After finishing work in the evening.
Xu Xinghe, having worked up a sweat in the afternoon, made a special trip to the woodshed behind the kitchen and boiled a pot of water in a large iron pot.
She found a wooden bucket, filled it with hot water, and carried it towards the female educated youth dormitory, thinking she should take a shower as soon as possible to relieve her exhaustion.
Back in her dorm, she placed the bucket at the door and went inside to get a change of clothes.
When she came out again, she was stunned.
The wooden barrel is gone.
Turning around, I saw Wang Lili carrying her wooden bucket, heading towards the washroom.
"Wang Lili, what are you doing?" Xu Xinghe quickly stepped forward to stop her. "I just boiled this hot water. If you want to take a bath, you can boil it yourself."
Wang Lili stopped, a defiant smile on her face. Instead of returning the wooden bucket, she raised her hand and tossed it away.
The wooden bucket tilted, and the scalding hot water splashed all over the ground with a loud bang, almost scalding Xu Xinghe's trouser legs.
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry." Wang Lili covered her mouth in feigned surprise, but her eyes were full of smugness. "My hand slipped and I spilled all the water. Looks like none of us can use the hot water today."
Looking at the water stains all over the ground and the gradually dissipating heat in the air, Xu Xinghe's anger flared up instantly.
Previously, Wang Lili was just being sarcastic, thinking it was better to avoid trouble and not bothering to argue with the other party. But now the other party has actually attacked her and almost burned her. It's obvious that they deliberately came to cause trouble!
"Wang Lili, aren't you going too far?" Xu Xinghe's voice turned cold, her eyes filled with anger.

After saying that, she pushed Xu Xinghe away and turned to walk into the house.
Seeing her nonchalant attitude, Xu Xinghe's pent-up emotions finally erupted.
She didn't argue with Wang Lili anymore, and went straight into the dormitory to her bed.
Wang Lili's blue bundle was placed on her pillow, containing her change of clothes and some daily necessities.
Xu Xinghe opened the bundle, threw the contents onto the ground, and deliberately stomped on it a few times, instantly covering the bundle with dust and water stains.
"Ah! Li Juan, are you crazy!" Wang Lili screamed as she rushed over upon seeing this. "Why did you step on my luggage? My clothes are all dirty!"
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry." Xu Xinghe mimicked her previous tone, her face expressionless. "I just slipped and dropped your bag, and even stepped on it a few times. Looks like your luggage won't be usable today."
"You...you've gone too far!" Wang Lili trembled with anger, her eyes instantly reddening, and she reached out to push Xu Xinghe.
Hearing the arguing, Zhao Xiaoyan rushed in and saw the two women on the verge of a fight. She quickly stepped forward and pulled them apart, asking, "What's wrong with you two? Why are you arguing?"
When Wang Lili saw her return, she felt like she had found a savior. She grabbed her arm and cried uncontrollably, "Xiaoyan, look! Li Juan threw my luggage on the ground and made it so dirty! I can't wear my clothes anymore!"
As she spoke, tears streamed down her face, and her voice trembled with sobs, as if she had suffered a tremendous injustice.
Xu Xinghe stood aside, watching Wang Lili's distorted facts, and sneered.
Now that we've already crossed the line, there's no need to swallow our anger any longer.
She turned to look at Zhao Xiaoyan and said calmly, "She was the one who poured the hot water I had boiled first, and almost scalded me, so I did what she did."
Zhao Xiaoyan looked at the water stains on the ground, then at Wang Lili's red eyes from crying, and at Xu Xinghe's cold face, and was immediately at a loss.
Caught between a long-time friend and a former educated youth with whom she had a relatively harmonious relationship, she really didn't know how to offer advice.
And just by looking at it, you can tell it's Wang Lili causing trouble again...
The fact that those educated youth had good tempers and tolerated things time and time again doesn't mean they have to tolerate them forever.
She gently patted Wang Lili's hand, her tone tinged with helplessness, "Lili, did you really spill the water that someone else had boiled first?"

We can’t just stay in the dark, can we?”
"Right or wrong?" Wang Lili suddenly let go of his hand, stood up abruptly, tears still on her face, her eyes filled with disappointment and grievance. "We've been friends for so many years, and now you're not on my side, but instead you're talking to me about right and wrong? I really misjudged you!"
She wiped away her tears, turned around, and ran out the door.
"Lili!" Upon seeing this, Zhao Xiaoyan panicked and chased after her without thinking.
It's already dark. Outside the forest farm, there's only wasteland and woods, and wild animals roam at night. It's too dangerous to run out like this.
She chased after her, calling out, "Lili, don't run! It's so late, it's too dangerous outside, come back! Let's talk this out!"
