Qian Xuedong slapped his thigh, stood up, and the dejection in his eyes vanished.
"Alright! I'll risk my reputation to get the documents for you! As long as it's within my authority, you can look at them as you like! I'll call the archives right now!"
Qian Xuedong picked up the military phone on the table again and dialed the exploration team directly.
After Geng Xiangdong said something on the other end of the phone, Qian Xuedong's voice became louder again.
"You stubborn old man! Comrade Su said he doesn't want you! He just wants to see the old files from six years ago! Are you going to stop him from doing that?!"

As soon as Su Tang reached the door, she heard a burst of laughter coming from inside.
"Hahaha, Lin Fan, what kind of daydream are you having now?" A gruff old team member, holding a crumpled report in his hand, threw it into the corner trash can like a basketball shot.
Several older soldiers, dressed in faded old military uniforms and looking quite old, were gathered together.
"Lin Fan, that report of yours about 'geological faults causing deep mineral veins to move upwards,' I think you've read too many books and made your brain stupid!"
Another team member chimed in, "Exactly! We guys who're out in the field every day haven't noticed anything, so what can a college student who's only been here a few days and spends all his time indoors looking at documents possibly discover? You're all just armchair strategist!"
One of the veteran players deliberately raised his voice, which caused everyone to burst into laughter again.
"Hahaha, I knew it! Studying books is useless! We geologists have to use our feet to measure and our eyes to see! How can you find minerals by holding those few tattered books all day? Young man, you're too ambitious! You'll regret not listening to your elders!"
In the innermost corner of the office, a young man wearing black-rimmed glasses and looking refined was squatting on the floor.
His name is Lin Fan. He is a college student who was recently assigned to the team. Because he doesn't like to talk and always likes to study some theories that the older team members think are vague and ethereal, he has always been ostracized.
Lin Fan's face flushed red, his lips pressed tightly together, and he silently endured these barbed insults.
He bent down, trying to pick up the crumpled report that belonged to him, which had been thrown next to the trash can by the door.
Just as his fingertips were about to touch the wad of scrap paper, the office door creaked open.
A slender yet upright figure walked in against the light.
Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw a slender, fair-skinned, and exceptionally beautiful young woman standing at the door.
She was dressed in clean clothes and had a cool, aloof demeanor, which seemed out of place in the rough office.
Upon seeing such a beautiful woman, the boisterous laughter of these roughnecks abruptly ceased.
They were all eager to come up and greet Su Tang.
Su Tang's cold gaze swept across the entire room, finally landing on the embarrassed young man in the corner.
Lin Fan: "Comrade, who are you looking for?"
