Chapter 382 Still Talking Tough Even When Facing Death (2/2)

Chen Xiaocao, hands on her hips, chimed in angrily, "That's right! Sister Su An wanted to save people. Some people are corrupt themselves, so they see everyone else as corrupt!"

But their voices were quickly drowned out by more doubts.

Bai Wei's cursing continued, though her voice grew weaker and weaker, but her resentment seemed to penetrate the mud.

Su Tang stood on the shore, looking at her calmly, as if she were watching a clown making a scene. She didn't even bother to explain.

Words are meaningless to someone who is about to drown but refuses a lifebuoy and instead curses their rescuers. Facts will speak louder than words.

Amidst the noise and chaos, a cold, emotionless voice, like a December wind, swept across the entire playground, silencing everyone abruptly.

"If you keep talking nonsense, I'll bury you in there as a specimen."

Everyone shuddered and looked in the direction of the sound.

On the high platform, Qin Ye had somehow moved to the very front. He was still wearing his crisp training uniform, his posture as sturdy as a javelin, his face expressionless, his deep eyes fixed down on Bai Wei in the mud.

That look contained no anger, no impatience, only a pure, indifferent coldness.

It was as if he wasn't making a threat, but stating a fact that was about to happen.

If she said one more word, he would really keep her here forever, making her a part of this quagmire.

Bai Wei's curse caught in her throat, unable to utter a single word. She met Qin Ye's gaze, a look that seemed to regard an inanimate object, sending chills down her spine.

Fear completely overwhelmed jealousy and resentment.

Bai Wei trembled all over, like a duck being choked, and instantly fell silent, no longer daring to make a sound.

The entire edge of the mud pit was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Su Tang turned her head slightly and glanced at the man on the high platform who had swayed the entire audience for her, a warm feeling washing over her.

Qin Ye's words were like a bucket of ice water, extinguishing all the noise and doubts in the room.

The students who had been whispering and questioning Su Tang's motives just moments before now all had their heads down, silent as cicadas in winter, not daring to even breathe loudly.

Only then did they belatedly realize that Instructor Qin had not raised any objection to Su An's seemingly absurd "watering down" plan from beginning to end.

If he says yes, then yes! Who dares to say no again?

In the mud, Bai Wei kept her mouth tightly shut, her body trembling violently from the cold and fear.

The mud was almost up to her neck. With every breath, she could smell the earth. The pressure on her chest was getting stronger and stronger, making her feel like her lungs were about to burst.

She's about to give up.

Even so, she still refused to ask for help.

In the midst of this suffocating stalemate, a rough, tearful roar suddenly erupted from beside Bai Wei:

"I believe it! I believe in supernatural things! Comrade Su An! Don't worry about her! Save me first! Save me first!"
