Chapter 117 A Goose Egg Seeding Egg

Following the direction he pointed, Jiang Wenwan saw a girl in her early twenties, who was indeed a few years older than her.

Her jet-black hair was braided into a large plait and combed down her back. She was wearing a green Lenin suit.

He looked a bit taller than him, with slightly rosy skin and clear, bright eyes.

I saw them greet me with a smile before they even spoke.

"You must be Battalion Commander Zhou and his wife, right?"

Hello, I am Instructor Lü's wife, surnamed Song.

Jiang Wenwan also greeted her with a smile.

"Hello, sister-in-law. My surname is Jiang. I'm new here and there's a lot I don't understand. I'll have to trouble you in the future!"

Song Dandan nodded with a hearty laugh.

"Old Lu already told me that if you don't understand anything, just ask me. You've just arrived, so start by tidying up the yard."

We'll talk again tomorrow morning when the men go to training.

By the way, if you don't have rice or flour to cook tonight, come to my house and take some with you.

You can also get food from the cafeteria and bring it back.

Jiang Wenwan smiled and thanked her for her thoughtfulness.

"Thank you, sister-in-law."

"No need to thank us. We'll go back first. You can pack up. If you need anything, just come and borrow it from us. It's easy to borrow again if you repay it.

"Alright, you guys pack up, we'll head back now."

After finishing his speech, Instructor Lü pulled his wife back home.

Jiang Wenwan and Zhou Yunting exchanged a glance, both with smiles in their eyes.

How many things must Instructor Lü's sister-in-law have been borrowed from and never returned? She must be traumatized by all of it.

Zhou Yunting looked around the courtyard; this was where they would live from now on.

The yard must have been tidied up a bit; the person who did it was probably my sister-in-law.

A small plot of land in the yard can be turned into a vegetable garden, but don't underestimate it; you can grow quite a lot of things in a small plot.

Pushing open the door, the room was empty; this was the outer room. Further in was the inner room.

There was a wooden plank bed inside, which didn't look very sturdy.

There was no wardrobe or anything; it was completely empty.

"How about we build a kang (heated brick bed) then?"

Put a wardrobe here, and a large desk under the window.

It looks like I'll need to find an opportunity to go to the county and get all these things ready.

Zhou Yunting listened to her and nodded repeatedly with a smile in his eyes.

"Okay! This will be our little home from now on. You can decorate it however you like. I'll listen to you."

The kitchen has pots and lids, and that's about it.

"It seems we'll need to build a cupboard; we don't have any pots, pans, or other kitchenware."

There's also firewood; looking at this, I'm sure I'll be quite busy.

"I'm here too. With me here, how could I leave you to do all the work alone?"

Today is for reporting for duty. Tomorrow I'll take a day off to go to the county and get everything our family needs ready.

You have me, so don't always think about doing everything yourself.

Otherwise, if I, as the battalion commander, can't even properly arrange things at home, how can I have the face to conduct training?

Jiang Wenwan couldn't help but smile when she heard his righteous words.

Okay!

Taking a day off to get everything in the house ready is fine.

She turned around, cupped his face in her hands, looked into his eyes, and said:

"Alright! Then I'll trouble you, my dear husband!"

Zhou Yunting reached out and hugged her waist, lowered his head and pressed his forehead against hers, looking at her with a smile.

"Don't bother, I'd do anything for you, I'd give you my life from now on."

tonight,"

Ouch!

The gate to the courtyard was not closed. He was carrying a bundle of firewood and a net bag containing two bowls and two pairs of chopsticks.

Sister-in-law Song, who was standing outside the courtyard, exclaimed in pain.

The two quickly separated, and Jiang Wenwan gave an awkward smile, then greeted Sister-in-law Song:

"We're sorry to have made you laugh at us, sister-in-law. We'll definitely be more careful next time."

Song Dandan smiled and handed the items to her.

"Remember to close the door next time. Here, take this bowl. There's some firewood here too."

Let me take it inside for you, it's a bit heavy.

Jiang Wenwan didn't want to be seen as a delicate, fragile little flower.

"Sister-in-law, I'm very strong, come on."

As she spoke, she stepped forward and grabbed the bundle of firewood.

Seeing how easily she carried it, Song Dandan was a little surprised.

He said with a smile:

"You look pretty slim, but you're surprisingly strong. Okay, is there anything else you need? I'll get it for you."

This takes quite a bit of time, but considering the two large bundles they're carrying, some things can be explained.

"Thank you, sister-in-law. We don't need it for now. We can get it tomorrow if we need it."

I carried quite a few things in those two large packages on my way here.

Don't laugh at me, my sister-in-law, we brought some rice, flour, and cooking oil with us.

"Oh, wait a minute, sister-in-law, I'm getting you something."

Song Dandan smiled when she saw how easily she carried a bundle of firewood.

She now believes what her husband, Lao Lü, said.

I'm afraid she'll be like those other aunties before, taking advantage of every opportunity and practically wanting to take over her house.

She, the wife of a political instructor, is truly exhausted from supporting her husband's work.

Jiang Wenwan was seen holding a large goose egg in one hand.

The goose egg was bigger than her fist, which shocked Song Dandan so much that her eyes widened.

Jiang Wenwan handed two goose eggs to Song Dandan.

"Here you go, sister-in-law. I brought this all the way from Northeast China. You can keep it to hatch goslings or eat it, it's up to you."

Song Dandan held a large, white goose egg in one hand, looking at the egg in surprise, then at Jiang Wenwan, and then back at the egg.

"You've come from Northeast China, girl, you're really something, I wouldn't bear to eat such a big goose egg."
