"Flying Dragon!"
After Zhang Weiguo finished speaking in surprise, he was met with two little ones looking at him with accusatory expressions.
He felt embarrassed, but when he saw that Jiang Wenwan had actually hit the target, he breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, she hadn't missed because of his voice.
"Hit! Hit!"
"Yay! Sister Jiang has defeated the flying dragon!"
Zhang Weiguo was also happy and ran over with them to see.
Jiang Wenwan remained steady, and the pebble hit the flying dragon's head perfectly.
She hurriedly ran over and picked up the dragon.
She finally managed to kill a dragon! Great! Now she can go to the scrap yard to find that old man.
"Jiang Zhiqing, your slingshot is so powerful, why do you need to buy a gun!"
Glancing at Zhang Weiguo, Jiang Wenwan took out a rope from her pocket and tied Feilong up, saying as she did so:
"Of course I'll buy it! With this, I can go hunting for clubs with the villagers!"
Zhang Weiguo: I was too naive.
I thought she was really going hunting, but it turns out she was thinking about clubs.
He scratched his head sheepishly and said:
"So you wanted to go find a club."
"Zhang Weiguo, what are you doing up the mountain?"
Zhang Weiguo only remembered when asked.
"Ah, I came to invite them home for dinner, I almost forgot."
The garlic sprouts giggled.
"Uncle, we've already eaten. You can go back and eat by yourself!"
We also need to help Sister Jiang gather pig feed.
Zhang Weiguo was speechless. In the end, he went back alone and said goodbye to both families.
In the afternoon, Jiang Wenwan found it too tiring to keep craning her neck to look up at the trees, so she simply used ropes to make a hammock between the two trees.
"Sister Jiang, how did you do that?"
The two little children looked at the hammock in amazement.
Jiang Wenwan just fooled them.
"These are the bed sheets and ropes I hid in the mountains last time I went in. I was just thinking of taking it easy in the mountains, wasn't I?"
Shh! Don't tell the villagers, this is our secret.
You guys go upstairs and play first, take a nap, and then continue helping me gather pig feed this afternoon.
"Yay, that's great."
The two little ones cheered and climbed onto the hammock. After playing happily for a while, they swayed themselves to sleep.
Jiang Wenwan took out a summer blanket and covered them with it. She then took out a stool and sat down, leaning against a tree to continue watching the woods.
She held the slingshot in her hand, ready to fire as soon as she saw the dragon.
It would be best to catch another one this afternoon, so we can sell one and keep one for the old man.
After her close watch, she finally spotted a flying dragon in a tree.
She got up and put the stool back into her spatial storage. She cautiously approached, and was about to make her move when she was close enough to fire.
A yellow object lunged at the flying dragon.
Holy crap!
Isn't that a little weasel?
Just then, it pounced on the flying dragon, and Jiang Wenwan thought it was going to be thrown off with the dragon.
The dragon spread its wings and surprisingly didn't fall, but it rolled a bit when it landed.
She rushed over and saw that the dragon had already been bitten to death by it.
A man and a weasel stared at each other.
Jiang Wenwan looked at him and spoke.
"This is just what you caught, it's yours."
The little weasel has become a spirit; it can even nod.
Then it ran off with the dragon in its mouth.
Jiang Wenwan suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.
Tsk tsk! Weren't animals not allowed to become spirits?
She went back and put away the summer blanket. The two little ones woke up and got up shyly to help her gather pig feed.
She lay in the hammock looking around; she didn't see any dragons, but she did see two rabbits.
"If I could catch two rabbits every day, I could catch six, no, seven hundred and thirty in a year."
Wow! That's 1460 in those two years..."
She tied the two rabbits up, then shook her head. Forget it, it's not realistic. She can still hunt roe deer, deer, and bears.
That way, in winter we'll have deer hides for coats, roe deer hides for boots, bear hides for hats, and rabbit hides for gloves!
Before going back in the afternoon, she finally managed to kill another dragon.
She stuffed a White Rabbit milk candy into the mouths of the two little children, then carried a basket of pig feed in one hand to Lanxiang Vocational School to record her work points.
Once weighed, there was still too much left over from Lanxiang Vocational School.
Can all of them be accumulated?
Hearing Jiang Wenwan ask this question, Lan Xiang was speechless and shook his head.
"No, I'll give you three work points."
"Okay, I'll take the day off tomorrow to go to the city, so I won't be working. I'll continue the day after tomorrow."
Lanxiang Vocational School sighed, "Who says life is hard?"
He was envious of Jiang Zhiqing's life.
They delivered the two rabbits to the Qiao family and gave them six cents for skinning them.
Carrying two pieces of rabbit meat back to the educated youth settlement, he learned that Feng Chunzao's wedding date was set for the day after tomorrow.
That's pretty fast.
That's true. There's no engagement ceremony at this time. If you're engaged, you can just get your marriage certificate in a few days.
"Let me tell you, not only did Feng Chunzao's family not give her any money for her wedding, they also said they wanted her to send 100 catties of brown rice home at a time, which Feng Chunzao would have to save up little by little."
How could anyone have parents like that?
Jiang Wenwan nodded.
Not everyone deserves to be a parent.
Zhu Xiaomin puffed out her cheeks angrily, looking like she was furious.
"I'm so angry, the more I think about it, the angrier I get."
Her parents are just like my grandma's. Luckily, my parents aren't like that. They treat my brother and me the same, otherwise I'd be furious!
"It's just a deep-rooted, old-fashioned preference for sons over daughters; it's difficult to change!"
Even hundreds of years later, there are still many cases of daughters using their dowries to buy houses for their sons.
