A group of guests left, and the two little ones woke up. Now we're getting ready to change their diapers together.
Mr. Han was in a good mood these past two days and stayed at home. He stood to the side, smiling as he watched the two little ones have their diapers changed, looking very comfortable.
That's how kids are; they get hungry soon after pooping, lie in bed and start whimpering, smacking their lips—they're looking for food.
Aunt smiled and carried the younger sister in first, and after Bai Hehua took care of the older brother, she also carried him into the room.
Lin Xiaoxiao fed both the brother and sister until they were full.
No wonder she ate so much during her pregnancy; she still ate just as much after giving birth. Lin Xiaoxiao had already fed them once around 6 a.m. and then went to sleep. She slept until almost 10 a.m. and then fed them again.
Lin Xiaoxiao calculated that it takes at least 10 times a day, sometimes more.
My older brother, in particular, is quite fierce when he eats.
It felt like only a short time had passed, but the two little ones' appetites had increased considerably compared to the beginning. She had calculated that before, they would eat for about three to five minutes at a time, but now they would eat for at least five minutes.
After eating, the two siblings kept their eyes open, looking here and there, and often staring at each other as if they were communicating silently. Lin Xiaoxiao found it both funny and exasperating, but after only about half an hour, the little ones fell asleep again.
This is already a very well-behaved baby, and it's quite easy to take care of them, at least they don't cry all the time.
These past few days, Lin Xiaoxiao has only been feeding the baby, eating, and occasionally reading. In her spare time, she takes out her camera to take pictures of the two siblings.
In the first few days, Lin Xiaoxiao had a hard time feeding her baby because the food wasn't very oily. If she had taken a lot of supplements in the first ten days or so, it would have affected the discharge of lochia, which is very important for her health.
Whether it's a C-section or a vaginal delivery, the baby is born in a very weak state. It's not suitable to nourish the body when it's weak. If you start eating a lot of meat and fish as soon as you start your postpartum period, you'll easily feel uncomfortable, which is not good.
After about ten days of lochia discharge, it should be almost completely cleared up, and then you can start nourishing your body.
The chickens that Bai Hehua raised were killed one a day, sometimes two, and everyone ate them together.
While feeding two children at the same time, Lin Xiaoxiao had a very good appetite and easily finished a whole chicken.
The main problem is that after eating, the body didn't absorb much of the food; it was almost all digested by the brother and sister as food.
However, this stuff ended up in Lin Xiaoxiao's mouth. With plenty of meat and fish every day, her complexion became even better.
She stayed in the room all day, only responsible for breastfeeding the baby, and spent the rest of her time eating, sleeping, and reading.
Lin Xiaoxiao didn't need to do any of the childcare herself. Bai Hehua and her aunt took care of almost everything, from bathing the baby to changing diapers. All she had to do was feed the baby.
The two little ones eat and sleep well, and it feels like they've gained a lot of weight in no time, making them even cuter.
The elders grew to love him more and more; he was simply their dream grandson.
Lin Xiaoxiao has been lying in bed for over ten days. Everyone says you can't take a bath during postpartum confinement, so she can only wipe herself down with hot water. But in this hot weather, how can just wiping herself down be enough? She still feels very uncomfortable.
After putting the two little ones to sleep, Lin Xiaoxiao kept pestering Han Qiushi to take a bath and wash his hair.
Han Qiushi disagreed. She knew Lin Xiaoxiao was a germaphobe and how uncomfortable it would be not to shower in this weather. However, health was still more important.
"I will take a hot shower and dry myself off immediately. It should be fine if it happens just once."
"No, wife, everyone says you can't touch water during postpartum confinement, or you'll catch a cold. Let's just bear with it a little longer and wipe your body down tonight?" Han Qiushi still wouldn't allow Lin Xiaoxiao to take a bath.
I'm afraid my wife will develop health problems from all the washing and cleaning.
"Fine, I won't wash then. Anyway, it's you who'll be smelling bad, not me." Lin Xiaoxiao said angrily, then turned over and ignored Han Qiushi.
Han Qiushi stood there, quite distressed.
I offered her a few words of comfort before leaving.
After dinner, Han Qiushi asked his aunt and uncle to take the children and go boil a pot of water. After the water was ready, he fiddled around in the bathroom for a while before going into the room.
When Lin Xiaoxiao saw that it was Han Qiushi who came in, she ignored him and pretended to be engrossed in reading her book.
"Honey, you can take a bath now." Han Qiushi said with amusement when he saw Lin Xiaoxiao's appearance.
"Just wipe your body, don't use the word 'take a bath'."
"It's a real bath. I've prepared the water and everything else. There's enough water for you to wash your hair, but I'll help you with that."
"Really? You're not lying?"
Han Qiushi went to the bedside and pulled Lin Xiaoxiao up, then went to the closet to find a change of clothes, and answered seriously, "Really, it's just taking a shower."
It turned out that when Han Qiushi saw that Lin Xiaoxiao was unhappy, he went to his aunt and Bai Hehua to ask if she could take a bath during her postpartum period. Both of them said she couldn't. Han Qiushi had no choice but to think of a way to coax his wife that night.
Just as she was about to fall asleep, someone came to hand her a pillow. It turned out that Aunt Li, the neighbor next door, had found out and told Han Qiushi that she could take a bath during her postpartum period, but she had to find some Chinese medicinal herbs to put in the bath with her, which was more like a medicinal bath than a regular bath.
Without saying a word, Han Qiushi took the prescription and went outside to buy medicine. After finishing his meal, he brewed a large pot of medicinal soup.
