Chapter 24: The person saved was actually a big shot? (2/2)

Su Tang did not argue, but instead took out several items from her small bag and spread them out in front of everyone.

One is a commendation certificate issued by the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau for "assisting in solving cases and acting bravely for a just cause".

One is a certificate of merit awarded by the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for "solving a major espionage case".

There is also a gleaming gold medal engraved with the words "First-Class Merit"!

"This is..." Officer Wang gasped.

He only knew that Su Tang had helped catch the thief, but he never expected that she had such a powerful background!

A first-class merit award! This isn't something just anyone can get!

Xiaolin was also stunned. Looking at the certificates and medals, the doubt on his face lessened a bit, but he was still hesitant.

Su Tang looked at Xiao Lin, her tone calm:

"In addition to his acute myocardial infarction, Engineer Liang's pulse also indicated that he had long-term chronic gastritis, which was likely caused by irregular eating habits and excessive mental stress."

"Furthermore, I observed that the blood and qi in his left shoulder were slightly obstructed. If I am not mistaken, there should be an old piece of shrapnel remaining below his left scapula, which has been there for at least fifteen years. It will ache slightly on rainy days, right?"

Xiao Lin was terrified, staring at Su Tang as if he had seen a ghost!

Engineer Liang does indeed have a chronic stomach problem, which is related to the nature of his work, as everyone knows.

But the shrapnel in his left shoulder! That was an old wound Liang suffered on the battlefield of the Korean War! Apart from a few of his closest old comrades and family, no outsider could possibly know about it! And Liang himself never mentioned it easily!

How did this girl know?!

"How...how did you know?!" Kobayashi's voice trembled slightly.

Su Tang said calmly, "Traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes observation, listening, questioning, and palpation; some things can be discerned from them."

Actually, she discovered it while performing CPR on Liang Jianguo.

Now, Xiaolin had no more doubts, and her eyes were filled with awe and hope as she looked at Su Tang.

"Dr. Su... Dr. Su! Please! Please, you must save our Engineer Liang!"

He immediately started calling her Dr. Su.

The police officer and the old doctor from the clinic looked at each other, both stunned by Su Tang's move.

“Okay, Dr. Su, we trust you! Whatever you need, we’ll do our best to cooperate!” Officer Wang made the decision immediately.

The clinic urgently vacated its cleanest treatment room.

Su Tang asked everyone to leave, citing the need for thorough disinfection and prohibiting unauthorized personnel from entering, leaving only Xiao Lin to guard the door in case anyone disturbed them.

After closing the door, Su Tang immediately took out a complete set of 22nd-century minimally invasive surgical instruments, sterile surgical gowns, disposable sterile sheets, various emergency medicines, and a portable vital signs monitor from her space.

She quickly changed into her surgical gown, put on a mask and cap, and set up the makeshift operating table on the simple hospital bed in the treatment room.

To the outside world, she claimed that she used a special acupuncture technique combined with medication.

In fact, she was preparing to use 22nd-century medical technology to perform an incredible "minimally invasive interventional surgery".

Outside the door, police officer Wang, Xiao Lin, and the doctors from the clinic waited anxiously.

They could only vaguely see Su Tang's busy figure inside through the cracks in the door or window, and hear the faint sounds of metal instruments colliding.

Time passed second by second, each second feeling like an eternity.

Xiaolin was so nervous that her palms were sweaty, and she kept pacing back and forth at the door.

More than an hour later.

The door to the treatment room finally opened.

Su Tang came out, her forehead covered with fine beads of sweat, and her face was somewhat pale.
