: "Hello, what brings you here?"

Li Jiabao quickly smiled and said, "Hello, Auntie. We are so sorry for coming here without prior notice."

This morning, the two of them went to the hospital to see Li Qiutang early in the morning. It wasn't that they loved Li Qiutang that much, but rather that Li Qiutang was now their lucky charm. As long as they took good care of her and kept her happy, they could easily get the money later.

Unexpectedly, upon arriving at the hospital, they discovered an even bigger surprise: in Li Qiutang's ward, they found that one of the tall men from the previous day had clearly shown interest in their daughter when he looked at her.

This child is clearly a prodigy. If our family were to become in-laws with such a family because of Li Qiutang, wouldn't our family rise to prominence as a result?

Later, they learned that their daughters had been saved by the Han family's twins and eldest daughter-in-law. They then came up with an idea: if they could get money from the Xia family, could they also get some thanks from the Han family? After all, Li Qiutang had risked her life to save people, and the Han family definitely needed to show their appreciation.

That's what Li's mother thought, but she hesitated because she knew the Han family was not someone to be trifled with. However, after Li Jiabao's analysis, she was really impressed and thought about how she could have a better life in the future, so she gritted her teeth and came.

At this moment, Lin Xiaoxiao and Aunt Li also came out. When they saw the mother and daughter, and saw the fawning smiles on their faces, they had a thought: these two must have come with ill intentions.

I thought they would only throw tantrums and resort to shrewish behavior, but they actually managed to get into this compound today. It seems I really underestimated them the last few times.

"Excuse me, we're just about to head out, so we won't invite you in. Can we talk at the door?" Bai Hehua was polite, but she would never invite anyone inside.

We saw clearly what kind of people these two are yesterday. It's best to resolve things quickly, lest things get ugly and put Li Qiutang in a difficult position.

"Well, fine... fine then. We're not here for anything. Your family is so big and busy every day. If we weren't in trouble, we wouldn't have come here." Li's mother stated her purpose directly. Li Qiutang had saved someone else's wife and child, so he was a savior. She was definitely going to try to get as much benefit as possible from this.

However, the white lotus is not to be trifled with.

"Well, your Qiutang is a good girl. She risked her life to save my daughter-in-law. We are very grateful. We have already prepared a thank-you gift. We plan to give it to Qiutang when she recovers. Don't worry, the Han family is not one to forget kindness."

“Little sister, there’s no need to wait until Qiutang is fully recovered. I’m her mother, and the person next to her is her younger sister. We’re the closest of family. You can give us the thank-you gift you prepared. To be honest, we’ve spent a lot of money trying to help Qiutang recover, and then she couldn’t go to work, so her salary dropped a lot, and we were almost starving.” Li’s mother was never one to care about saving face, and seeing Bai Hehua say this, she immediately seized the opportunity.

"You can rest assured about what you said. We will take full responsibility for all of Qiu Tang's hospital expenses and her recovery. If Qiu Tang's salary is deducted, we will make it up to her."

"As for the thank-you gift, we will prepare it for whoever contributed the effort. This is also a way to show respect to our benefactors." Bai Hehua quickly passed the buck back to the person who asked for the gift.

Knowing full well who the other person was, and yet making such an unreasonable request to their face, Bai Hehua would truly be a fool not to refuse.

Li's mother: "..." What to do? Isn't it said that families like this are easy to talk to? If they have money and power, they can easily give them a little something, which is enough for them to live comfortably.

But after getting to know them, it felt different from what I had imagined. After chatting for a while, I realized that I couldn't get any advantage from them.

Seeing that her mother was speechless, Li Jiabao immediately said to Bai Hehua, "Auntie, you may have misunderstood something. We didn't mean to take my sister's things. It would be right for you to give them to her directly, but my sister's injury is directly affecting the family's survival, so we had no choice but to come."
