Chapter 329 Giving You a Choice (2/2)

The soldiers who had felt a little sympathy just moments before, thinking the punishment was a bit excessive, now had that sympathy vanish instantly, replaced by a sense of schadenfreude.

In the military, discipline is paramount, and obeying orders is a soldier's duty. The most taboo thing is to gossip behind someone's back or talk back to superiors. These people are practically walking into the line of fire!

Standing in the queue, Gao Kai felt even more refreshed than if he had drunk iced plum juice on a sweltering summer day.

He turned his head, lowered his voice, and said to Su An beside him in an excited tone, "Teacher Su, did you see that? What did I tell you? Evil people will always be punished by other evil people! This time, those bastards have really kicked a hornet's nest!"

He was so angry at those people in the cafeteria at noon, but seeing them in this miserable state now, he felt a sense of relief from every pore of his body.

Now, Zhang Kui lay limply nearby like a dead dog, too weak even to whimper. His henchmen, on the other hand, faced a punishment a thousand times worse than a beating.

This is karma, it came so fast!

Standing on Su An's other side, Wang Xiaoya's face flushed with excitement. She lowered her voice and said:

"Sister Su An, look! Those guys are so scared they've turned pale! Serves them right! Who told them to talk about you like that in the cafeteria at noon! I think this new instructor was sent by God just to get revenge for you!"

Although Chen Xiaocao didn't speak, her usually timid eyes now gleamed with a relieved light as she nodded vigorously.

As Su Tang listened to Gao Kai and Wang Xiaoya's excited whispers, she remained calm on the surface, only giving a faint "hmm," but her gaze never left the tall figure in the center of the playground.

She wasn't as calm as she appeared. She knew Qin Ye's style all too well: direct, efficient, and leaving no room for compromise.

His actions today were partly to establish his authority, but given her understanding of him, there must be a deeper reason.

Just then, Lei Kuan, who was standing to the side, came to his senses.

He looked at the bucket of swill, then at the three people kneeling on the ground trembling like leaves, and his brows furrowed into a knot.

He walked up to Qin Ye, lowered his voice, and said in a slightly conciliatory tone, "Instructor Qin, isn't this... a bit too much? If this gets out, it won't have a good impact. How about we punish them by making them clean up the pigsty in the back mountain for a month? That would be a good lesson."

Lei Kuan thought to himself, "This kid is ruthless, but he's too young and doesn't consider the consequences of his actions."

Punishing soldiers with swill is a serious offense. If the higher-ups found out, they would be accused of "mistreating soldiers," a charge no one could bear.

Qin Ye didn't even turn his head, his gaze still fixed on Li Erniu and the other two, his voice devoid of any warmth: "Instructor Lei, Vice Minister Zheng said that I am fully responsible for the training."

With just one sentence, Lei Kuan was silenced by all his words.

Lei Kuan was met with a cold shoulder, feeling both angry and helpless. This kid was like a rock in a latrine, both smelly and stubborn! But he couldn't refute him, so he could only retreat to the side with a dark face, pondering how he should write a self-criticism report if something really went wrong.

Qin Ye shifted his gaze from the three kneeling figures to the three foul-smelling swill buckets and began to speak.

"I don't like listening to nonsense."

He paused, as if he was thinking about something.

Everyone in the room held their breath, afraid to even breathe loudly. They knew the most crucial moment was about to arrive.

How exactly will this devilish instructor deal with these three unlucky guys?

Are we really going to make them...eat?

Just thinking about that scene makes many people feel nauseous.

Qin Ye's gaze swept back and forth between the three wooden barrels, and then he slowly spoke, his voice not loud, but clearly reaching everyone's ears.

"Since you know you've made mistakes and are willing to beg for forgiveness, I'll give you a choice."
