Chapter 23 Emergency Rescue on the Train! (2/2)

"You're too kind, it was nothing at all."

The night grew deeper.

The lights in the carriage were dimmed, and most of the passengers had fallen asleep.

The train's clattering rhythm was like a lullaby.

Su Tang kept her eyes closed, but her mind was highly alert.

Sure enough, around 2 a.m., a very faint metallic scraping sound was heard.

The lock on the private room door is being pried open from the outside.

Su Tang silently opened her eyes and, through the crack in the door, saw several dark figures sneaking towards their private room.

Ha, they really won't give up.

She had just sat up when she heard a sharp shout from the corridor: "Don't move! Police!"

It was Officer Wang and his team!

The corridor instantly descended into chaos, filled with sounds of fighting and muffled groans.

"Catch one!"

"One of them escaped!"

"Oh no! He's going to bite the poison and commit suicide!"

"Thump!"

A loud thud was heard as something heavy fell to the ground, indicating that they hadn't managed to stop it.

Su Tang's guess was correct; if it were an ordinary thief, they would be more focused on money.

But this group of "thieves" is different. They risk their lives to steal things, and if they fail in their mission, they will commit suicide. They are undoubtedly enemy agents.

Another enemy agent who was captured also resisted fiercely and, after being subdued, also chose to commit suicide.

There was one survivor who, seeing the situation was dire, frantically smashed open a window and tried to jump off the speeding train!

"Stop him!"

Police officer Wang shouted, but the distance was too far, and it was too late.

At this critical moment, a silver light flew from Su Tang's fingertip, as fast as lightning, and silently pierced the back of the enemy agent's neck.

The enemy agent, who was about to climb out of the window, suddenly froze, then collapsed to the ground like a rag doll, unconscious.

The whole process was so fast that almost no one could see it clearly.

Police officer Wang felt as if something flashed before his eyes, and then the desperate criminal collapsed. He was full of doubts, but the situation was urgent and he didn't have time to think about it. He quickly ordered his men to drag the criminal back.

Inside the private room, the middle-aged man and his entourage were quite frightened by the scene.

The middle-aged man, in particular, clutched his chest, his face pale, and he was breathing heavily.

"Teacher! Teacher, what's wrong?" the middle-aged man's attendant cried out in alarm.

The middle-aged man's lips were purple, large beads of sweat rolled down his forehead, and he curled up, convulsing in pain.

"Quick! Someone's having a seizure!"

"Doctor! Is there a doctor on the bus?!"

The train's public address system urgently announced: "Attention passengers, a passenger in carriage 12 has suddenly fallen seriously ill. The situation is critical. If any medical personnel are on board, please proceed to carriage 12 immediately to assist in providing treatment! I repeat..."

Several passengers who knew a little about first aid gathered around, some pinching his philtrum, others loosening his collar, but they were all helpless.

The middle-aged man's condition is getting worse and worse; he's on the verge of death!

"Get out of the way! Everyone get out of the way!"

Su Tang pushed through the crowd and quickly came to the middle-aged man's side.

She glanced at it and said in a deep voice, "Acute myocardial infarction! Immediate emergency treatment is necessary!"

As she spoke, she quickly took out a small porcelain bottle from her bag—actually, it was a nitroglycerin pill from the space medicine laboratory—poured out a few pills, and asked the guard next to her to help her put them under the middle-aged man's tongue.

"Have him lie flat with his head slightly elevated to keep his airway clear!" Su Tang instructed methodically.

Those around her were infected by her calm aura and subconsciously acted according to her instructions.

"Comrade, are you...are you a doctor?" Officer Wang asked urgently.

"I guess so." Without looking up, Su Tang placed her hands together on a specific spot on the middle-aged man's chest and began professional CPR.

Her movements were precise and powerful, each press landing perfectly.

Su Tang frowned slightly: "The situation is very bad. The medication can only provide temporary relief. He needs to undergo professional thrombolysis or surgery immediately."
