Chapter 163 Knitting a Sweater (2/2)

Not long after, the lights were turned off.

Outside the window, snow was falling, and the night was cold.

Inside the window, the warmth of spring is palpable, and sweet feelings ripple through the air.

Because of the cold weather, Ruan Yunxi rarely goes out.

It's windy at the beach, so Sister-in-law Sheng rarely takes Xiao Yingtao and the others there, afraid they'll catch a cold.

Since they don't like going out, they basically spend their time at Ruan Yunxi's house.

Ruan Yunxi unraveled many of Ning Zhenzhen's old sweaters. She didn't want the yarn, but Sister-in-law Sheng didn't mind and knitted many beautiful sweaters for the two children.

Ruan Yunxi also gave Miao Huahua a bunch of yarn so that she could knit a sweater herself.

Miao Huahua was finally at ease staying at home, knitting sweaters and woolen pants with them.

Ruan Yunxi, a novice, also started knitting woolen pants.

With guidance from Sister-in-law Sheng and the others, Ruan Yunxi finished knitting Gu Weizhou's woolen trousers in a week.

Looking at the clumsy and ugly woolen pants, Ruan Yunxi herself was disgusted, saying they looked like pig intestines.

To her surprise, Gu Weizhou didn't mind at all. After she finished knitting it, she immediately put it on: "It's comfortable, warm, and the size is just right. I'll wear it when I go out from now on. It's so cold outside, my legs will get cold."

Ruan Yunxi was pleased that he was so agreeable: "Not ugly?"

"It looks great, I like it!" Gu Weizhou, wearing woolen pants, walked around in front of her a few times, letting her admire him.

Ruan Yunxi found it offensive; if it weren't for the cold weather, who would want to wear woolen pants?

Anyway, Ruan Yunxi doesn't like wearing it.

She'll behave herself once she goes out for a while.

The wind in Lian City is indeed cold.

Ruan Yunxi searched for wool pants in her spatial storage and put them on; they were indeed much warmer.

After she changed out of them, Gu Weizhou didn't realize they were wool pants. He didn't notice when washing them, and seeing the shrunken wool pants, Gu Weizhou wondered, "Wife, why did you put Xiaoyingtao's pants in our house to wash?"

"What little cherry? These are my wool pants!" Ruan Yunxi looked at the wool pants that had shrunk so much that even a little cherry might not be able to fit into them, and didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Gu Weizhou: "Is this made of wool?"

Ruan Yunxi nodded.

Gu Weizhou said with concern, "It's my fault, I didn't wash it properly. What do we do now? Is there any hope?"

Ruan Yunxi shook her head: "I don't know either. Oh well, it's already been washed. I'll just be more careful in the future. I need to be careful when washing wool sweaters and pants. The water temperature is also very important, and you can't wring them out."

Fortunately, she wasn't wearing just a pair of wool pants, so her legs wouldn't get cold.

Gu Weizhou felt embarrassed for ruining his wife's wool pants, so when he was on leave, he borrowed a military vehicle and took Ruan Yunxi into the city: "Come on, I'll take you to the department store. Buy whatever you like."

Shopping is Ruan Yunxi's favorite thing: "I want to go eat sweet and sour pork again."

"good!"

Gu Weizhou, who was driving, grabbed Ruan Yunxi's hand and kissed it: "Let's go buy some more red sausage."

Ruan Yunxi nodded with a smile. She hadn't been to the city in a long time, and she wanted everything she saw, not just sweet and sour pork and red sausage.

Upon arriving in the city, instead of having breakfast, they took Ruan Yunxi to a grocery store for a bowl of seafood noodles. The noodles contained prawns, abalone, and squid—a huge bowl of incredibly delicious seafood noodles.

Gu Weizhou would sometimes make seafood noodles for Ruan Yunxi, and the taste was different from what you could get elsewhere.

Both are delicious.

Ruan Yunxi ate seafood, but could only manage a few bites of noodles.

When Gu Weizhou saw her put down her chopsticks and push the bowl of noodles toward him, he immediately took it and, not wanting to waste food, ate it all.

Ruan Yunxi asked, "Are you full?"

Gu Weizhou almost let out a burp.

Ruan Yunxi glanced at the brown sugar cakes that someone had fried. Gu Weizhou wanted to buy some, but she shook her head: "I can't eat more than a couple of bites."

"It's okay, you can eat what you can't finish." Gu Weizhou knew that his wife was waiting for him to say that.

Sure enough, Ruan Yunxi nodded without any hesitation. She ate two bites of the fried cake but couldn't eat anymore, so she ate it all into Gu Weizhou's mouth.
