“This elbow strike,” Su An looked down at her, his voice still eerily calm, “was to pay for Xiao Ya’s return.”
"When you lured her to the back mountain and left her heartbroken, did you ever think about this day?"
The entire room fell silent.
Everyone was stunned by the violent yet ritualistic scene before them.
“He’s gone mad… Su An has gone mad too…” someone stammered.
"Crazy? I think that's well done!" A male soldier excitedly waved his fist and roared in a low voice, "That's the way to deal with this kind of beast! Does she listen to reason?!"
"That's right! Hit her! Beat this vicious woman to death!"
The suppressed whispers in the crowd gradually turned into undisguised cheers.
Public anger was completely ignited.
The way they looked at Su An was no longer that of a female soldier, but that of a chivalrous hero upholding justice!
Gao Kai stopped in his tracks, his fists clenched tightly. He stared at Su An's retreating figure, his eyes filled with complex emotions—worry, excitement, and a deep sense of powerlessness.
He realized that he could never seem to catch up with her.
Jiang Yan also stopped in his tracks, looking at the slender yet powerful figure in the arena. His usually calm eyes were now filled with turbulent emotions.
He always thought he understood Su An, that she was just a female soldier with good marksmanship and a meticulous mind.
Only now did he realize that what he had seen was merely the tip of the iceberg.
What a terrifying beast was hidden inside that seemingly frail body!
Bai Wei, lying on the ground, felt like she was about to die.
The excruciating pain in her back, the fractured wrist, and the severe injury to her knee made even breathing a form of torture.
Fear, an unprecedented fear, overwhelmed her like a tidal wave.
She was scared.
She was really scared.
The Su An before my eyes is not human at all, but a vengeful ghost that crawled out of hell!
"I was wrong... I was wrong... Su An... please..." She lay prostrate in the mud, abandoning all dignity, pleading like a dog, "Let me go... I'll never do it again... please..."
"Let you go?" Su An repeated softly, slowly squatting down to meet Bai Wei's eyes, which were filled with fear and pleading.
"When the little girl begged you, did you let her go?"
After saying that, she reached out and grabbed Bai Wei's mud-stained collar, forcefully pulling her head up from the ground and making her raise her disheveled face.
"Ah!" Bai Wei cried out in pain.
Su An ignored her screams, grabbed her by the collar, and raised his other hand.
Everyone thought that a slap would land hard on Bai Wei's face.
However, Su An's hand stopped in mid-air.
She tilted her head, as if thinking about it seriously, and then said softly in an almost innocent tone, "Never mind, I won't slap you in the face."
Everyone was taken aback.
Did she soften her heart?
Just as a hint of relief at surviving a disaster flashed in Bai Wei's eyes, Su An's next words plunged her into an icy abyss.
"I'm afraid if I beat your face badly, you'll go to hell and the little girl won't recognize you."
The moment the words fell.
Su An raised his hand, his five fingers pressed together into a palm, and with a sharp gust of wind, he slammed it hard into Bai Wei's left shoulder and collarbone!
"Snap!"
Another chilling sound!
"ah--!!!"
Bai Wei's screams were more shrill than ever before, the sound distorted and out of tune, as if it could pierce one's eardrums.
Her left arm went limp and fell down, completely numb.
Su An let go of her hand, letting her fall back to the ground like a lump of mud.
"This slap was delivered for Xiaoya."
"When you fabricated evidence and slandered her innocence, did you ever think about this day?"
