Chapter 44 I confess, please be lenient

The last time Jiang Wenwan saw them was at the train station; they were still wearing military uniforms with four pockets.

At this time, they became educated youth sent to the countryside, and coincidentally, they were also in the same production brigade.

Wu Weiguo turned his head, wanting to meet Zhou Yunting's gaze, but found that Zhou Yunting's eyes were on the female educated youth he had seen at the train station.

Zhou Yunting looked at Jiang Wenwan, and Jiang Wenwan looked at him. Their eyes met for a moment, and they nodded to each other at the same time.

The brigade leader crushed some tobacco leaves into the pipe in the book. He really didn't expect that bringing the new educated youth here would lead to such a farce.

He said to Du Zhiyuan:

"The luggage of the new educated youth has been placed at your educated youth settlement. You can decide how to arrange it later!"

He could have lived several more years if he had just stayed out of his way.

Jiang Wenwan coughed lightly. Thinking about what had just happened, she probably had no image left.

The atmosphere here is a bit awkward.

Those rowdy kids all left, especially the one with chicken droppings on his face, who glared at Jiang Wenwan fiercely before leaving.

Zhou Yunting noticed his expression and silently memorized the boy's appearance.

Then he began to introduce himself.

"Hello comrades, hello fellow villagers, we are newly arrived educated youth, my name is Zhou Yunting."

Wu Weiguo, who was standing next to him, quickly spoke up as well.

"My name is Wu Weiguo."

Maddie frowned and glanced at them sideways, muttering annoyedly with a pout.

"Ugh, so annoying! Two more of them have shown up!"

Jiang Wenwan glared at him as she listened to his muttering.

"Your room is so big, don't you have enough room to sleep?"

Maddie rolled his eyes and pursed his lips, saying impatiently:

"I can sleep anywhere!"

Du Zhiyuan was relatively friendly, introducing himself and then greeting Zhou Yunting and the other two.

"From now on, we're all comrades, so don't be shy."

After saying that, he and the Zhao family carried Zhao Dayong into the house. The groom was injured and could not drink, so the new bride did not need to come out to toast.

Those three lads went to wash their faces and change their clothes. After their expressions changed, they came toward Du Zhiyuan and his group.

"This is such a joyous occasion! Come on, let's have a drink. I heard that the educated youth in your settlement are all great drinkers. I'll have a drink with you."

The young man next to him, who was scattering soot from the bottom of the pot, also said:

"Come on, brothers, let's show some hospitality and have a good drink tonight!"

Du Zhiyuan and Ma Debi exchanged a glance, then looked at the other educated youth.

Ma Debi turned his attention to Zhou Yunting, who hated that the newly arrived educated youth had to share a room with him.

"Zhou, Yunting, right? Then I'll call you Zhou Zhiqing. You're even taller than me. Can you hold your liquor?"

Zhou Yunting smiled.

He was already handsome and tall, and judging from Ma Debi's appearance, he was clearly unfriendly.

He exchanged a glance with Wu Weiguo, then quickly glanced at Jiang Wenwan at the other table and said:

"Come!"

Upon hearing this, Ma Debi immediately started to jeer.

"Okay, here you go, have a bowl."

After saying that, he took out a bowl and gave it to Zhou Yunting, then provoked the young man opposite him.

"Who do you think you are?"

Any one of us here could outdrink you all. What are you people anyway?

The young man opposite him had been holding his breath for a long time, but he couldn't make a move against Jiang Wenwan now.

The only option was to first target the male educated youth and cause them trouble.

The young man was also very arrogant. He was the village head's son, and none of the other educated youths in their village dared to lay a hand on him.

The educated youth from the 18th brigade started to show off.

When he saw Zhou Yunting step forward, he pushed him away.

"You stay out of here. This is none of your business, you two newcomers. I'm going to go have a drink with them today."

After saying that, he looked at Matthias and said:

"What's wrong, bro? Not giving me any face?"

"Who do you think you are? Why should I give you face?"

Matthias stepped forward, but instead of making a move, he provoked with his eyes.

The young man stepped forward and gestured with his chin.

"I'm not giving you any drinks today, and I'll take your surname!"

Ma Debi and the others started drinking, and Jiang Wenwan's gaze unconsciously drifted towards Zhou Yunting's group, thinking to herself, how could they possibly have come to be educated youth?

There's probably something fishy going on here.

Zhou Yunting also looked over, and their eyes met again in mid-air.

Tan Yumiao also noticed Zhou Yunting's gaze towards Jiang Wenwan. Turning her head, she saw Jiang Wenwan looking at him as well, and deliberately spoke loudly:

"Jiang Zhiqing, did your boyfriend, who's in the army, write to you again last time?"

Jiang Wenwan glanced at her sideways and ignored her.

Then Tan Yumiao turned her head and whispered:

"Jiang Zhiqing, what do you think of the new educated youth Zhou compared to your boyfriend?"

Jiang Wenwan wanted to kick someone again.

He then raised an eyebrow and said in a voice that was neither too loud nor too soft:

"What? You've taken a liking to Madepi?"

Tan Yumiao's face immediately darkened.

"Jiang Zhiqing, don't talk nonsense, I didn't."

"You seem to be having a lot of fun talking nonsense, but you can't talk nonsense here?"

"What's it to you?"

Tan Yumiao glanced at Zhou Yunting and switched to her pitiful, innocent mode.

“Jiang Zhiqing, I only asked you because I was concerned about you. How could you do this?”

She rolled her eyes at her; she's really putting on a dramatic show!

He continued eating his food, ignoring her completely.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Zhao Dahe ran over and whispered to Jiang Wenwan:

"Madby said he can't hold on any longer and asked if you had any ideas?"

Jiang Wenwan took out two hangover pills from her spatial storage and handed them to him.
