Chapter 470 Appreciating Subordinates and Cherishing Talent (1/2)

Chapter 470 Appreciating Subordinates and Cherishing Talent A thrilling incident came to a close thanks to Qin Ye's swift and decisive handling of it.

From beginning to end, he never asked a single question about what exactly happened to Wang Xiaoya.

Because he knows everything.

And because, for him, the truth is simply not important.

The important thing is that his people cannot suffer the slightest grievance.

As Bai Wei was carried away, the suffocating atmosphere on the training field finally eased a little, but the air was still filled with the smell of blood, dirt, and a complex emotion that was hard to describe.

Everyone's mind was still buzzing.

Bai Wei's madness, the vicious truths she revealed, Su An's swift and almost cruel revenge, Chief Instructor Qin Ye's domineering protection... all of this was so overwhelming and impactful, like a hurricane that it turned everyone's understanding upside down.

Qin Ye surveyed the entire room, his gaze sweeping over every face still filled with shock and excitement, his voice returning to its usual cold and hard tone.

Have you seen enough?

The trainees jolted awake, instantly snapping back to reality and instinctively straightening their backs. They didn't even dare to breathe loudly.

"Keep what happened today a secret to everyone!" Qin Ye's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable authority. "Anyone who dares to gossip outside and leak even a single word will be dealt with according to military law!"

"Did you understand?"

"I understand!"

Nearly a hundred people roared in unison, their voices shaking the heavens.

They all understood that Qin Ye was protecting Su An.

Bai Wei's crimes will be tried by a military court. However, if Su An's "vigilante justice" is embellished and spread by those with ulterior motives, it will ultimately damage her reputation.

Qin Ye is using the most forceful means to completely nip any potential hidden dangers in the bud.

"Very good." Qin Ye nodded, seemingly satisfied with the result.

He turned to Lei Kuan beside him. At this moment, Lei Kuan, the usually rugged and bold instructor, looked at Qin Ye with a mixture of awe and a hint of...gossip and inquiry. Old Qin's protectiveness was too obvious; it was practically as if he had the words "This is my man" engraved on his forehead.

"Instructor Lei." Qin Ye's voice interrupted Lei Kuan's reverie.

"Here!" Lei Kuan quickly put away his little thoughts, straightened his posture, and answered seriously.

"The assessment continues," Qin Ye said calmly. "This isn't worth wasting all of our time on."

"Yes!" Lei Kuan immediately reacted and blew the assembly whistle.

But Qin Ye did not return to the platform immediately. He walked to Su An's side and whispered in a voice that only the two of them could hear, "Well done."

Su An looked up at him. Deep in the man's eyes, there were emotions she could read—lingering fear, heartache, and a hint of... an impulse to pull her into his arms and hide her away.

After a pause, Qin Ye's Adam's apple bobbed, and he added, "Next time, I'll do the dirty work."

His voice was extremely low, carrying an air of command and promise that left no room for refusal.

Su An's heart felt as if it had been gently touched by a warm hand. The overwhelming killing intent and coldness that arose from revenge stirred a ripple of warmth within her. Looking at the man's resolute jawline and tightly pursed lips, she softly murmured, "Mmm."

Qin Ye looked at her deeply, his eyes surging with emotions he could barely contain. He longed to pull her into his arms right now and tell her that he was there for her.

But he couldn't.

He could only express his stance and determination in this most subtle way.

"Return to your unit," he ordered.

"Yes." Su An turned around and returned to the female soldiers' ranks.

As soon as she returned, she was surrounded by Liu Landi and several female soldiers she knew.

"Su An, are you alright?" Liu Landi's eyes were still red. "That madwoman Bai Wei didn't hurt you, did she?"

"You scared me to death! You were so cool just now!" Sun Li's eyes were full of admiration. "Those few blows were so satisfying! That's how you should deal with those heartless beasts!"

"That's right! If Xiao Ya's spirit is watching from heaven, she'll be at peace seeing you avenge her!"

Looking at their sincere and concerned faces, Su An felt a chill in her heart dissipate considerably with this simple warmth. She shook her head, forcing a somewhat stiff but reassuring smile: "I'm fine."

On the other side, Qin Ye returned to the high platform.
