A squad of fourteen fully armed soldiers, no matter how much they underestimated the enemy, shouldn't have made the camp's defenses so porous that even the most basic sentries were asleep.
Her gaze fell on the largest command tent in the center of the camp.
The tent flap was tightly closed, and there wasn't a single patrolman or guard at the entrance, but a faint light shone through from inside.
“Gao Kai,” Su Tang put down her binoculars, her voice devoid of any emotion, “If you were the commander who stayed behind, where would you place the camp’s best sniper?”
Gao Kai was taken aback, not expecting Teacher Su to ask that. Without thinking, he blurted out based on instinct and experience:
"Of course! It's definitely the highest point around the command tent! Like the watchtower at the camp entrance, or those big trees nearby. That's where the view is best, protecting the commander's safety and giving a panoramic view of the entire area, controlling all the access routes to and from the camp."
This is the most conventional and correct tactical arrangement.
"Is that so?" Su Tang said casually.
Gao Kai was completely confused and was about to ask what it meant when Su Tang turned around and gave the order.
Her orders were completely different from Gao Kai's expectations.
"Everyone stay put. Without my order, do not fire a single shot, do not move an inch, and do not make any sound."
The ranks fell silent instantly. The soldiers, who had been rubbing their hands together in anticipation, were stunned, exchanging bewildered glances, their excitement frozen in place.

"Most importantly, there must be absolutely no exchanging fire."
This order stunned everyone.
You're already at someone's doorstep, the door is wide open, why not just rush in and instead be so cautious?
Gao Kai became even more anxious, feeling that Su An was being overly cautious this time.
"Teacher Su, just the three of us? This...this is too slow! If we're discovered, we won't even have a chance to fight back! Those guys in Battalion Two probably think we're too scared to fight, and their morale is low! We can't miss this opportunity!"
"Execute the order." Su Tang didn't explain, but simply repeated those four words calmly.
