Su Tang walked up to him, casually tossed the hunting rifle in her hand, making a dull thud.
Then, under the horrified gaze of the tall, thin man, she rummaged through her backpack, actually exchanging a large handful of specially made handcuffs that gleamed with a cold metallic light and several bundles of sturdy hemp rope from her spatial storage.
Su Tang threw the things in front of him.
"Go, cuff all their hands and feet, and tie them tightly with rope, including yourself. If they dare to try anything..."
She didn't finish her sentence, but the warning in her eyes was more effective than any threat.
The tall, thin man didn't dare hesitate for a second. Terrified, he nodded repeatedly, "No! Grandma, I wouldn't dare! I'll go right away!"
He picked up the handcuffs and found them to be heavy. Moreover, as soon as he put the handcuffs on the wrists and ankles of those people, they would automatically lock with a "click" and fit perfectly.
He was horrified. My God, what kind of magical thing is this?
Soon, all eight thugs, including Lao Hei, were tied up, looking like pigs waiting to be slaughtered. Their previous arrogance was gone, replaced only by painful groans.
After dealing with those people, Su Tang and Qin Ye returned to their two children.
Qin Ye had already taken off his military overcoat and wrapped it tightly around the little boy, whose lips were turning purple from the cold and who was in a semi-conscious state, warming him with his burning chest.
Su Tang then knelt down and gently spoke to the still-shaken little girl in Tibetan:
"Don't be afraid, we've chased all the bad guys away. What's your name?"
The little girl's big eyes were still filled with tears. She looked at the beautiful and capable older sister in front of her and whispered:
“My name is Gesang. Sister, can you save my brother Danzeng? And…and my parents, they haven’t come home yet…”
She felt that the older brother and sister in front of her must be messengers sent by the mountain god, and that they would surely be able to save everyone.
"Don't worry," Su Tang reached out and touched her cold little face, "Your little brother is just frozen. Your brother will hold him and he'll warm up soon."
She paused, then said, "Gesang, take us to the granary, okay? We'll go save them, all the villagers."
"Yes!" Gesang nodded heavily.
Qin Ye carried Danzeng, while Su Tang held Gesang's hand. The two exchanged a glance, their expressions both very solemn.
The sky was beginning to darken, and the wind and snow intensified, stinging like knives against one's face.
"We can't force our way in." Qin Ye lowered his voice, his breath turning into a cloud of white mist in the frigid air.
“There are more than 30 of them, and more than a dozen hunting rifles. Once a firefight breaks out, the imprisoned villagers will become hostages, which is too dangerous.”
He knew in his heart that no matter how skilled he was at close combat with Su Tang, he couldn't stop bullets.
Especially when it comes to protecting hostages, they are even more constrained.
"I understand." Su Tang nodded, her mind racing. "Saving lives is the priority, we can't wait."
She knew that this bunch of scum was just a rabble, and they were able to come together because of two things:
A ruthless leader and enough food to fill their stomachs.
"We should take them down one by one, seize the granaries, and then rescue the people. With our combined efforts from inside and outside, we can achieve twice the result with half the effort."
Qin Ye immediately understood what she meant and nodded.
Led by Gesang, they trudged through the mud towards the largest building in the center of the village.
The granary is the only stone building in the village that hasn't completely collapsed, but half of it is buried under thick snow, with only the dark roof showing.
As you get closer, you can faintly hear the commotion and shouting coming from inside.
"We need to settle the children first." Qin Ye looked around and pointed to a small space not far away, formed by boulders and collapsed wooden beams. "We can take shelter from the wind there for now."
He carried Tenzin over and used an entrenching tool to clear a dry patch of ground. After confirming that the structure was stable, he carefully placed the child inside.
Su Tang took out two thick wool blankets, some high-calorie biscuits, and some water from her backpack and handed them to Gesang.
