Chapter 99 Commander: You two have done a great service (2/2)

Is this a report on the victory, or a retelling of Sun Wukong's havoc in the Heavenly Palace in "Journey to the West"?

Liu Zhenhua stared at Qin Ye, his gaze seemingly trying to bore a hole through his face.

"Qin Ye, you better tell me the truth, what exactly happened? Don't give me that bureaucratic nonsense!"

He knew Qin Ye was the top soldier in the military region, but this record was just too outrageous.

Qin Ye's expression was serious and earnest, showing no sign of joking.

"Reporting to the deputy commander, it's absolutely true! The prisoners are being held in the stone house at the west end of the village. You can interrogate them at any time!"

Just then, a military doctor wearing a white coat and glasses got out of a military vehicle, followed by a medical team.

"I am Wei Gang, the leader of the medical team! Where are the wounded? Take us there quickly!"

Wei Gang looked anxious; he was mentally prepared to face a scene of corpses strewn across the land and cries of agony filling the air.

But when he followed Qin Ye into the stone house that served as a temporary camp for the wounded, he was completely stunned.

The imagined chaos and devastation did not materialize at all.

Before us was a well-organized temporary camp.

The wounded were sorted and placed on the ground covered with dry grass, clearly distinguishing between the seriously injured and the lightly injured.

All the wounds were treated and bandaged with clean sheets torn into strips; the technique looked quite professional.

Even... in a corner, there was a makeshift "isolation area" partitioned off with stones and wooden planks, where several patients with fevers were lying.

This...this doesn't look like a medical scene in a disaster area at all!

Wei Gang felt like his brain wasn't working properly.

He strode over to a seriously wounded soldier, knelt down, and carefully unwrapped the bandages from his leg.

The wound was deep, almost exposing the bone, but there was no sign of infection or suppuration around it; it was cleaned up very well.

He then took out his stethoscope to listen to the heartbeat and looked at the eyes.

Vital signs are unusually stable!

This is a truly rare sight in the snow disaster area where medical resources are scarce and the environment is harsh.

Wei Gang was in turmoil. He stood up and looked intently at Qin Ye.

"Commander Qin, which doctor treated these wounded soldiers? Their skill level is even better than the chief physician at our military region's general hospital!"

Before Qin Ye could speak, the old village chief Batu interrupted, his face filled with pride and reverence.

"It was the divine messenger who saved us!"

Wei Gang followed the village chief's gaze and looked at the young girl who had been standing quietly beside Qin Ye.

He was completely dumbfounded.

Just... just her?

So young?

She looks younger than the youngest nurse in his medical team. Is she really that amazing?

After listening to Qin Ye's complete report and seeing with his own eyes the forty-three tightly bound bandits and the well-organized wounded camp, Liu Zhenhua patted Qin Ye heavily on the shoulder.

"Good job, lad!"

His eyes were full of admiration and praise when he looked at Qin Ye.

After speaking, he turned his gaze to Su Tang beside him, his eyes becoming deep.

"As for you, Comrade Su Tang..."

Liu Zhenhua paused, seemingly considering his words.

"As a doctor, you have done an outstanding job! Your spirit and ability to save lives in such an environment are worthy of emulation by all comrades in the military region!"

"You two have done an incredible service this time!"

"When we get back to the military region, I'll personally recommend you two for commendation!"
